This concept , this band was ,is amazing....ya they look like yer average fifties tribute...but unlike a cover band they wrote authentic / slash modern rockabilly originals , lets face it ,setzer is shredder with a great uptown jazzz feel....always loved this band, always....hail hail rocknroll!!
I guess you're under 40 years old. Some of us grew up with Stray Cats, Matchbox, Crazy Cavan and the Rhythm Rockers and other lot's that we are going to dance with like Gene and Eddie.
@@kevinhutcheon136 love all them bands. .im almost 50 at least i think, stopped counted long ago.... peace bro...rocknroll will nevr die! Totaly agreed
Setzer, along with these guys, accomplished in pop music what had never been done before, or since....to resurrect an entire genre of the past, and turn it into music of now. Amazing. In the early 80's rockabilly was all but dead...few played it full time, even less so with authentic, Sun Records era type instruments. The Stray Cats changed all that, and 40 years later rockabilly is as big as it ever was.
I'm a metalhead but I love The Stray Cats since I first heard 'em in the early 80s ..Brian Setzer is a genius on the guitar and with his songwriting -- how he explains how Catfight came out so easy, damn, what a great song and the truly great artists do it with ease .. Love these guys
These guys are national treasures. They’re playing better than ever, look great, and are still capturing the spirit of rockabilly with stellar musicianship, terrific songwriting and extraordinary charisma.
My dad, Larry Bara, he rebuilt hot rods to their original, played upright bass... I was embarrassed to be driven to school in a Merc w no windshield as a elementary student... oh but the music, we shared that passion. He had EVERY single iron on tshirt magazine center, EVERY mag the SC were ever in. He gave them to me in my 20s, i lost it all to heroin & homelessness. Decade+ later, the BSOrch played @ the Eagles Ballroom in Milwaukee, I was the box office girl. I bought my estranged dad the BSO $$ jacket, he never wore it, he's 74 yrs old now & I'm afraid to see him so frail, old, not plucking that upright bass, not trying to outcool his badass, punk rock riot grrrl daughter, me, 45...
Loved the Stray Cats since early day's in London great your back but You owe the UK everything We deserve a Full UK Tour not just a few gigs like everywhere else
👍Great! So glad they are making new music! The old Way! 💘😻 They sound fantastic! I've always loved their flare and music! So unique! My only ♥ recording artists from the 80s that I Loved!❤❤❤ Thank you for sharing!
I saw these guys live in 1984 and they were fanTAStic....I would LOVE to see them live again, unfortunately, it looks like they're not playing anywhere near me.....but I'll be there in spirit! ;-)
Thanks to Scotty Moore!! ...bringn that "mystery train" sound that just got me hooked! & thanks to the guys in straycats for keeping the music rather real & stayn with that echo & or reverb sound ......was good to meet ya Brian few yrs back by total accident...lol...new yrs 01, Trumps casino & just met in passing...truly a cool cat !!
Seeing the Sunday night in Birmingham. Vance Powell, only just heard of him but he's behind the desk on the new clutch album which is also killer sounding
I've been a fan since the early 80s and it's so fantastic hearing new stuff from them (FINALLY!!!) and it's really good stuff to! just wondering if they will start to sing "she's sexy and 70" soon? ;)
I've played for 35 years, done virtually a degree in music and can play most of the demanding technical rock out there but; Try playing Stray Cat's songs accurately, its a real art and its like 'proto guitar', more like flamenco the way it changes technique all the time. The bassist is simply amazing - ask your bassist to play Stray Cat Strut, that quiet middle eight will flummox most players unless they have a good organic connection with the instrument. Cracking stuff - here's to 40 more years!!! :D
Bought this in a charity shop for £1.50.....Glad I never paid the full music shop price. It was complete with mats, stickers, & postcard but even then its a cheap release. *Music fan of 52 years...... NOT IMPRESSED. 😣
i think they should do something daring....give these tapes to somebody else to remix...dont like the mix....good playing and good songs but....dont hear that jump!
We need more Stray Cats!

Yay! The stray cats are back!

..so damn true!
Yes those live shows in the 80's are pure gold.
There's something about rockabilly, it always sounds fresh, yet simultaneously vintage.
These guys are national treasures. They’re playing better than ever, look great, and are still capturing the spirit of rockabilly with stellar musicianship, terrific songwriting and extraordinary charisma.
Would you guys ever work with Dave Edmunds again?
Love the cats so much since 1980
Brilliant band so glad to see them back xx rockabilly forever!❤❤❤
The Rockers are Back in Town.
The technology's been slightly tweaked since the last 80s album but other from that, nothing's changed much besides the years gone by!
The last studio album before this was the covers album 'Original Cool' in 1993
Hearing all this live in a few days!!!

One of the greatest bands ever
Wish they would write an album with darker stuff. After all, that was what made the debut so special.
おじいさんになっても相変わらずみんな素晴らしい!

These studio engineers tend to overthink everything!
Does any one know when they will or if they will announce a full US tour?
Stray cats um Rock n Rio Brazil

😊
I guess I have to wear a bandana now.
👍👍👍💥💥💥💕💕💕
This band was one of my first memories in the 80s. Back when MTV was actually a thing.
What happened to Brian's quiff ? Lol.
He still has great hair though ❤❤
Waiting for concerts in Russia!

ah no photopass damn
I love you guys, but every new song sounds just like one of your old songs. Maybe a slow acoustic melodic song?
Love these guys but I think the engineer blew it
How .
i think they should do something daring....give these tapes to somebody else to remix...dont like the mix....good playing and good songs but....dont hear that jump!
Fantastic 🤜
Please come in Brazil 👐👐👐
