I think the forums are OTT after getting this, its epic and I've H/W thats underwhelming to the exent, it can't even run 5k. yet I adore this thing, proper tech wow moment ill remember for years to come. go get it when u can mate

for resolution issues from your surface pro. id suggest you consider your cable to beign with. as it has to be a newer standard. its also likely you duplicated your screen and its based off the pro itself. best just extension and manually set the resoltuion. Thanks for the vid, hoping to pick one of these up myself

Strangely enough, my Surface Pro 4 started working with 5120x1440 a few days ago on my old mini DisplayPort cable, yet my Dell with 8k cable that Samsung shipped with did not. How bad all going well, for now, Thanks and do pick one up, they are great.
@@Kevin2me I wish I could. I dont know if youve heard but samsung no longer sell this panel, had been waiting for a month for availability. Seems samsung arnt able to sort the QC issues with this monitor. Absolutely gutted as I have been ready to buy since i first heard of it.

I've ordered custom made oak PC table few days ago. This monitor caught my interest recently as I'm tired of using TN panels currently using Asus 144hz 1440p TN display. Then only thing I'm waiting for is Samsung reaction and whether they will fix/adress the QC issues. One question the legs of the stand have some rubber coating on the bottom or it's just the plastic?

It was only a few days old needless to say I wasn't happy!. I'm waiting on a G9 coming which the wife ordered for me as an early birthday present. It'll be unboxed with military precision ha!. can't tell tbh as I'm using it 100% for just productivity at the moment until I get myself a gaming rig. This was currys cancelled my OC 2nd order today
They will either play their native aspect ratio like 16.9 with black bars or stretched out. Switch and PS4 play but are a little stretched at 32.9, see Zelda in my video.The Ideal solution is a lot of PC games are 32.9 modes now and PS5 X1X maybe. Also, see videos like this on YT too. 151cm, just over 45 inch approx, now thats the extremities of it. I have mine about 43 inches from the wall or edge of my desk, so if its an alcove you be fine, if its a narrow room 44 inches wide it be a squeeze
Just tiny bit light bleed top left corner 2 inches in and it hasnt got bigger in 2 months since nor can i see it in dark room unless i stand up and hover over it, all good bar that.
Thanks for checking in, its not a Recall as of yet, heck anyone whom got theirs already hasn't been asked to return them. its more Samsung requested a selection of retailers to send them back for extra OC that's all, not a full blown recall, 1-2 retailers in US like Best buy and Micro Center I think and 1 in Germany, no recall in UK as it stands.

just plastic, but got to say I'm a fan of the legs as the behind the monitors footprint gonna stick with em over VESA Mount as a result

how do the speakers sound on it? sounds pretty good from the video
none unfortunately, only the 49 lg one has speakers so need to add your own. not a big deal but its one more thing / cable needed

@@mikegriffin5724 bezel is 100% and 0 dead pixels so all good. its not hot at all maybe due to delicate untangling and enjoy week ahead buddy
Need your help have a 44inch wall space for this would it fit width wise can tou measue top corner of screen to top corner of screen

Maybe try getting a better mic when recording away from the camera. There is so much echoe and your voice is too low
it was just on my note 10, getting some equipment thou is on my to do list, audio was terrible!😀
