OK that was a nice video until like 10:46 Right there, it became bloody awesome :) Great job gals and guys! Not giving up, getting that car up the hill :) Love it!
Its a challenge! I wasn't in that group but I was part of a cadet group pulling that car up the hill! In fact I am friends with 4 of the cadets in the video :)
Yes you did. it was one of around 30 that were exported to the Royal Danish Air Force. and was operational from 1956 to 1973. It was used from 1982 as a training air frame at Brooklands Technical College and in 1989 it was loaned to the Museum. Here is a link to the video I made of us recovering it. ruclips.net/video/gZM_70btX2g/видео.html Cheers Andy
As someone who has walked up it, I can tell you it is, but that is the idea. It starts with a gradient of 1 in 8, and that increases to a gradient of 1 in 4 at the top. It was used by manufacturers to test car's ability to climb a hill and braking efficiency.
I love the video. Two things though. One, when the A made its first attempt at it and failed I was like WTBH (what the bloody hell), how does a MGA fail getting up this hill!? Seriously they failed. Also who's the knob who brought his Sinclair C5? Who on earth would bring a Sinclair C5 to a 1 in 8 to 1 in 4 hill?
Great fun to watch, great camera work and editing, Thank's for posting the film.
Good video enjoyed it thanks for posting. Brooklands a great piece of history.
I cannot wait for this years double twelve going too be so much fun

Yes it is so easy to criticise the young today, but when you see that determination, it is a little reassuring

1:45 Subaru 2.5 engine? Sounds pretty damn close.
I went on your bus to see the Christmas lites and I said I subscribed
Good fun!
Good to see the old stuff getting a workout. Guy in the MGA needs to tell the old girl not to hang her hand bag on the choke knob! ;-)
Think that i just saw a Danish Hawker Hunter at port side of the track !

good strength test for the cadets, to get them out of flabby shape, like most youngsters today.
