It would be amazing if it really is Loki vs RDJ Dr Doom because in the first avengers Tony and Loki had that one on one conversation and that was when the avengers truly formed. For it to come back and have Loki be the hero this time would be a perfect ending for the character.
There's a Dr Doom variant that's actually Reed Richard's with two infinity gems embedded in his eyes. Paradox could come back similar to that...just a fun idea
My theory as to why Thor is crying is that perhaps Loki is able to tap into Deadpool's fourth wall abilities to speak to his brother through Deadpool and perhaps the scene we are watching is that something bad might have happened to Loki that we cannot see but is being reported through Deadpool causing Thor to cry for his brother who is currently dying or something
did the TVA do anything at all? could it not just be lies from a single rogue agent, Paradox, that made it all up to get what he wanted? Wouldnt be that hard for him to doctor the video of Deadpool and Thor to get Wade on board?
Even when he told him theyd die , it was like he baited deadpool and wolverine knowing it wouldnt kill them - a paradox. Getting caught was on purpose for his plan later on.
From my understanding Paradox was the one that chose Deadpool not the TVA leadership. He was lying to Deadpool so that he can use him to enact his plan to prune Deadpool's universe.
Didn't seem that way to me, Deadpool didn't have any part to play in Paradox's plan for it to work, he could've just left him in his universe to get pruned. So his reason for getting him out must've come from someone else high enough that he needed to follow those orders.
It would be iconic and a fantastic send off for everything and everyone prior to the Mutant Saga and Secret Wars if RDJ and Tom Hiddleston faced off again like in Avengers but more epic. It gives me chills to think about.
The reason I think it could have been Loki's decision: Paradox, said "a higher purpose" which is pretty close to Loki's "catchphrase". You know, the ole glorious purpose.
I see Doom going through the world conquering it like Ultravision did, just a bit slower and with a little magical help. Then, Loki or the Watcher give him that line about not being the only universe and RDJ says “I knew there was more to conquer.”
I don't really like the idea of there still being a "sacred timeline". Because what Loki did was say all timelines are important, all should exist. Undoing that kind or ruins what he did.
Ignore the propaganda in this video. Its just Paradox who cares about the Sacred Timeline. The TVA and Loki are behaving as peacekeepers and not pruning.
This kinda makes his whole deal make more sense. He probably pushed deadpool yo go crazy and cause trouble trying to save his universe, so that paradox had an excuse to build his machine. It’s a false flag operation in which you let loose a Deadpool because you know he’ll cause trouble. That’s why he told his whole plan Deadpool in that classic villain way, so that he would freak out and become a subject to chase after.
They should have at least re-cast Kang. To keep him for a future threat, and explain him away from the original plan Kevin Fige and Marvel had for kang. Is he still a threat, or what?
As far as I'm aware, Jonathan Majors had a clause in his contract which stated only he could play Kang or any of his variants in the MCU. It was stupid of Disney to agree to such a contract, but until that contract runs out nobody else can play Kang.
Sending Deadpool back to 10005 doesn’t actually mess up the future plan they have for him in the MCU. They got him from 10005 before and they can do it again. He can stay in his universe and just come over to the MCU any time they need him.
did anyone else notice deadpools eyes arent really white in this movie? they look grey, and his eyes arent as expressive as they were in the first two movies
10:24 It never confused me because you can see the timeline of Rhodes wearing the leg brace exoskeleton to counter his civil war paralysis to the Skrull Rhodes not needing the exoskeleton. Only people not paying attention were confused about when Rhodes was replaced.
Wasn't it revealed that Deadpool & Wolverine was written before the end of Loki season 2? So they had to modify the story slightly to fit in with what happened. That might explain some of the things cut and people are reading into to much when some of the stuff was just to save continuity.
Loki Season 2 was finished being written by June 2022. Wolverine wasn't even on the table until sometime after August 2022 (which was when Jackman went to Reynolds saying he wanted in on a Deadpool film).
The more I think about it the more I think casting RDJ as Dr. Doom is a mistake. I think it is just going to make things way too confusing and complicated for the average fan. Seems like a desperate move. Idk, hopefully I'm wrong and they figure out a creative way to make it work.
I love that theory especially that Loki being a variant taken to the TVA right after having that conversation with Tony and losing to the avengers to mark the beginning of his path to the Loki of stories he is now. Then ending these avengers movies with a flipped version of the conversation and fight to mark the end
So, I have multiple theories. One is that the Wade in Deadpool and Wolverine is not the same Wade from Deadpool 2 because no Domino but they did have Shatterstar. The next theory I have is that everyone that took on Cassandra was actually anchors for their timelines that Paradox yoinked to kill their branches.
Ummm… I thought that the tva grabbed Deadpool on paradox’s orders so that he could use him to speed up the destruction of his own “doomed” universe in exchange for moving over to the sacred timeline?
Thor is crying for Loki. Wade is going to be a conduit for reuniting the brothers, and that means Wade wasn't just having a cute dreams for a gag… Loki is using Wade to dream walk…
Go DISNEY go, Deadpool & Wolverine is my FAVOURITE movie ever MARVEL stepped up the game hard on this one I cant wait to see the Digital version, the MCU makes me happy!
Loki is only watching over the 616 . The TVA is watching over multiple universes and their branches. They are simply establishing that the higher up in rank you go the more districts you manage or the more responsibility you have regarding the wider Marvel Multi Universe
Paradox knew Deadpool was bringing brought to his TVA section.... so there's no way that he was "surprised " by the future scene being broadcast. He obviously wanted DP to see & react to it as ca distraction for his plan
The low point joke was coincidence. Nothing more. When they wrote/ made the scene, they didn't know the latest movies dropping from Marvel while they were filming DP, were going to bomb. It was just a joke that ended up working out.
Very compelling that the doomsday match up focus will be with Loki, easily their best project post endgame. I just worry about how they justify RDJ as Doom.
I think you guys are hanging way too hard onto the Thor and Deadpool scene. I really don’t think there’s any reason to think it’s some foreshadowing. Why would they kill off a character that just got introduced and made a billion dollars for them???
If you Rody was replayed after Civil War, it would have made no sense that he nearly drowned in Endgame as a Skrull. When the Avengers building collapsed on them, he got out of his suite and could not move his legs. I would assume that the Skrull could move them. This indicates that he was the real Rody.
Idea for Deadpool 4: after Wade escaped, the TVA decided to scientifically engineer another Deadpool specifically for 616 that could peer into other multiverses. But then during the incursions, this variant gets flung across the multiverse, losing out on the purpose he was promised during his creation. He spends his entire life eliminating entire universes to find 616 until he does, and he wants to get revenge on Deadpool Prime. Deadpool Kills Deadpool.
Something that does not make sense is that the powers that be want to fix the mcu by having the incursion so that those heros can populate the main universe. But it would not make sense for just the heros to travel to the main universe, the people would also have to travel over. So does that mean that the population on both universes will need to be significantly reduced to accommodate everyone in the main universe?
I really do feel Kang is the reason for the lack of mutants and other Marvel characters. He needed them to be omitted to ensure his existence and victory.
In the comics, Doom left college directly after his accident which scarred his face (which he blamed Reed for). So, if he left college, how is he a doctor?
@@BarrissCoffee I think his ego is too big for that. He probably thought that he already knew more and was much smarter than what any college could offer him.
I loved the antagonist/protagonist role reversal our most beloved hero in RDJ into a supervillain versus long-time baddie in Loki as the God of Stories who may stand up to Doom. A nod to the teaching of Zen master Thích Nhất Hạnh...that perhaps in a different life w/ vastly different life circumstances, our teacher (Thay) may have been the pirate who committed atrocities.

Doom finding out that his universe is being erased in favor of a universe that doesn't even have a Latveria would be amazing motivation
it does have a latveria. in moonknight.
The Latveria thing should simply be a cherry on top. His main grub should be because beings are consciously deeming his universe as nothing.
Latveria exists. It borders Sokovia

100% was a joke and a play on the scene in Thor 2

Ngl yea

The elevator scene should've remained in the film since we would've gotten extra context on the TVA's "evolution".
I hope they do a director's cut like they did for the DP 2 BluRay Release - that was one of the funniest movies I have ever seen.
