    Does Hawley retainer work ??
    I have problems of diastema and over bite , my doctor has recommended it

      YES! But remember that retainers just RETAIN teeth that are already perfect. I personally have one and I love it but there are lots of different retainers. Please join our FB group and we can tell you more. facebook.com/groups/452613991914248

    Hello Maam. I had not wore my retainers for almost 15days and feel that the teeth over right side have been slightly moved. Can wearing retainers help the teeth to come back to its original location? Also, that my retainers fit properly. I have the temporary Hawley one. thank you

      Hawley's might help a little but if you had the clear one it would help more. I'd go and see your doctor.

    Mam i have gaps in my upper and lower front teeths, so can i wear retainers directly instead of braces?

      It depends on your bite and the placement and size of the spaces. I can't answer that. You'll need to find an orthodontist to examine you.

    Hi Doctor, I got my retainer a week after I took off my braces. During a week I am waiting for my retainer, I have developed gap in between my teeth (around 4 gap), all the gap has closed except the small gap in between the teeth where I have gotten my extraction, been using retainer 24/7 and the gap still do not close, I feel anxious about it, does the gap will never close?

    • @Straightsmilesolutions
      @Straightsmilesolutions  2 года назад

      Well unless you no-showed your appointment, this issue is on your doc and if it doesn't close they need to fix it and be a bit more punctual in how they deliver retainers!! I've never heard of something like that you have a right to be upset!

    • @Straightsmilesolutions

      It's certainly worth a shot!! Usually you have to wear it a few weeks to ensure it stays closed and the bone remodels. If you have any questions you should contact your dentist or orthodontist

      Do you need your frenum clipped? I'd go and get a 2nd opinion. If not that then you might need some IPR to tuck back your lower teeth more.

Would it be possible to remove all the gap or it will stop moving my teeth as it touches the lower teeth?? Need your help

    • @Straightsmilesolutions
      @Straightsmilesolutions  3 года назад

      If the back of the top teeth are touching the front of the lower teeth, most likely more gap closure won't be possible without braces or aligners but your doctor will need to check clinically. Good question.

    I have not worn my retainer for years and have a 1-1.3mm gap between my front two teeth. Is it possible to close my gap with a retainer? I was quoted at ~2 years of Invisalign, and as much as I want to close my gap, I'm not going to be in aligners for two years.

    • @Straightsmilesolutions
      @Straightsmilesolutions  2 года назад

      that depends on whether or not you have overjet/ clearance. Any orthodontist should be able to examine you and let you know. Usually this consult is free
