Worked for me on my 2004 Suburban. I had already tried cleaning the yellow plugs connectors under the wheel near the steaming components. I didn’t realize there was one behind the kick plate. Thanks for the video!! 🎉🎉🎉
what are you using to find all these diagrams? are you able to pull 99-02 gm auxiliary power outlet & cigarette lighter routing diagram, 99-02 & 03-06 steering wheel controls diagrams? i have no power to the aux outlet trying to figure out whats going on and looking to install 03-06 gm steering wheel controls in a 99
I use Identifix for service information. They are a subscription service and it costs around $200.00 cdn per month. There is a similar competitive service available for DIY that's available on a monthly sub per vehicle. Alldatadiy.com give them a try. Many of the libraries offer access to these services as well. I don't think you will be able to install the 03-06 steering wheel controls in a 99 since they use different BCMs and that's where the SWC is wired plus it integrates with the factory stereo which is also different.
@@PhillipBailey thanks appreciate it. i plan on running a aftermarket stereo and those require a PAC SWI so i figured i can just connect the wires directly throught that bypassing the bcm
Quick question I got the code B00 26 When I turn the steering wheel at a certain position, the airbag light goes away, but when I turn it back to normal, the airbag light comes on and the service airbag message comes on. Do you think the clock spring is busted? I recently replaced the steering wheel about two months ago, and I just started to have this problem.
@buddyrebel_Garcia if it consistently sets turning the steering then you are likely correct that the clockspring is cracked. Check that connector though too. 6:00 in video
@@PhillipBailey thank you so much for responding. Yes, I already checked the panel and those wires are super clean. So definitely has to be the clock spring since I checked every everywhere I checked under the passenger seat for those connectors. I tested the crash sensors in the front with the multimeter and they work. And the last thing was spring which is likely since I turned the wheel and the airbag light comes off and then when I turn it back straight, the airbag light turns on so every time I turn the car, the airbag sensor light goes off and then when I go straight, so it definitely has to be the clock spring. I already bought the clock spring at AutoZone for 280 bucks ouch! I could’ve gone to the junkyard, but I do not want to risk it doing this job again.
In my opinion what I did was safe. Disconnecting that connector actually shorts the deployment loop side. If you were to jump power to the two pins the air bag would blow. I'm not handling the actual air bag. But this is just my opinion.
Nice video. Dealing with this today. Just save me plenty of time. Drivers loop open d0026. Not sure if thats the connection by the e-brake or undsr the seat. Im just gonna clean them both and cross my fingers. Appreciate this video

Great video Phillip! I need to get me some of those terminal files!

@buddyrebel_Garcia if you have the code B0026 you're probably correct
Is it safe to be messing with the airbag circuit with thr batteries still connected?

How did that work out?
Having the same issue with mine I’ll try cleaning the terminals and see what happens.
540,000 miles? Is that for real? Holy crap, if only my Silverado lasts that long.... I'm at 160,000 and am already having a bunch of issues.
That's actually kilometers, I'm in Canada eh .., around 340000miles
