OK...I initially tried bicarb (baking soda to you Americans) and while it did help, it didn’t work as well as the baby powder appears to work! Am off to try this!! can’t get blending powder or Turpinoid in Cape Town.
Okay...so....baby powder is "basically" cornstarch with a few other things added to it. So...theoretically cornstarch or maybe even arrowroot should work!
Wowzie how cool. Never would of thought of that wonder if you just poured it over all of it if it would do the job. Guess you wouldn't want it everywhere though who knows maybe so. Thanks something alot cheaper easier to grab. Awesome find. 😃 Thanks dear as always. ❤
I’m wondering if she’s using talc, or white graphite lubricant. I’ve got both ordered and on the way to compare and see..... tho talc is indeed much less expensive than the per gram B&P powder blender, white graphite powder (Hex-Boron Nitride (hBN) Powder) is about the same price as b&p sells her powder blender for. 😀 now to figure out touch up texture fixative diy........an acrylic medium with marble dust is my best guess lol 😊✌️🎨
I start coloring on April. Watching now all ur videos and taking notes. I start with the paperwork adult coring book from amazon. I feel cannot blend my prismacolor pencil enough on those type of paper, why.. do u have any advice, do u mind sending you my first coloring paper with prisma to notice what I am talking about... I would be grateful if you accept helping me. Thanks a lot
@@paulinerizk8532 Hi Pauline, It's all in the FB group. I would need to know if you had a printer and more details. I'll answer you over there because we can get more personal. We talk a lot about paper and I do private videos when my answers are too long to write out. There isn't much advice I can give you on making the cheap paper on Amazon (look at my Cratespace video) look better. I am not a fan and I go into a lot about what you can do. Go to my channel page and hit the video button on top. That will show you all my videos. It's only a few videos back. It's the thumbnail with the girl holding her nose.
No because chalk is used as a medium. It may stain the paper or dull it. The powder just wiped off easily and I was able to put tons of layers over it.
That's a coincedence! Just watched the promotion video of the fancy powder and thought" Looks like babypowder in a fancy canister to earn money". Nice of you to share your experiment. Everybody can save tons of money now :D I got suspicious because they don't list the ingredients of any of their products on their website ( I have severe asthma and allergies and need to check the inci on every product I buy) and that screamed scam in my book.
I’m not sure what this video is, there wasn’t any color left by the time you finished, is this a what not to do, tutorial? Lori, when are you going to start coloring again? I miss the days when you would color beautiful pictures, I miss those days so bad. I don’t recognize your channel anymore. 😞
Lmfao 😂 😂 😂. What about baking soda, or corn starch! I was just thinking last night while I was coloring. I need to get some of the fairy dust like Lori just got because I need to make my pencils last longer, spead out futhher. Well! I see now! What I need to do! I guess I'm not going to ask how much all that stuff cost you. Lol.
Keep in mind that the B&P Powder is archival/acid free - baby powder and corn starch are not.
What kind of paper were you using? I heard this Brush & Pencil stuff needs sanded pastel paper.
Wow Lori. It works just as good and we get more for our money!
I have been wondering if there was anything that could be used as a substitute for that "fairy dust" as well. May try cornstarch. Thanks for this!

Wow! How cool! Any chance you can show a diy of the brush and pencil touch up texture as it’s not easily accessible . Thanks 🙏🏼
I have no idea what the touch up texture would be. I can only say it really works well. I love the spray fixative too.

OMG!! I like the baby powder one even better!!! Thanx soo much!!!! 💜💜💜💜💜💜
This actually works.
Ooh! Can you imagine how nice our work will smell using Johnson & Johnson?

The product works if you have lots of layers. I don't really use it often because of the mess.
Wow! 😮 What a discovery! Must try that.
You have such good ideas, thanks!

Go to my latest video, look in the description and join the facebook group. I can easily see your work and any work you need help on in the future.
Color My World thanks a lot for your reply. Your are really an humble woman. But did not reply my question on blending on the paper work book?

Very cool. What a fun hobby. My mom's an artist, but I've never had the knack.
Oh, wow! I've got baby powder sitting in my bathroom doing absolutely nothing. Gonna give this a try. Thanks for sharing your discovery!
OK so WHAT is powder blender made of???
I guess makeup translucent powder can be work too...
Lovely as always ....
Suddenly Walmart runs out of powder....and it's all your fault. Did you buy stock in it before you shared your discovery? *LOL* Thanks for sharing.
That is hysterical.
I use a deodorant stick to blend with. The white stick that does not stain your shirts. I just use Q-Tip to scrape off as much as I need and apply.
Gotta try that!
Chalk powder?

Apply over top of the colored portion.
Wow, thank you!
OMG that's cool!
Amazing!
that is amazing...

We need to let Johnson & Johnson know their sales are going to explode and it’s all thanks to you! 😘
🤔
We'll shoot, I threw away all my baby powder a couple years ago, for obvious reasons. I'll have to pick up a little travel mini & try this.
