Great piece of archive buddy. I'm digging out my danelectro to try an' rip it off. When you can sing and play like that you can carry off any hairdo!! I want one.
I have to laugh, Setzer is playing the Real Book arrangement of Satin Doll, this is one of the first songs my guitar instructor circled in the book and told me to "learn by next week", it was in the early 70s, I was 15, I could read music, I had all the barre chord forms down pat, I knew a few movable shaped forms, and I thought I was pretty hot stuff, I quickly learned that I really sucked. My immersion into movable shaped chords and chord melody and music theory seemed at first, as hard a brick wall, but looking back, taking jazz guitar lessons was one of the very best decisions of my life. The best advice I ever got was "learn to play a song and that's all you learned, learn music, and you can play any song".
...sad most music lovers are blind to what Setzer and crew represents....so fuckin cool and talented ....and not even on Rolling Stones top 100 guitar players of all time ...that blows my mind with how fuckin stupid and delusional Rolling Stone can be .... the world we live in ....

He even makes a mullet look cool! Great playing!
When ever Brian covers a song, he truely makes it his own. Im not saying theyre better, just he adds a little something of his own to it.
