Great and honest review as always, thanks Fred. That charging port is JANK - looks like what super cheap escooters use. Seems if they had sprung for nicer trucks and a better charging interface this would be a 10/10. Also, excellent commentary regarding their poor logistics which I agree with. Made me cancel my order on an Endeavor. You should be a eskate company consultant.
Propel must have a small US warehouse space somewhere. My friend got his Endeavor S 5 days after purchase in early December. I think Ownboard has a good idea with their website, showing what’s actually in stock in the US warehouse prior to even adding it to your cart for check out.
Dude thanks for the honest review. I was torn between the Acedeck Nomad and this. I ended up going with the Nomad Gear version simply because I didn't want to wait months for shipping. The trucks and controller also seem mediocre compared to the rest of the board. But...even with this, I still want one to add to my collection. For the price I feel it's still a good value, but I would be happy to spend a few hundred dollars more for CNC trucks, better 2 in 1 setup, and a better remote.
Dude I'm in the exact same spot! I'm torn between the nomad1 and the pivot gt. The nomads tkp trucks just look so much better and I'm told tkp is much more stable vs dkp. Since I'm only like a year and a half in that's a big concern for me. That said the pivot gt has a beautiful look and seems like it might be more comfy for just casual use with amazing range! How are you still feeling about your decision to go with the Nomad1?
Fantastic review homie! Can’t wait for mine to come in! Like you said, I’m a little worried about the front lights rubbing with street wheels. I purchased the lights and will keep an eye on it. Thanks for the in depth review.
Same, I just ordered the Pivot GT 2 in 1 for only $1,250 with shipping, considering it can go nearly as fast and far as my atlas pro and it was $500 off I couldn’t resist.
@@itzlethal1700 I absolutely love this board. The vibration dampening is truly amazing, the range and speed are no joke either! The reason I chose the pivot is for their customer service and after sale support. They’re super responsive and they’ve answered any and all questions I have. Their website messed up when I ordered and I let them know about the error and they upgraded my remote choice free of charge. I honestly can’t recommend propel enough
Hey so I’m new to the esk8 community and I’m looking to purchase a board and I’m stuck between the pivot GT and the Tynee Explorer…I want to carve well and be able to do some medium off-road adventures with the most range I could get. What do yall recommend??
Great Vid!!! Very informative! Thank you for mentioning the deck with regards to comfort and vibration reduction. I was curious about that since I ride 'thane exclusively and I'm always on the hunt for ways/products that reduce foot fatigue. Again great Vid, I appreciate your knowledge and honest opinions.
Very nice review I do have the original ESC and and because this is only my second ESK8, I did not notice that power gap you keep talking about to me the first ESC has been amazing. I agree with the location of the plug or recharging within 2 to 3 weeks of me getting my pivot the plug actually fell off and it was just dangling by the wires but I really don’t know where else they could put the plug. I believe you’re 100% correct about modifying that plug. I might do that since I accidentally arched the pins while I was measuring the battery with my voltmeter little did I know that charging pole goes directly to the BMS and yes, Jay Russ, Thetonia does answer posts unbelievably fast. He will also go the extra mile to get you parts as soon as possible. He is also a very patient feller with people who do not know how to use phones like myself my first order from him. He was more patient than my parents were with me ever in my life.
Amazing review as always! Like the other's, I love your honest, unbiased approach to it, thank you! Not always easy to make an informed buying decision with others being influenced by the board making companies May I ask you please: Out of the following three for street use with a PU wheel, which one would you recommend? propel pivot GT, backfire zealot X or acedeck nomad? Thank you very much! Your honest reviews are much appreciated! 🙏
great value! still went with another Verreal RS pro which is now my 4rth one ive purchased. for only 850$ with new v2 mads and bashguard, extra set of stock orange wheels(free due to not having mads in stock). and the extra 50 bucks i spent on riptide bushings , zealots, n some fresh grip and carbon vynl wrap. for 920$ i def feel like i got killer deal but also hate the fact that if i could of just spend a little more over 1k i could of got a nicer board with newer features and better specs. If i get 1100 bucks next time i think id really consider the pivot GT
Dude. Your love of the Pivot Gt shines. ;) Just wondering if you had the external/overall size of the entire board as not sure if the website is specs for deck only. Have an Ares X1 4wd so wanting a step down
Great looking board. US warehouse and support is a must when you spend that kind of money on a board. Any idea when they will get a remote that does not look like a cheap Amazon budget remote?
Questions: When installing my AT wheels. the back feels like having a lot more resistance when rolling my board if its turned off. Is this normal? When I am low on battery the controller starts to vibrate a few times every X seconds. when on 1/5 bars. Is it okay to drive slowly when this happens. how much range is left. 20%? When using my Street wheels. I've got a rattling sound in the rear wheels. It seem to be the spacers inside the rear wheel. Do you have this issue as well?
do you prefer a cf deck or bamboo deck for carving. What sort of benefits does the cf have over the bamboo if it's more rigid and not as comfortable? And now you got me pondering another board..😮💨
i love BOTH. i get in different moods bamboo has great snap back during a carve. more comfortable when riden on bad roads.. BUT I get in the mood for that stiff feel sometimes. the resistance under my feet with no absorption when carving instead resistance feels good. it also is lighter n thinner. i highly suggest having two 2 in1 boards in ur arsenal. one flex bamboo n one carbon fiber. i ride my bamboo gtr series 2 probably the most
@esk8unity it's twice the price of the pivot 💀 I still have my balrog so that's still fun. I gotta demo a carbon board sometime to know what it feels like..
@@recca7 lol no its not. its $1150 usd. it also has wayyy more features. not everything is about specs and price. that deck, polish, smooth esc with power delivery, its app, its remote, its internal diagnostic program, its customer service, and even its range and power is great for that level of board. it was originally made in 2016 and released in 2019. then updated a year and a half ago. not meant to compete power/range wise with some others. but its worth every penny for sure .
Propel makes a great board. Have pro 2 with over 1k and no issues. I agree that the pivot should have better trucks. They have the same one as my bound motor d1 from 2020. Nothing wrong with them but rest of board is nice then the trucks are meh 🤷♂️
Did you paint the wheels? I'm thinking of buying this because after 2.5 months meepo didn't send my bamboo ninja hurricane board. Never buy a meepo guys!!!
ya i dont recommend meepo anymore. extremely bad business. Leaving customers in the dust that need help with service and fulfilling orders. they owe a LOT of money to other people/businesses. The pivot GT, Evolve hadean, b-one titan x, bamboo titan, herculeas, Gtr (series 2), zeus pro , and tynee explorer i highly recommend as a solid 2 in1 board. the hubs are spray painted china base hubs from Tynee . all those boards are on the channel except the herculeas. please use our discount code and DM us on instagram with any questions
@@itzlethal1700 yes because this deck is a little wider with a more concave. the explorer is pretty flat. The GT also has more performance and range. our discount code works for both! u cant make a bad decision, i promise u that
@@esk8unity awesome thank you for the response, only thing holding me back was the fact that the GT didn’t appear to be easy to work on if I needed to replace the battery I don’t wanna be out a whole board, also the tiny Explorer can be purchased with the same exact battery as the GT. Do you think that would be a determining factor?
@@itzlethal1700 good question. i never tried the updated battery option. if they get the same range, i still am gonna assume the pivot will have better performance. but if u like flex deck and flatter deck better, go for the explorer. u will get it faster too. lol what? how? wowgo at2 + is superrr outdated. less battery, less performance, less range, less quality cells, pretty flat deck, mediocre china based customer service, smaller motors, smaller data screen on the remote, less amps from the esc. its a LITTLE cheaper, sure. but saving money isnt always the best decision in buying a new board
Awesome video, can u please do a video on how to install shred lights on Tynee Explorer You should do a shred light series for each board. It’s probably one of the most bought item. Also how to change Tkp to dkp trucks & vise versa, will help a lot of people with recurring views & watch time

For real at least I know they won’t ever get any in stock so I will stop looking every day 😂
They seem to have one, they just don't do a good job of keeping it stocked so its a gamble how long your order will take.
Finally! Another review video on the Propel Pivot GT!
