Dude is a Norwood -3 now lol
Sounds like he should have started with the medical therapy before doing the transplant. Also it's "Istanbul" not "Instanbul" and this is the city, Turkey is the country.
I thought they made a typo or joke, but they also say Instanbul… how can they not even know the name of the city AND CALL TURKEY THE CITY😭
Just came to comment on that. It's ok if you don't know, but if you spent so much time doing this, made a video about it and highlight the country and the city at least get those simple things right
Haha i noticed that too. Could have easily googled that
Well that proves how stupid people are, especially in the USA. These oh-so-many vids on RUclips don't lie.
And check his nutrition too. A lot of people think calories, or food quantity equals 'good' nutrition.
I think it’s unfortunate this gentleman even thought he needed a hair transplant. Sad
it was his brother's transplant. it was a click bait title
@@whateverman2674 The brother didn't need it either lol
He was FAR from needing a transplant.. I would be happy with half of the hair the guy already has
He was a norwood 2. You don't wanna wait till your a norwood 3 or 4 when it's crazy bad. Norwood 2's usually the perfect time to do it except the guy went way overboard. Number 1 he should of went higher with the more mature hair line and number 2 should of used way less graphs.
@@emello4you Norwood 2 is absolutely not the perfect time to get a transplant, you do know the transplant does nothing to prevent further hair loss so 'Earlier the better' doesn't apply here ? Most elite doctors would not touch this guy and would tell him to get on medication to keep what he has.
My sons friend, really went there for the transplant because of the cost a lot lot cheaper. Well, he does look much much younger and very happy from the result.
@SarahD-uy5pf There is no such thing, why did you make this up?
@@OnurUgur65What?
@SarahD-uy5pf Super wrong, you're woefully underinformed.
3:25 so true
I do brow treatments and really dislike those strict microblading measurements.... that's why they always look so artificial. Yeah, the clients usually want more symmetrical brows but you can do "more even brows" without literally a mirror effect.
And I try to explain to them , if you look at your hairline you can see the hair flow and direction which also impacts the direction of brow hairs making one lower and one higher, one rounder- one straight. It's usually the same as the hairline, if you have a higer left side, your left brow is also higher (and i think it should stay that way)
Yeah they want to do their perfect brow when they should be doing YOUR brows as no one has exactly the same stick on shape.
idk about that but every time i see a woman with painted on eyebrows i dont want anything to do with her. Or eyebrows plucked so much its a thin line or as you said, way too symmetrical while the face isn't. Makes it look goofy ahh
This is why I'm starting medical therapy for my eyebrows, with Bimatoprost, before doing anything that requires another person's skill to accomplish, on my face.
I have very sparse brows with an ugly natural shape, so it took me years to understand exactly the most natural, harmonious and realistic\believable form to do them with make up and I'm a professional artist.
I know a good microbladed brow will look perfect on me and save me from wasting time with make up, but I've seen the results and those rigid shapes will never look good on me, plus I don't trust anyone to do something semi-permanent on my face, unless they also are skilled in the artistic field(so they can understand the importance of having imperfect shapes) or even let me draw my own shape. Which excludes 100% of the studios near me or in my city lol
Interesting 😮
That would explain my uneven brows lol, I have a cow lick on the front left hand side of my hair and then the eyebrow on that side is slightly higher and a bit more of an arch then the other haha
I think he means Istanbul. My brother in law went there and got a hair transplant. It looks amazing still after 3 years.

My partner did a hair transplant in Istanbul and thr result is great! He said better than the one he did years ago in Paris
agree. Actually im not trying to knock dr gary as i do respect him a lot but turkey may be the best in the world in cosmetic surgeries-not just the price. The one thing that I appreciate Dr. Gary saying is how its not about country but surgeon. I got jaw surgery by a canadian doctor and was botched. It doesnt matter where imo. It's more important who does it.
@@loverofhumanity tbh I know several girls that got botched on Turkey. Obviously there are great doctors there, but also many that are not good. I personally would not get any surgery there tbh. But for hair transplants Turkey is definitely a good choice.
Kudos on the mustache, doc!
First: It's Istanbul, not Instanbul. :) I've been travelling there 25 times for holiday for now. After getting a blepharoplasty in 2019 there, I decided to get a hairtransplant last year in February. I'm 51 years now and I'm very happy with the results so far. The doctor I've carefully selected was amazing. He even build in a little widows peak after I asked.

1:49 what's wrong with either of the brother's hair? I don't understand people anymore 😂😂😂..
I‘m from Germany and a lot of people here go to Turkey for plastic surgery. Unfortunately, most results aren’t great. The hair transplants usually have a way too crisp hairline and the noses always look like a ski slope and are too small. I’m sure there are great surgeons in Turkey but they are probably just as expensive as the ones in Germany.
Unfortunately, it is not same like 10 years ago. I am Turkish. The clinics increased and not all of them good. It turned into a tourism. I am sure lot of foreigners are falling into a advertisement traps. I was there last summer for searching for rhinoplasty and got ridiculous prices from good doctors. The ones are doing it like a tourism were cheap. And I could not trust.
Man muss halt die richtigen Kontaktpersonen kennen, wie zum Beispiel mich.
Are you looking for an agriculture center? Fine work and very good price
I would say always do your research into the practice where you are going to have surgery no matter the procedure. In the UK their have been loads of stories from people coming back from Turkey, Brazil where they have returned with problems after surgery & unfortunately some have even died!
Hahaha you funny comedian

The STORIES only come from the UK... Guess why?
This Hair Transplant took place at Vera Clinic in Istanbul, Turkey. They don't have Doctors doing the procedure, but only briefly observing. Everything is done by there Technicians with doggy results. Don't be fooled by their fancy facility, that doesn't mean they are the best of the best. It's smarter to go with a reputable doctor who is licensed & compliant with all regulations & most importantly be a part of the actual procedure
The classic example of a low, straight-across procedure not aging well is Sylvester Stallone
"we explored Turkey, which is a beautiful city" oof
I find the cost outrageous. I live in South Korea and got a 4,100 graft FUT transplant in Gangnam in Seoul. Total cost $2,700 USD. And the results are fantastic. Koreans will not half ass anything. They put their heart and soul into every thing they do.
sounds very good, I had a 4500 graft (FUT + FUE) procedure done few weeks ago for approx $2250 in India by a top surgeon having a fantastic track record.

Always satisfied and very much edified by the way you articulate these videos 🙏🏽
Doctor Gary I don’t even need this but didn’t even know you was chill like that bro 👍🏽
Hair transplantation in Turkey is now simply wrong and dangerous! I live in Turkey! Nowadays, in many clinics, transplantation is performed not by doctors, but by medical brothers (nurses), who have “seen enough” and teach from the doctors. But themselves do not have the right to do this procedure! A lot of nurses like this quit from clinics and opened their own!! So they do a wrond way! My friend works in a popular clinic for such operations and she says that there are a lot of complaints and side effects now that doctors are silent about! My husband had such an operation 4 years ago, inflammation began, his head was simply rotting, and the doctors only advised him to take various antibiotics and nothing helped! As a result, my husband now has huge scars on his head and in these places hair no longer grows at all, just empty holes! but because of the antibiotics there was a side effect, and he had to do a second surgery on the stomach!
Thanks Dr Gary for your very honest opinions and professional information about the procedure, love your video
Turkey isn't a city. Istanbul is.
That original video is dripping with dumbness! From calling Istanbul "Instabull", writing "Instanbull" to saying they explored "Turkey, which is a beautiful city". Shows how much actual knowledge and care went into their video. I'm sure the got a nice ad deal of a few grand, though.
I just moved to Marbella, Spain and I"ll get mine done (FUE) in 3 weeks. It's also 4000 folicles which will cost me $4,500 USD, plus the costs for medication.
Not bad at all.

Now the hardest part is to actually find a reliable doctor in Turkey, because I have been reading a lot of negative comments from some of them.
You just need a reliable source like me.

It definately is an ad, because the Zuniga bros have lots of money, they don't need to go to Turkey to save some bucks,
@@azerovcI concur.

He didn't even look like he needed a hair transplant. Also, it's important to realize that asymmetry in the face is normal and perfect symmetry is abnormal. I tell my makeup clients...."your eyebrows are sisters (or brothers) but they are not twins"
I pass on all this trouble and accept my dealt hand in the card game of life!
Were they offered this free in return for filming and promoting? Seems strange to me that he went straight for a hair transplant before trying any medications or topical treatments his hair loss was fairly mild. Wouldnt it make more sense to try treatments before doing a surgery that could have been a better solution further down the line?
He says in the video how much it cost his brother, $6,000+. Dr. L explains that the medicinal treatments help to fortify the existing hair, they don't actually grow hair. Once a large or noticeable area has been lost, it is likely that only a transplant will work to regrow hair in the area.
@@susancunningham4661nah 1) he's hyping up the procedure too much, 2) that may have been the initial cost but doesn't mean they didn't receive any compensation once the vid dropped, and 3) the original video actually says the clinic sponsored the video

Transplants from Turkey seem to counter all of the rules of reasonable transplantation. Emphasis seems to be placed on lowered, high-density hairlines, with exaggerated temple reconstruction. The net byproduct is that future work might be compromised due to overharvesting, and 10 years down the line, the patient may have a 'Drake' style hairline with diffused thinning behind it. I will stick with Hasson & Wong in Canada, they have been great to me and I will be visiting them again shortly.

This angers me that a doctor would do a 4000 graph hairline like that on the subject of this video. I have seen a lot of these Turkey transplants and a lot of them are straight across like that with no gradation in the front. This man went for a 15 year old hairline and looks odd. A normal hairline at his age does not look like that. The front should look jagged meaning not straight think of what a gear sprocket looks like it is jagged in appearance with single graphs used. What will this guy look like at 50 and 60? He could loose most of the hair on top and then he will have a freaking front hair line that looks too low. This is what I have noticed with most of these Turkey hairlines.
4000 grafs for only that😮😳
i am in suspicion that the doctor told it's 4k when actually it isnt.
Redbull gives you wings. Instabull gives you hair
I had 2 hair transplants in Canada and the surgery was done by nurses. The doctor was there to administer anesthesia. My transplants were both successful. I had mine done during Covid so i got a really good price. My first transplant was 3400 grafts and my send was 2700. I paid ~13,000 USD total.
You mind saying the actual place you went to?
You should review José Bordalás, a famous football manager here in Spain. He aged backwards or something. He is now 60 but looks around 40 but when he was 40 he looked on the higher end of 50s. I would love seeing that analysis, I have always wondered how.

1. Nothing wrong with having juvenile hairline at old age. People that naturally have juvenile hairline at their 60s look just fine and younger. The problem with these hair transpants is that they really suck at making a good juvenile hairline, where's the temporal hairs? Why is the hairline completely straight? Not even kids have such perfectly straight hairlines.
2. But let's be realistic. There is not enough donor hairs and you're better off saving them for a high/ temporally receeding style hairline in future. Having decent frontal lock and crown coverage instead of obsessing over te temporal points would be much better strategy in the long run. Also many people let their hair fall on their forehead/ face instead of using hair products to do a slick back. In such cases, why bother having very low hairlines, it's not gonna be visible anyway and a higher hairline would be much more practical in that case.
Completely crazy to me to leave the US to get any type of procedure. Best physicians are here.
The best prices are elsewhere
Hi there I live in Turkiye. Some of my friends has gone through this procedure. Surgents do not perform hair transplantation. Trained stuff (mostly not a MD) do. Surgent only does the planning.
Exactly what he says. It really doesn’t matter where you go to get your surgery just pick a surgeon that has a very good strategy over time. Not just the initial. You want someone who will care about 6 or 7 or 10 years down the line.

Doctor, I'm 18 years old , I've been suffering from hair loss since I was 16 , now it is getting worse, I had some chronic stress 😞, which is also contributed to hair loss,
Please help , 🙏🏻 what I do..........
1. Try to get on meds to preserve as much of your natural hair as possible. Typical combo is Minoxidil and Finasteride - one increases growth and the other blocks DHT. Do your research about it.
2. Explore some alternative things like micro-needling etc. You can find videos about it here by dr. Gary.
3. Eat healthy, exercise and sleep properly. Don’t worry about hair loss - it is a natural thing for men - no reason to stress about it.
4. Don’t do a Hair Transplant before you’re 25 or even (better) 30. By that time hair loss usually stabilizes - and your doctor will be able to make a better decision about hairline design etc.
5. You’re very young, so once again: don’t rush into a hair transplant. Who knows maybe in 5 or 10 years hair cloning will be available… and current methods will be obsolete.
Good luck kid!
