Honestly is not that terrible for Bowser, at least offline. As a Sonic perspective, Bowser never dies and that’s scary. I would say it’s obviously in Sonic favor’s but really frustrating to play.

People think sonic can just easily kill but that is not the case, sometimes it's really hard for a sonic to get a kill even with spindash because people can sdi down and that will get them out of the move. With spindash not being an option his kill options are mostly back air, fair, and fsmash. As the meta evolves, even you can probably notice that sonic players are reverting to edge guarding rather than doing the basic spindash fair because people know how to get out of it now lmao. Sonic needs to work a lot harder than you think, when your down 2 stocks with him it almost feels impossible to win sometimes. Of course I don't main him anymore, but I have the muscle memory so my sonic is still extremely good.
@@Dc-pm2hi yeah, Sonic can struggle to kill after some percents, and a patient player like Leon abuses this in the mu, reverting the rage in his favor. Also in my opinion Sonic has some issues catching Bowser’s landing. You are going to trade a lot more than you wanted to, and camping Bowser is meh. I am not whining about my main, just saying there are some objective issues in the mu in which Bowser can apply his gameplay effectively.

Not that leon gave wrath much of a chance but the first few frames of sonics down air will still spike bowser out of his up b. Also dropping down from ledge into back air will also beat his up b
How on earth does someone keep their composure as bowser vs a really good sonic. I feel like somehow leon just convinced himself he was gonna win no matter what.
As a Sonic main I can tell you that sometimes you just wanna forget homing attack exists. Sure it's high risk (hopefully high ) reward, but if it misses, it's literally a 'Press B to die' button

Its even worse when you get that animation where sonic hits the floor and has that weird get up animation. I've even had people spot dodge me RIGHT as I was about to it so I'd get that animation and they punished me. I used to play in tournaments all the time and even played against some of the best and know firsthand good players don't let you just get away
I've talked to wrath about his play style. And his philosophy has always been just play normal and evasive. And even if you don't kill them, don't change it up because that will put you at risk. But this set shows that that doesn't always work. You can't let Bowser survive past 200 that many times and still win. It's just too easy for him to randomly kill you at 100
Leon is so good at remaining calm in disadvantage and coming back. Patience and letting Wrath make mistakes, big respect. Wrath played so well though, up until the last few games. He relied too much on side B and most importantly imo he didn't anti air Leon at all. Leon was just jumping constantly at the end and Wrath didn't challenge it once, he also never went out to edge guard. Great match though 👏
Dabuz lost to LeoN, LeoN lost to ESAM, ESAM lost to Dabuz, and all 3 beat Wrath. In term of games won, all 3 won 7 games, but in term of games lost, ESAM lost 4 games, Dabuz 5, and LeoN 6. So because of that ESAM is #1, Dabuz #2, LeoN #3 and Wrath #4
You don’t play sonic so you don’t understand just how amazingly wrath controls spin dash. A lot of things he does is frame perfect or knowing exactly when an activates etc. if you ply sonic it’s amazing to watch if you don’t it’s just boring spin dash 😂

Sonic has got to be the most annoying character to play against. All his moves look the same, so it looks like hes just spamming. Its just repeat sonic ball coming at you from every which way. Couldnt even watch any more than one game because the sound animation was driving me crazy lmao
