I love that you’re making a review highlighting the feel of THANE!! I recently became a fan of ATs after buying the Novas But I’m old-school and I love writing street wheels I just think it makes you a more fluid rider great job man
Great review! I own this board as well and agree with everything you covered. Definitely no regrets. I did have to add glue one screw that quickly began to rattle behind a headlight, and there is a slight battery drain issue with the headlights that has not been resolved. I’m also anticipating the sunmate tires needing to be replaced after only 300-400 miles of use. The contact patch is very narrow when inflated to 50psi. I think the 6 inch HOTA tires from Ali express will be a better replacement. I also wish the remote battery indicator was a little more accurate than just 4 bars -that’s like the same technology as a 20 year old Nokia brick phone😂. I usually end up ignoring the indicator and simply charging my board every 10 miles. I got burned once when it went from 2 bars to steady vibration in under 2 miles and I had to do the walk of shame.
Agree with you on all of this. I haven’t noticed any battery drain or rattling behind the headlights. Thanks for pointing that out and I’ll keep an eye on it. I’ve already replaced my Sunmate Tires and picked up the new Nova Tires by Mboards. Haven’t had a chance to ride them yet, but much wider contact patch.
@@ElectricCarves most people including me who bought the light kit will notice the light rattling after awhile i just unscrewed the light from its mount and put electrical tape underneath so its not metal on metal and that fixed it
Love your video man! I just bought my pivot and absolutely love it! I've got the white evolves too but none of my abec pulleys fit them. What pulleys are you using on your board? Did you buy the pulleys from evolve or did you buy them from propel? Keep doing the good work man!
Congrats man!! So, Evolve wheels will only fit with Evolve pulleys. However, Abec pulleys will still fit with a little play. You can still skate them. Feel free to DM me on IG if you have questions! Thanks for watching 👌🏽
It's a great board. Looks premium and yeah pretty good range for the ~$1000 price range. For anyone looking for something with more flex, the Tynee Explorer All Terrain is also a great board as well. More comfortable than an all carbon deck and also uses a 12S4P 864Wh Samsung 50S Battery, same as this Propel Pivot GT and they also have a 12S4P 726Wh Molicel P42A Battery option for $999.
Edit: Yoooo I've got back on this. Don't order a meepo. They don't ship!!! I think its sweet. But you are going to find something else that does the same. *(but bamboo) Just the Meepo bamboo hurricane offers slightly better value at 50 bucks more (1120 vs 1160 dollar) because it come's with a faster charger and 2-in-1 with the soft street wheels. And I like how its a bit lower.
@@yohvh damn man sprry to hear that. I read a lot of complaints abiut them not shipping pr quality control issues within the past month. Its prob for the best, hopefully you can charge back on your credit card
Fred it was basically from your reviews that I was able to find my favorite decks!! I am 100% all in with everything MBoards, but my kids are all about Propel!! We have both Mboards and Pivot GT and Endeavor 2 pro!! Excellent review on this propel though. For me, this is the second best 2in1 after the Endurance!! I highly recommend the Novas!!
Awesome review, indepth, straight to the point, great editing, got me to purchase the pivot gt without the street wheels. Used your code for the $30 of, and earned yourself a sub! This is my first electric skateboard or skateboard for that matter, can you tell me i can go about purchasing the street wheels? Do i need to purchase a different belt and pulley? can i use the pulleys that come with what the madwheels offer? what is the smallest size wheels i can get?
I have a Pivot too and love it. I am a carver and thinking of changing the bushings. I never changed dubble king pin bushings and I can't find what kind of bushing are stock under the pivot. What is a nice setup to improve the board in your experience? ( thanks for the tip in the video of the riptide 96A krankbarrels)
I'm getting better range than this and am 200lbs. with gear. I haven't done a full range test but the other day, including 2000'+ elevation, I got 21 miles on AT's at 45lbs psi and still had just under 2 bars of battery left. Pretty sure I can get 30+ miles out of it, but I'm mostly just cruising around 20-25mph, not a speed demon. Nice video, thanks for posting, love my Pivot GT!
@@ElectricCarves Questions: When installing my AT wheels. the back feels like having a lot more resistance when rolling my board if its turned off. Is this normal? When I am low on battery the controller starts to vibrate a few times every X seconds. when on 1/5 bars. Is it okay to drive slowly when this happens. how much range is left. 20%? When using my Street wheels. I've got a rattling sound in the rear wheels. It seem to be the spacers inside the rear wheel. Do you have this issue as well?
Damn good deal. Just this fu...ng TAX 😢😢😢 will cost me 300 pounds, This board is worth especially because off alloy wheels and great battery. Thanks for video🎉
Hey was just thinking of pulling the trigger on this 2 in 1 as my second board, first being backfire G3 hub, will I have regrets. Pretty much looking for a mean street board that's comfortable with heat and legs, under 1500?
@@michaelsherman931 it’s a great deal right now and on sale. One of the fastest boards out there for under $1k right now with my discount code. You’ll love it 💪🏽

@ same for tynee they’ve responded within 24 hours for every question and the board has almost 2k miles in and is performing amazing, I hope you enjoy your board 🙏
I was considering a pivot gt at $1100, but at $1300 it's hard to justify $150 over a Tynee Explorer with 50S cells or $300 if you just want p42a, Tynee has better included wheels, and the hubs aren't glued to the pulleys, and is even compatible with their gear drive. Tynee also has the best remote outside of backfire or a VESC, and tynee has app support now as well. Tynee also has fast shipping to more countries, the final nail in the coffin of the pivot for me was potentially waiting 55 days to receive my board vs Tynee's 15-25 days. The pivot series made more sense when it launched with a good price and good specs but now with a price increase on both the S and GT, while everyone else's prices are going down, you can get a Zeus pro for less money than a GT now.
All really good points and no doubt the Tynee Explorer is an amazing board! I think it boils down to if you want a flex bamboo deck or carbon fiber. I was personally in the market for carbon fiber to take off road and not having to worry about bottoming out on hills. Also I like the integrated front and rear lights. Tynee has some really cool features with their remote and customization though! Thanks for watching 👌🏽
@@ElectricCarves Definitely the biggest difference between the 2. If I had $2000+ USD to spend on boards I'd get a Pivot GT and a Tynee Ultra X Pro, but for 1 board the Explorer will feel more like a traditional longboard on the street while still being capable offroad
