I wash my sheepskins twice a year in my washing machine, and they turn out great. At first I was scared, then I love it. You dont need to reapply tanning solution, the skin is already tanned😊😂
Julie Greig - I’m curious to k ow the same, but she offers an online course for that info.... Personally, I have thus far tanned 1 “tester” sheep skin and after salting/drying and rinsing used egg yolks. But I’m waiting a few more days on that before I can start breaking it. I have 2 more hides in the freezer that are a bit better in quality than my “tester” hide. These all came from the butcher and they were less than perfect with skinning. I won’t complain though as I got them for free from a local rancher :)

On her website it says she uses the old orange bottle of hunters and trappers tanning formula
