Personally, I'm waiting for the double wide monitor. Largely made of cardboard and particle wood and attracts tornadoes but comes with a trailer hitch so I can hook it up to my truck and haul it off to safety!

A big reason why the large screens at a movie theater are curved, is to make sure that the screen is an equal distance from the projector. You know, the thing that lights the screen. The large movie theater screens are so large that, if they were flat, the edges would be noticeably dimmer than the center because the edges would be a lot further away.

I have had this monitor for a couple months and I have been having some issues with it that have only gotten worse. The monitor seems to have no or improper ground shielding. The reason I say this is EVERY SINGLE TIME I get out of my chair the static that creates makes the monitor audibly pop and shut down. It then will not reacquire the video signal and requires you to unplug the display cable and plug it in. It also sometimes happens while I'm sitting down trying to use it if some static gets generated while I'm sitting. Theater screens are curved so that all parts of the screen are an equal distance from the projector (not your eyes), this stops the edges of the screen from being slightly out of focus.

Bought one a while back and the panel now has 5 large vertical bars running from top to bottom spaced about 3 to 5 inches apart from each other. This is the second time this has happened with a Samsung curved monitor. Just switched to an LG G1 and couldn't be happier

i just bought it today. it looks narrow vertically in the video and in pictures, but its bigger in person. Its perfect vertically as well.
I want to know if this is going to go natively wide on the ps5 or the new xbox? The ps4 (non pro) only lets me use hdr and force stretch wide. I don’t want to waste my money on a ps5 or new xbox if it doesn’t go 5120x1440 or at least 3840x1440. If you can test them please let me know! I’m seriously considering staying pc but I would get the ps5 only for gran turismo.

I had that one, had a horrible back light flicker but it was still a great experience, really down to luck to get a completely working product, and it’s $400 which is super low compared to other monitors with the same specs

Some of the structure of the DS would have been ejected away from the planet by the explosion but a good percentage would have remained stuck in gravity well of the planet. Matter cannot be created not destroyed, anything obliterated by the intense heat of the explosion would have still remained in the star system and ultimately would be recoverable if it was worth it for the scavanger.
That being said the DS on the surface of the planet was an artistic direction I would never complain about, it left long lasting imagery that anyone who saw the movie will never forget.

nah its not very intense light so it doesn't reflect well or emit much light outward. in a completely dark room with it right up against the wall you might see a little. i set it up in an area where it is walked by a lot and viewable from the back. its really the best option for this monitor to look good and take advantage of the back rgb
