Yes, I agree, but also the students should be better. People tend to burn all on the teachers shoulders but it is up to each individual to be a better person wether or no we have a teacher like him.
Being one of his current students, I can tell you that this man has influenced my life in more ways than one. He is a role model for future generations and his giving heart knows no bounds. I love him and am glad he has this chance to impact the world.
It was by chance in looking for a physics video for my students that I saw this video. Wow! As a physics instructor in an inner city college, I have seen my share of adversity in my students and in my personal life. Mr. Wright, nothing compares to your situation, your strength and your insight. You are an example of a true teacher that not only nurtures the mind, but also the spirit. I admire you and hope that the good Lord blesses you, your family and your students.
He is an amazing teacher and father. I wish I could have taken him in high school.

Mr. Wright, I wish the world had more men like you. All it takes is someone who loves what they do, to inspire others...and you have inspired me. I wish you all the best and hope for your son, he continues to develop his ASL and communicate with you and the world what its like for him in his world...that to me is the best way to understand a disease like his. I hope you continue to teach with the same amazing approach you use. You can really see how much affect you have, when the students around you, show you how much you mean to them like this video. I am so happy I stumbled across it...it made my day.

I just rediscovered this video 8 years after seeing it for the first time. I had forgotten about it. But I don’t think I will anymore. I’m in teacher’s training myself now and while I’m not Jeffrey Wright, I’m going to look up to him and people like him to see my profession not only as a job, but a calling.

Life brings on tests...some tests are relatively easy..others are not. We chose to act and sometimes we are right..other times wrong but whichever way you go we learn to keep going..this teacher has a real battle ahead..but he is going the right away around it. Good on you teach...and dad.

My favorite part is at 1:55 when a student asks, "Do you love us?" and his immediate reply is, "More than you know"

This amazing man has a very special gift......enhanced by his special son. If we could all focus on connecting and bringing out the best in others, even if it means adapting ourselves, love and learning would be the greatest wealth we would ever possess.

He taught me Physics in 1994 at Trinity High School and was exactly the same back then. He was the BEST teacher I ever had!

Our son sent this to us,My wife works with special needs adults. As I watched the video and listened, tears filled my eyes! I bowed my head and thanked God for my wife and the love devoted to her profession.It takes a special person to be a teacher and even more special to do what she does.God has a purpose and and a plan for everyone and he wanted my wife to do this. Very demanding physically and mentally and she gives her all! Great inspiration right here.May God continue to bless us all!
I cried so much when I watched this. It really shows that there is always someone that has it worst then you and you should be happy for what you have. I wish I could thank this man for being such a blessing to this earth.

It is almost impossible for me to comprehend how much of a fantastic man he is. Not only does he love and take care of his family, but he does it with a great happiness. Not only does he do a great job of teaching his classes, but he helps them with all of their problems, no matter what they are. If only there were more people like him, he has earned every last bit of my respect.

that's when I knew it didn't care how things work anymore, it's the reason why things work and it's because of love. So there is something a lot greater then energy, something a lot greater then entropy. It's the fact that, what's the greatest thing...love. That's what makes it all the why we exist.

It's a shame that we don't have many teachers like this, he is a great example of what school should be. We shouldn't have to know what the 4 properties to a mineral are or what a prime number is. We should really start to know great life lessons.

God is very real. It is mankind that makes the choice as to whether or not we choose to believe in Him. The God that I serve is a God of Love and He does not force mankind to Love Him. He lets us choose from the heart! If you choose to not believe then that is your choice. Eternity matters too much to me and I choose to believe Him because He has shown His Love to me through all of my life and has saved me from myself many times!

I can't begin to explain how inspiring it is to see a unique individual like Jeffrey wright impart his on wisdom in a way that inspires others.I could praise so much about this video but I think the tears shed shows enough how moved I am by this video ! What an amazing teacher and father! He does a great job connecting with his students and for his students to be able to open up to him the way they do is so amazing. Him opening up to his students about his life and his son is a huge thing. For him to tell his hardships and he understands makes us easier for students to feel comfortable to tell about their hardships.
This made me feel happy.
As a future teacher, I will lead by his example.

So sorry his little boy has a disability but God's word in James 1:13 tells us God NEVER causes the trials we face or the suffering that follows. To do so would be wicked, but "God does not act wickedly." Job 34:12.

I can be a very cynical person in life but this right here makes me really believe that this crazy world we live on, can bring out some of the most amazing people. I don't know this teacher personally but I now have is name burned into my brain for ever and this video on a CD to show my kids if I am blessed to have them. Thanks for being yourself :')

He's a great teacher cause he's human, he treats everybody with kindness. He does teach students. He teaches in a way the students can have fun and actually learn. He's inspires students to grow up and realize that life is not perfect. Everything happens for a reason and you have to learn that there a reason behind everything. Be kind, for everyone you meet is fighting a hard battle.
