You're giving out so much wrong information, man. 1. EOS M3 does not have dual pixel AF 2. EOS M3 and M6 are mirrorless cameras without EVF, that does not make them rangefinders.... 3. EOS M5 is just a mirrorless with EVF, that does not make it an SLR
So far, loving my M5 for casual stuff for photos and videos. When on a tripod, I don’t flip the screen down, I just relay in DPAF and haven’t been disappointed.
DPAF is now the standard that all other manufactures are shooting for. Hoping for more competition in the AF space to continue to push Canon to make their DPAF better. Thanks Vaughn for adding your thoughts to the comments.
I keep hearing the repeated message from various reviews is that the downside of the M5 is the drop down LCD screen but I'd say that's a plus as the end result in video is the direct, or appearance of direct, line of vision into the camera lens. If you want to mount it on a small handheld tripod to extend your reach there are fixes. The one I came up with is attaching the base of the camera onto a narrow Manfrotto spigot adaptor that then attaches onto the Manfrotto 208 table top tripod which is perfect for a hand grip when vlogging. This leaves more than enough of the screen visible when vlogging. While that's not an issue with the m3 or m6 THEY both have the added need for a workaround in terms of mounting an external mic to the camera since placing it in the hotshoe at the top totally blocks the screen. Again, there's a fix for that issue too but with all three cameras requiring a workaround for viewing the LCD screen I'd say it's a break even in that regard. Then with the perk of direct eye contact in your video plus having the built in EVF makes it a winner for me.
+anita cadonau-huseby thanks for the great comment. I'm sure subscribers will find it very helpful. I personally would have liked an 80 D style articulating back panel but we can't have everything! Thanks again.
This should be named "The real landed M camera review". Great content and very well explained the "things to take in count" between the 3 cameras. Thanks for this.
I had my m3 for a week already loving it. Don't much video; but when I do, I mount it on a gimbal for stablization. The only down side is that Canon Image Gateway is no longer working with the m3.
I shoot with the M3, I've had it for about a year. The only thing I don't like about it is the auto focus is slow when shooting videos. I've learned to shoot with manual. I'm considering getting the M6 because of that.
+Fitness Assassin I personally think you would find it snappier but to be sure, visit your local retailer and give it a try. Thanks for adding to the discussion
thanks man for the vlog,as a beginner, now i feel much more clear to choose what camera is suit for me,i think for travelling not as a vlogger, m5 is the answer
Absolutely and thank you for the positive feedback Ruddy. Please let us know what you thought about the Canon EOS M5 system once you'll had a chance to test it out! Thanks again for the comment!
I have Canon M6 with EF-M 18-150 mm lens kit and EF-M 11-22 mm. There will be dark shadow in right bottom of photo when using internal flash at wide side of both lens. I will consider not to use its internal flash further.
Good review. Only a huge difference between M3 & M6 is the 1080p @ 60fps, where as in the M3 you need to step down to 720p to get 60fps. (on top of all you mentioned). Apart from that, I can't wait to get an M6! Thanks.
+Jake Alexander Bryant thanks Jake for adding to the comments. Please take a moment to come back to this comment thread and let us know your experience with the M6 once it arrives. Thanks in advance and thank you for the support!
I have a M100 and find it very similar to these line ups. If I did upgrade it would be the M6.(but then a month later a newer model will appear) (damn it)
Personally have a m6 and its really really amazing great battery life awesome footage at nighttime...i have a wide angle lens which makes the camera even much better
+Devin Waddell you are the person I just spoke about on the Digital Photography Cafe Show this week. People are starting out with iPhones and moving to "a real camera" because they love the hobby of photography even if they have no interest in going pro. Thanks Devin for you comment.
You can of course write through the blog at jcristina.com I don't current have that camera in my bag but for general question, you can write there or here of course Jimmy!
+Jimmy Robinson I personally don't worry about the hate. Since I don't have a horse in the race I have the luxury of calling it as I see it without worry about stepping on sponsor toes. 👍 Glad you're enjoying the content Jimmy. I appreciate you taking the type to comment.
I am a sports photographer and wish to make another purchase of a camera body. I shoot mostly with a Sigma 120-300 2.8 lens, would the M5 accommodate that lens without having to purchase an adapter to make it fit. Also, is the fact that it is mirrorless make it quieter when I shoot indoors at events? BTW - I think your presentation is very clean. It was very easy to follow you. Nice job, man!
thank you soooo much for this review. ive wasted my time looking for the best comparison of the 3 m series of canon for weeks now and I found this video. This is a good comparison for me to decide w/c one is really good for me to self study basic photography using mirrorless camera.
Thanks very much for such a good review ! So many different cameras in my price range old, used, slr-s m-s , it's a first vid. showing all the differences, and I scanned all you tube fir that 😉 2 years ago and it is still up to date . Greetings from UK !
In Indonesia gap price between Canon EOS M3 vs Canon EOS M6 is more than $500, which is for me is a lot. Because I am food photographer and beauty vlogger, Canon EOS M3 more than enough, I can save another $500 to buy adapter and lenses. Before I was confused, should I get Canon EOS M6 instead M3. After I watch this video review I am clear that I should stay with my Canon EOS M3. Thank you for the Video.
Thank you for the wonderful words of encouragement. I hope the M3 does the job you need it to do.. Please let us all know how you like the unit once you play with it for some time! Thanks again for adding to the conversation!
I just bought my wife M3 because she's just starting to love it as a hobby. your video makes more sense to me on what i have bought (not a fan of this cameras im more into drones and sports camera) now im a bit confused if i should return th em3 and get m6 but then you made it clear on ur video to save the money for upgrading to m6 by just buying new lenses, :D
+Prinsepheii C.L. Thanks Prinsepheii for commenting. I do believe if your wife is just getting into photography for a hobby, the Canon EOS M3 with an extra couple of lenses is a perfect choice. I'm sure she will have a blast. Thanks again for sharing with the community.

Hi,which one you can recommend for video guitar sessions at home in a room. canon 70d,m3,or m6? I just need blurr so i will be used with 50mm 1.8 lens thanks..
Im owning the EOS M3 and happy about it, BUT my only two flaw is that it dont shoot up too 60fps in 1080 for the slowmo and the upside flip screen.. My external mic I sort of ducktaped it to the side of the camera
JCristina I got the M3 is mainly for video shooting so it's enough, practically. I'm using kit ef-m 15-45mm and ef-m 22mm stm. They're both great. The 15-45mm is fast and quiet and the 22mm has deeper DOF. I wouldn't get an EVF btw because it's not necessary for my video shooting :)
Ya. The kit 15-45mm at f3.5-f6.3 is a bit lacking on DOF (creamy backgrounds) but the straight 22mm is absolutely beautiful at only $250 it's a must have. I bet you use that lens allot even though you don't have the zoom capabilities as you would with the 15-45mm. Do you have an videos you've shot with the 22mm f2.0? Please share!
and the m5 would be slightly better for clogging because when the screen is flip down it is almost impossible to notice when you look at yourself, when you look at the top one it is extremelyyyyy noticeable, the m6 and m3 would be better for at home/ set/"studio" videos
Thanks for the video. I found a kit deal for the M3 that included the EF/EF-S lens adaptor and an 18-55mm EF-M lens for a little over $500. But I still want to check out the M6 before I decide. I do want to vlog with it, because the alternative (my existing 60D) is just way too heavy to lug around.
You are very welcome, I'm glad you enjoyed the video. I believe $500 including Canon EOS M3, 18-55 and EF/EF-S adaptor is a really good deal. Personally I think if you will be locking down the camera when vlogging, the M3 is an amazing deal while if you're going to be doing more of a run and gun style I think the M6 or 80D would be a better choice but it would be several hundred dollars more expensive of course. Let us know which way you go. We will all love to hear your experience with either camera.
Thank you man! Great review !!!! Just one quick question : which one would you suggest (M3 vs M6) for shooting a short film, besides the vlogging reasons? If you could answer this question I would be more than grateful! Thank you in advance, George.
I would suggest the M6 as it is the latest and greatest which will give you good results for a short film. If you have a few hundred dollars more I would recommend a REFURB Canon 80D which you can get just under $1000 with a 18-55mm STM lens which would be perfect. Hope that helps.. Fond regards and thank you for supporting the channel!
I did a pretty in depth comparison on the M6 for vlogging. I’m getting the M3 in as well to play with it and I started to see what I was to expect. Thanks for your video!
even no there 1080 on all 3 the only reason i am considering the extra money for the m6 is the frame rate. 60fps is nice.. the dual pixel i could live without but 30fps seems so choppy to my
Nice video!! I'm thinking about buying a new camera. It would be my first camera! I think M3 is much better than M6 cuz I can't feel the difference...I'm a super beginner lol. Anyway thanks for the awesome video.
+Gadget Trish hey Trish. Thanks for the 👍 and question. It my understanding the M3 does not have "time-lapse" built in but there you can do a couple of things. Look into Magic Lantern firmware update. Try the internal creative scene which can give you 20% or attach an accelerometer. Please let us know how it goes for you. Thank again.
Hi, just a question maybe you can help me i´m just trying to buy a new camera like M3 but i have heard that if you use lenses with the adaptor only works in manual mode and the autofocus of the lense doesn´t works that is true?
+Ivan Sandoval The autofocus does work with the Canon adapter. Test one of your lenses out in a local camera store before buying but you should not have an issue Ivan. Thank for the question.
Thanks man! I'm deciding between the m3 and m6 but I'm curious I need something that will do like an SLR quality, and music video type stuff. Also it would be good to have a cam in low light for the club clips for the videos. One last question between the two, which would be better quality when doing slow mo shots? Thank you so much man!
Honestly it’s all about your need. Primes, telephoto macro. Depending on your use. I personally like primes. For me lenses that stay at one fstop through the zoom is also mega important.
Whatever you're doing keep up the good content. felt connected thru the whole video. please make real life comparison videos with the three cameras. I'm sure that would help a lot of people to get a better understanding.
+Yousifian Nation Thanks so much for the positive feedback Yousifian. I love the idea. I may put together a Patreon page to help offset the rental costs of various gear. Thanks for the idea my friend and thank you for taking the time to add to the conversation.
Not too sad. I bought the kit for $299 and just sold it on Amazon for $399. ;) I have quite a few cameras to choose from, depending on the situation and my mood. Severa Canon DSLRs with nearly 20 lenses. G7xII a6500 with several lenses. RX100 V E-P5 with several lenses. TG-4 Instax :)
Sorry but you seem to have little idea about color spaces. 1. While AdobeRGB includes more theoretical colors than sRGB, sRGB has finer steps in between the colors, because both use 8 bits per color (0-255, so 256 or 2^8 steps). Those extra colors available in AdobeRGB will rarely be used in everyday shooting (they are very saturated colors), so often sRGB is the better option. 2. Most applications will recognize AdobeRGB pictures as sRGB, which makes the color space skewed and the picture seem flat. Basically if you don't work with a specialty application that handles these color spaces correctly you should use sRGB. Considering these cameras aren't meant for professionals, nearly all users should stick with sRGB. 3. These color spaces are only being applied for JPEGs. RAWs are captured in 14 bit, so 16384 steps per color. That includes all colors from both sRGB and AdobeRGB. Thus RAWs can be converted into either and selection before taking the shot isn't necessary. I don't want to hate on the video, just want to inform the people. You did a great job of comparing the cameras.
This is why I love the community. Vetting content in a civil way. Thanks Christopher. As for color space, I'm of the opinion that larger gamut color space will be the norm in the not so distant future. Print on a regular bases I completely understand the conversion and all excess colors that are out of the space are turned into (grayish) muddy color the need to be compensated for before final printing. Thanks so much Christopher for taking the time. Really appreciate it!
Good question Susie. For me it’s all about the lens. Glass is the holy grail when it comes to photography. Which system has the lenses that will meet your needs. That’s the system I would go with personally.
JCristina do you have a guide on lenses? I've seen people say that the Canon kit lenses are "trash" and "unusable" but i don't get it because when I check the specs they send fine and "new" to me, so why would a lens be trash? Thank you for replying btw!
Honestly, they are not that bad. Not " L " glass of course. Check out some of my more recent videos as I'm shooting with an 80D with a "trash" kit lens. I think they look pretty good. How about you?
+Mr College Vlogs Sorry. I've never compared the two. But in general, if you're looking to do a VLOG, the quality out of your iPhone 6 is plenty good. Get a means of recording external audio to be synced in post and an APP to control and lockdown focus, kelvin and exposure and you're golden. What you get with a camera is additional flexibility which you can't with a phone. Hope that indirectly helps. Thanks for adding to the discussion.
The m3 has got some autofocus issues... Will the image stabilization interfere with that? If not, then the m5 and the m6 probably have those same problems. That's why I didn't buy the m3. Autofocus is a nightmare....The 700D has that problem too. I'm only basing my opinion on the video tests I've watched on youtube. Can you recomend me a Camera that won't have autofocus issues and it's a bit cheaper than the 80D?
not on M3 unless you have an app or intervalometer remote then you can do timelapse but those will be series of photos that you have to process in third party program.
+Gina G those are camera body prices. I would suggest the M5 for photos and walking around as it has a nice built in EVF. But if you want to use it for vlogging and to see yourself in the articulating screen. I would use in M3. IMHO the M6 is a few hundred dollars over priced currently.
I need vlogging camera and was gonna get m3 but there's no image stabilization so I was glad that m6 came out! but so expensive...does m3 do the job enough for vlogging? thank you for your help :)
If you will be locking down, using a tripod, then the M3. If you will be running around during your vlog, I would have to suggest the M6 even though it is a bit overpriced right now since it's so new.
I got M-6.The issue of image stabilization is confusing. For video M 6 is supposed to have it. M-6 on still does not have it ,but I got it with stills using the EF and EF-S. Is it five axis in body or from the lens? I don't know. I don't know if if this applies to M-3 in EF lens with IS lens. It may do it. I took some low light pics in a store at ISO 400 with 22mm M lens and got very blurry pictures. Probably should push ISO higher. Digic 7 will take a very high ISO. If you want in body stabilization for stills, you may need to go with Panasonic or Olympus, but if you have EF or EFS lenses, you have got it. But you have to get adapter.
lol I just say the video and I hate my M3 lol. I have the M6 too but I want to go to the 7d mark ii or the 80d. I wanted to know which would you prefer for the best video features. I want to do more run and gun work? I appreciate your channel and watch alot of your stuff dont mean to correct you, didnt read other comments until now
No worries. So glad you’re enjoying the channel. I make mistakes more times than I would like but will always appreciate a correction. As for the 7D or 80D. I have both. I personally use the 80D for my vlog if that means anything. I feel it does a better job at tracking and tracking even in lowlight. Just my opinion. 👍
JCristina okay cool I have the nano usm lens 18-135mm I want the 70-300mm thought those were the best lenses foe the money for an apc size sensor. I'm doing more event work like NAMM and CES. Will those lenses make do on the 80d?
Event normally have less light in them so you want as fast of a lens as you can afford. Think about how far you will be from the subject and pick a zoom that includes that focal length. CES for example the event gets very packed and distance is always a factor so I would suggest a wide angle 18mm or less so you can get entire booths and not headshots if you know what I mean. Hope that helps.
Correct.. It does not but as I stated, as a blogger, it's just fine with single point AF tracking or Facial Tracking to make it a lower cost option for those on a budget.
I own canon 6D and eos M3...i totally agree with you. EOS M3 is fine camera but M6 i not good enough to make me upgrade from M3 Especially if is my second camera Anyway...is good review i have to admit. Thank you
I'm so glad you enjoyed the vlog and found my points to ring true as a current owner. I appreciate you taking the time to add to the conversation, Miroslaw!
Great review really enjoyed it thanks , however I was wondering what you thought it might go like for landscape I already hve 5d but I am looking for something smaller to carry around when I am out walking but something better than my cell phone, I like this as I can use my current lens as well. I think the M3 is all I need but I am open to other comments and thoughts , thanks , hve a look at my web site if it helps to see the site of stuff I do www.waynerickard.com
Correct Jeff but, the EOS M3's face recognition works automatically to focus on faces in the frame. As a locked down vlogging tool I think it should do a fine job.
Hello there Photo Tribe! I've been receiving many questions regarding the Canon M Series and which variant would be best for specific applications. So instead of answering this question in the comments I decided to create a VLOG response to hopefully more clearly express the key differences between the three Canon EOS M series mirrorless cameras. Canon EOS M3 EOS M5 and the EOS M6. I certainly hope you enjoy.
I do know a little bit about photography. Basically on this blog I provided commentary on the specification that were available months ago. Please take everything with a grain of salt and do your own research. Thanks Kael for the feedback.
You're giving out so much wrong information, man.
1. EOS M3 does not have dual pixel AF
2. EOS M3 and M6 are mirrorless cameras without EVF, that does not make them rangefinders....

+Hsuan Lee thanks Hsuan. Appreciate you adding to the comments.
Hsuan Lee so which one would you buy just for daily base blogging?
Also… only the M3 shoots 24p.
Finally!! A straight forward, easy to understand, clear comparison for these three cameras. Exactly what I needed to help make my choice! Thank you!!!
Thanks so much for taking the time to add you positive feedback. Really appreciate it.
I love my M3. It's been with me for about two and a half weeks.
All EF-M lenses except the 22mm has image stabilisation built in anyway. Get the M3, it works great for me.
+Aaron Chew I would agree with this premise as the price is simply right for the M3
It is digital IS which can assist in really shaky scenarios when used in conjunction with optical IS.
So far, loving my M5 for casual stuff for photos and videos. When on a tripod, I don’t flip the screen down, I just relay in DPAF and haven’t been disappointed.

I must admit the drop down screen does make it easier for the vlogger to appear sincere as the eye line -of-site isn't given away.
Wear a pair of sun glasses... Problem solved.. LOL! Thanks adding to the comments Bearded!

I do RUclips videos and I just want a camera for my videos but also maybe for pictures. Should I get the m3?
I love my m6 for vlogging and taking pictures I've only used an iPhone 6s and a GoPro hero 1 before my m6 and it's amazing.

there is a way to slowmo 30fps in adobe premiere pro
Thank you! It's helpful! Because I have an M3 and I'm thinking about should I get an M5 or M6.

and the m5 would be slightly better for clogging because when the screen is flip down it is almost impossible to notice when you look at yourself, when you look at the top one it is extremelyyyyy noticeable, the m6 and m3 would be better for at home/ set/"studio" videos
+The diverse hive Thanks for taking the time to add to the discussion!
Will do!
if I not mistaken m6 doesn't have the sensor shift stabilization,it's just software stabilization
I believe you are correct Allah!
Excellent review. Thanks so much, it was very helpful.
I'm very glad you got something out of my commentary. Thanks so much for taking the time to say so!
Thank you very much. It helped me a lot! All the best, George
I did a pretty in depth comparison on the M6 for vlogging. I’m getting the M3 in as well to play with it and I started to see what I was to expect. Thanks for your video!
Fantastic. We would love to hear your report!
even no there 1080 on all 3 the only reason i am considering the extra money for the m6 is the frame rate. 60fps is nice.. the dual pixel i could live without but 30fps seems so choppy to my
+Rick Smead I only shoot 60fps now. I like the smoothness.
Yes, it does shoot 1080 30P, but not 1080 60P.
Nice video!! I'm thinking about buying a new camera. It would be my first camera! I think M3 is much better than M6 cuz I can't feel the difference...I'm a super beginner lol. Anyway thanks for the awesome video.
+yumi sung Thanks you for watching and taking to time to add a comment. Appreciate the positive thoughts Yumi
Sir, for video between eos m6 and sony a6300 which one are better? For vlog travel.. Thanks before for the opinion..
I may like the smaller m6 for run and gun vlogging but if you are going to do studio vlogging work and less travel you may go for the a6300.
Here is a thumbs up for the great advice. Do you know if the M3 does movie time-lapse?
+Gadget Trish hey Trish. Thanks for the 👍 and question. It my understanding the M3 does not have "time-lapse" built in but there you can do a couple of things. Look into Magic Lantern firmware update. Try the internal creative scene which can give you 20% or attach an accelerometer. Please let us know how it goes for you. Thank again.
Simple and best review. Thanks.
+Tarun Kala I ❤U. Thanks so much. Appreciate that!
can you do a video how to take pictures at night T6s camara thanks
+Janette Diaz hey there Janette. What are you trying to capture at night? Stars, objects, people... thanks for the question.
Great review. I may go for M6
Great camera.
Great. Very helpful! Thanks
So glad you found the VLOG helpful Mike. I appreciate you taking the time to comment!
What camera do you use for this video?
I not sure for this one but all current videos are shot with the 80D listed in the description.
Thanks man! I'm deciding between the m3 and m6 but I'm curious I need something that will do like an SLR quality, and music video type stuff. Also it would be good to have a cam in low light for the club clips for the videos. One last question between the two, which would be better quality when doing slow mo shots? Thank you so much man!
Sadly, neither would be great for low light. You may want to check into the Canon EOS R
@@jcristina darn it..... Okay thanks man! Yeah I was eyeballing the m3 because I'm on a budget, upgrading from a cannon point and shoot lol
Completely understand.
I might even go with the m100 or the Nikon J5 :)
There you go.
thank you for making this video!
Thank you for taking to time to comment.
wow amazing >>im looking for vloging cam here u give me the choice of eso M 3 gonna buy it
It will serve you well as a small compact vlogging camera.
thanks u r so great PEACE
What kind of lenses needed /recommended for M6?
You're welcome. Hope you're able to make the video.
I just put up my M3 kit for sale on Amazon. It has less than 1k clicks on it. I just never used it other than for a few photo booths. :/
+Robert LeBlanc Sad. What camera are you shooting now?
Not too sad. I bought the kit for $299 and just sold it on Amazon for $399. ;)
I have quite a few cameras to choose from, depending on the situation and my mood.
Severa Canon DSLRs with nearly 20 lenses.
G7xII
a6500 with several lenses.
RX100 V
E-P5 with several lenses.
TG-4
Instax
:)
Awesome video!!!!!! You helped me to decide.
+Vonda Miles thank you Vonda for the positive feedback. So glad you found the VLOG helpful. 👍
Vonda Miles so which camera did you choose ?
I'm liking to purchase the Canon EOS M3. It has what I need but is small and it's a Canon.
Vonda Miles yeah I end up purchasing the M6
But what's better... Sony a5100 or Canon m3? I saw they're pretty similar
M3
Great Camera!!!
great reviews thank you
You’re so very welcome. Thank you for taking the time to leave the positive f Ed back.
How would you compare the eos m3 video quality to an iPhone 6?
+Mr College Vlogs Sorry. I've never compared the two. But in general, if you're looking to do a VLOG, the quality out of your iPhone 6 is plenty good. Get a means of recording external audio to be synced in post and an APP to control and lockdown focus, kelvin and exposure and you're golden. What you get with a camera is additional flexibility which you can't with a phone. Hope that indirectly helps. Thanks for adding to the discussion.
JCristina thanks for the quick reply!
+Mr College Vlogs so very welcome.
Am i able to use lens from a canon 70D to the M6?
May adapt.
Canon T6i and the G7 X are really good options.
can I use my m3 canon lens to a canon m6??
very good revieuw! thanks a lot! it made my decisioun 100times easier, xo from luxembourg
+Mimi'z world You are so very welcome Mimi. So glad it helped a bit in making your decision. 🖤
So m6 the best?
Of course best is relative to your application but it is a great camera and video camera.
Can the M3 do the timelapse video that the M5 and M6 can?
+Meg Bernardo I believe you will need either Magic Lantern firmware or an external device, Meg.
not on M3 unless you have an app or intervalometer remote then you can do timelapse but those will be series of photos that you have to process in third party program.
you totally forgot DPAF
which is very important for Vlog
Actually IMHO. Dual Pixel AF is the most important feature when vlog off tripod.
Where can I buy the m3?
? Have you checked b&h or amazon.
good video!
+阿綱 TV thank you 阿綱 for the positive feedback!!
M6 rules. I dont need the viewfinder.
Yep. many people are just like you! The M6 is a great camera!
is that price including lenses? I'm gonna walk around with camera..then should I get m6??
+Gina G those are camera body prices. I would suggest the M5 for photos and walking around as it has a nice built in EVF. But if you want to use it for vlogging and to see yourself in the articulating screen. I would use in M3. IMHO the M6 is a few hundred dollars over priced currently.
I need vlogging camera and was gonna get m3 but there's no image stabilization so I was glad that m6 came out! but so expensive...does m3 do the job enough for vlogging? thank you for your help :)
If you will be locking down, using a tripod, then the M3. If you will be running around during your vlog, I would have to suggest the M6 even though it is a bit overpriced right now since it's so new.
buying Canon mirrorless is so pointless when there are so many much better options
+shaolin95 As of today you might be right unless one already has Canon glass they want to adapter to the M series. Thanks Shaolin. 👍
you can't be canon quality
M3 do not have dual pixel
EOS M3 will not shoot 1080 60P video like the M5 and M6.
Thank you
Specification from Canon did said M3 does shoot 1080 video
the canon m3 has is
+Bull FPV 👍
60FPS also for M6
Do love 60FPS!
M3 does not have dual pixel AF
Correct.
lol I just say the video and I hate my M3 lol.
Hope that helps.
the m5 isn't an slr, since its mirrorless it cant be and slr, that's an oxymoron . it would just be called a mirrorless
The diverse hive SLR type Mirrorless is what he said which would be technically correct if we are talking about the design
Canon EOS M3 doesn't have dual pixel AF!!!!!
+Miroslaw Ambrozewicz I don't believe so Miroslaw.
JCristina it's true, M3 doesn't have dual pixel AF
Correct.. It does not but as I stated, as a blogger, it's just fine with single point AF tracking or Facial Tracking to make it a lower cost option for those on a budget.
I own canon 6D and eos M3...i totally agree with you. EOS M3 is fine camera but M6 i not good enough to make me upgrade from M3
Especially if is my second camera
Anyway...is good review i have to admit. Thank you
I'm so glad you enjoyed the vlog and found my points to ring true as a current owner. I appreciate you taking the time to add to the conversation, Miroslaw!
None.
get the canon eos m1. It's only $100 for the body
+untouchable360x 😳
M3 is better in my opinion because you can buy a handheld stabilizer for less then $300
+Oakland Sunshine There you go. Thanks so much for adding to the discussion Oakland.
Thanks for the question Wayne. As you have a 5D already, did you want to stick with FullFrame of move to an APS-C like the M series?
JCristina I was just going to use my current lens along with the adaptor the idea is more for when I go walking
Dual Pixel technology is not on the m3
Correct Jeff but, the EOS M3's face recognition works automatically to focus on faces in the frame. As a locked down vlogging tool I think it should do a fine job.
if you're broke, go for the m3. no brainer stuff.
+Gibert Bermudez how about just a smartphone Gibert. 🙄
Gibert Bermudez M3 prices went up and if you compare the price between the m3 and m6 its just below 200$ difference.
Shane S good option, thanks for adding to the comments Shane.
@@jcristina just got an m3 body for 200$
Hello there Photo Tribe!
You don't seem like you really know what you're talking about, you're just reading off a specs list.
I do know a little bit about photography. Basically on this blog I provided commentary on the specification that were available months ago. Please take everything with a grain of salt and do your own research. Thanks Kael for the feedback.
