The new M6 surely is great! I don't care about video modes (I'd get a dedicated camcorder if I wanted to shoot in 4K). But please, Canon, release a full frame mirrorless camera! There's loads of people who want top notch image quality and low noise levels in a compact format. I have the 80D and I love everything about it, including its lightning fast focusing system. I just wish I had a second camera with me on my trips for landscape photography that has a full frame sensor and is of compact size. In other words: if you bring out an EOS 6D in a mirrorless format, then I'll buy it instantly.
Thanks for making this great vid. I was very curious about getting a small compact camera for taking stills jpegs . So I just ordered gently used M6 body from eBay for $350 and 22mm ef-m lens for about $100. $450 for the whole thing. I think that's a pretty good deal to take some great shots!
I would really like to know what the exposure compensation dial changes in the three values shutter, aperture or iso. Could you let me know about this? Or does it tweak the sensor itself (which I find hard to believe). Thanks!
The first time I used Canon M6 to take part in a Photography competition and I became the champion. So cheap and expensive, the price of the camera has no effect because the most important is the skill.
"Hi, I just got a M6. I can connect it to a Mac and download the images using Canon EOS Utility. However, I can't find the remote shooting function in the new EOS Utility 3. There seems to be no way to control the camera from a PC via USB. I also tried the EOS utility 2, which looks more like the old EOS utility, but it wouldn't even recognize the M6. If this is the case, it's a step backward considering that a old EOS 7D can be operated remotely. Any ideas? I am still hoping that I may be doing something wrong.
Hi Tom! While it is possible to shoot remotely with the EOS M6 using the mobile app Canon Camera Connect, remote shooting will not be possible with EOS Utility. We hope this information helps clarify things!
I have Canon M6 with EF-M 18-150 mm lens kit and EF-M 11-22 mm. There will be dark shadow in right bottom of photo when using internal flash at wide side of both lens. I will consider not to use its internal flash further.
Hi Alan! It is likely caused by the low angle of the flash and longer length of the lens. One way to reduce or eliminate this is to zoom in more with the lens or attach an external Speedlite flash to the camera's hotshoe. We hope this helps!
plastic man. he can be found in the toys aisle next to plastic Ken. Canon - please use humans, not android salesmen that behave unnaturally immaculate.
Hi Sarosh! There is actually a separate viewfinder that can be attached. It is the Electronic Viewfinder EVF-DC2 and it comes in either black or silver. Check it out! Canon.us/3d8b

I can’t use the live remote shooting as well on the Camera Connect apps with the M6. Any workaround for that?

why is there a 30 min limit on recording video?? is there a similar option with eternal video?
Why are there STARS in the image at 4:18 ? Is it because of the lens, or is it a filter ?
Hello DeeJay! This is a natural lens flare coming from the street lights and spotlights!
Thanks for the answer... So this "natural lens flare" will be present in every photo that has light spots ?
This does not mean that it will be present in all of them for certain, but it has the potential to be.
So these stars will be present in EVERY photo I take of any light source ?
Hey, can you turn-off the LCD while shooting pictures?
Why would u need that for?
How long maximum this camera recording video?
Hi there! The maximum recording time for a single clip is 29 minutes 59 seconds. We hope this helps!
this is amazing
Camera takes great pics. But all the controls require IT person to navigate.
no viewfinder .....
