When I built the motor for my 67 Camaro,I had just got it back from the machine shop, put it on a cheap Canadian Tire Motor stand.I had it all assembled,I had just finished installing the aluminum heads,I put the ARP exhaust bolts in their place so I wouldn’t lose them.I rolled the stand closer to my work bench, the front wheel hit a nut on the floor, and the whole stand fell over.Drove the bolt into the head,I actually sat on the floor and cried lol.The machine shop was able to save the head, but not before I tried for weeks to get it out myself.I was so pissed off, thankfully it still kicking ass today, the thing eats newer camaro s and mustangs, but every time I open the hood,I still see the crush on the head. Thanks Vic loving the channel.
Reminds me of a time when I pulled my 460 and C6 out of my van all alone in the winter. It's possible but not a lot of fun. It was a hot rod motor and surprised many when I would drop the hammer. Never needed to dink with 440 in Roadrunner except to jack it up a bit to put headers on.
Not sure if you watch stuff on youtube but if you do and like Mopars you should check out Nick's Garage if you have not already he's another Canadian in Quebec that plays with muscle cars all day and builds engines and he has a engine dyno too. Those cam batteries it's like they know the part you really want to get and so it dies out just in time LOL!!
Yeah, If I don't leave it plugged in out in the cold it goes to zero quick.. Lesson learnt
Love the 3 Gen Chargers, one day I'll get another, with 440 motivation of coarse. Keeo up the good work!
Great video Vic!
Hope you found it useful on your project
Great content Vic. Wee bit of a rust hole above the driver's side header, eh?
yeah. You cant see it from the inside. I think what the previous owner did was just weld a patch over top without fully cutting out the rust.
👍
