I've got this but the large can 2500kv 10p in my sherpa build. Tested it in a parts truck and man it is impressive all that tourqe with none of the noise.
I have been running one with a 1000kv Snubnose in a 2.2 Sportsman build for the last few weeks and absolutely love it. I will definitely be picking up another for one of my scale rigs.
I love both my revolver 2500kv motors. Recently bought the regular and snubnose 2500kv. Kinda like the revolver motor sounds but it does get annoying from time to time. May have to grab 1 of theses ESCs up. Love the channel. Always the best reviews here.
@@HerederoDj Oh, really !!!! 😲....... - WAY COOL BRO !! - Thankyou !!! 👌 I was always wondering how different the HELI MOTORS & ESC's would be, and (IF) both of them could be used in a proper functional way....... - I am goin' straight to your video after Exo's video here !! 😁 - You rock bro !!!! 🤘👍 😀 Thx again
The rotor is always the spinning part of a motor. On an out drive motor it's the bell on an in drive motor it's the inner part. The stator is always the part that stands still no matter where in the motor it is
Looks like it performs great. Would it be possible to do a comparison between this combo and the Axe 2300kv 540 sometime if you still have one? Hope you're having a good day
Watching you with sv2 and optimus 3 really makes me wanna build a crawler from scratch. Only problem is I’ve never built one. I’m confident in my wrenching abilities I’m just not sure what I’d need to order do you have any links to your optimus build or sv2 build either one.
@@ExocagedRC okay thx. I checked the Optimus build kit out on the website you had the links for on Optimus 3 but wasn't sure what I needed to order but I'll check again and see if I can figure it out.
If its cogging you have an issue somewhere. Could be to tall of gearing too. The 10 pole isnt quite as smooth as a 14 either. But being 2500kv you can gear it way down to get a good crawl speed plus killer low speed control. A 14 pole 2500kv revolver and the sw4 is what I use in a few rigs and they are as smooth as butter.
In terms of value a lot of folks are running the Hobbywing Fusion as it’s only $150. This combo will fall into the same price range which is great. My guess is a lot of folks going brushless will go this Crawlmaster Mini route so long as Holmes keeps pricing where it is
Muy buenos tus videos !! Podrias decirme que mejoras tiene llevar llantas de carbono ? Nosotros le ponemos peso para ganar estabilidad y veo que vosotros se lo quitais ,!! Gracias . Saludos
Yeah you might get it to work with the capra they are geared to high 10t pinion maybe under drive the rear diff or portals to achieve over drive in the front wheels instead of the otherwise around.
I got them carbon fiber chassis from hotyoyo on ebay and they were fiberglass and snapped right away...has that happened to anyone else? Or is it super weak carbon fiber? I was refunded right away so no harm done but I want to do a super light build ...any other affordable carbon chassis rails ?!
You broke yours? Man I’ve got these two and they’ve been awesome. Did you get the ones from my links? Those are the very ones I order for my own builds.
@@ExocagedRC I did not use the link, I bought them on ebay a while ago, however after clicking on your link it turns out it's the same ebay seller lol like everything online sometimes its hit or miss...I will try again but on Amazon this time!
Beautiful Build & Drive! Holmes is The Best in the Crawler Rc industry!
Haha yeah they are if you let Joe tell it lol…
lol I like things
Man after driving the course on Memorial day I have a new respect for how easy you make it look, Especially for driving one handed and filming 😅
thanks!

Is the Sherpa different from the Expert/Sport? Or is it basically the same chassis?

Excellent performance Joe.
Wow those motors have gotten so much better since I first saw the outboard design. That build just got so much better!
I'm such a nerd for rc electronics bro this is awesome! 👍👍🤨✌️🤙
You and me both!
I like how quite it is now plus how light weight it is
That sounds much better now!

What a difference!!!
Cliffhanger had me smiling when that tire slipped out
Great crawl, Can't wait to get one of these esc's.
Lol, good call on the BEC, given his statement on it.
I run the same style esc and motor on my 3lb combat robot. They work great
Right on Joe great vid cant wait to pick 1 of these up
It looks like a quad / rcplane esc ive been using for years.
in my channel I explain how to adapt an esc blheli 32 in crawler

I'm going to wait until they become programmable before I get one
I have a homes hobby 35T torque master hand wound and I have beat the hell out of it for a 7 year old motor and still running strong
It's crazy just how small the esc really needs to be to work
Looks like it performs great.

I only have one 2300 and its in a capra. would be a pain to get done
@@ExocagedRC With your experience of using both, how would you say they compare to each other in terms of start up smoothness, torque and punch?
That is a nice and small esc
That's crazy that this little thing handles 4s. What did you use and how much does it weigh now?
Yeah just 3S and the weight is the same as before. About 3lbs 10oz

Had this same combo in my capra and it kept over heating and shutting down
