- During Dunsfold Wings and Wheels Georgina Wood got the chance to drive the 1933 Brooklands Napier-Railton around parts of the Top Gear test track. This video gives a good idea what it is like to drive this 24 Litre Aero Engined beast that holds the all time lap record at Brooklands (143.44 mph). The truly amazing thing was that Georgina had had no experience of driving it before, apart from a few basic lessons.

Holy mufflers pal! Those exhausts have a built-in suitcase on each pipe! I love this car so much, I just never realized how massive those silencers were before XD
More to see in the Napier Playlist at my www.andysvideo.com
jeeez, I would have loved to be there to see/hear that!!
Nice to see an elderly piece of kit such as this 'out and about' and not gathering dust in a museum. Would have liked to have heard that engine being given the beans, but there we are.

@@AndysVideo Great looking site. Going to enjoy 'binge' watching these vids!. Nice one!.
Wow, thank you - this is a great video! I had the best time ever!
Is that the slowest lap for Top Gear? I saw this MONSTER at a West midlands Museum 20 years ago.
Lovely looking car.
I wonder, can Georgina change gear up and down the box on the Napier Railton?
Again, nice work. I'd like to shoot with you.
PS...its Georgina Wood!
yeah, but does it sound like it does in Forza?

Just a question, is your vehicule equiped with a NAPPIER SABRE?
Because i'm a fan of the HAWKER TEMPEST and i search informations for the NAPPIER engine.
Thanks.
No that was far too late, it uses the Napier Lion in production since 1917 the car was built in 1933 and of course the Sabre was not in production until the start of the second World War.
Would be better to see it flat out 110 percent throttle rather than driving for the sake of it
It looks like it can run over a sleeping policeman, so I guess it can go on the board
Why was she wearing a helmet.
to protect her ears and eyes. this car was pre WW1
@@ShotgunSurge0n058 ww2*
@@tarpnarp It was made in 1933, so a little earlier than WWII
cover your ears lads
" I've Seen people Push Shopping Trolleys Faster "
and how many of those Shopping Trolleys hold the world record for the fasts lap of Brooklands Motor Curcuit for 80 odd years?
It looks just like the car in forza it’s modeled after
Mixup 221 cause this is the car, the Forza is the exact replica
i think its awesome that they let woman drive it
