I'm so happy for Channing Tatum that his version of Gambit has been so well received. I mean, the initial appearance was always going to get a pop, but to have made such an overwhelming impression for every scene he had is absolutely awesome.

@shockz8219 have you not seen the images with him as gambit? He's already used to doing a lot of weird accents, he's the perfect age for the character, and he's a lot slimmer like gambit. I liked Tatum's gambit a lot, but he's a bit too stocky for the character

in dr strange they, the ancient one says the clearer you invision the location the better it’ll work, so it has to be someone that was there recently to visualize the scene in their head.
Since a version of strange been in the void it could be strange seeing as to all the evidence in MOM.

Deadpool & Wolverine being a backdoor pilot for some future movies is so hype. I'd love if Westley Snipes gets his "farewell" Blade movie, and Channing Tatum becomes the MCU proper Gambit. Genuinely the most fun I've had at a movie theater in a bit.

In my mind, Gambit sees Dr Doom arrive for Secret Wars and repeats his iconic line in a heavy Cajun accent - "You know how long I have been waiting for this. Wooooh, I'm about to make a name for myself here."
I always assumed it was an establishing shot of Gambit looking at the portal Cassandra Nova opened for Deadpool & Wolverine. Since the reflection in his headband is from above, as well as Remy looking up to where that specific portal was.

i’m pretty sure deadpool was just replacing loki in that thor dark world scene with himself as a way of saying “move over god of stories loki, i’m the real savior here” and we’re all just reading into that scene way too much. thor has the same beard, clothes, and face cuts as he did in dark world and the shots even line up pretty closely. not saying thor won’t have a large role to play in secret wars, but i don’t think we should expect that scene to be some kind of premonition.
he didn’t have on the same clothes, the armor is completely different.

my thoughts exactly, it looks painfully obvious they didn't shot that scene with Thor at all just replace image of Loki with Deadpool and maybe changed few scratches on Thor to appear a bit different but I think it supposed to be just a funny addition to Deadpool&Wolverine movie and his later fixation on Thor in the rest of the movie not like super important scene in next Avengers, even more when the context of the scene is silly and almost funny as Deadpool can't die so why Thor would cry holding his wounded body (besides the fact that Thor maybe don't know that Deadpool can regenerate and can't die so that Deadpool can have funny moment but then it still feels like a waste of screen time for a serious Avenger movie and not next Deadpool movie that we know is not in making at least for now)
Paradox very clearly states that event is in the future and Deadpool is constantly waking up shouting Thor so it's not something that should just be dismissed as a joke.

Seeing an end teaser with an X-Men character turning toward the camera, grinning subtly, and having yellow circles appear in his eyes can only bring Mystique to my mind. Obviously not what's happening there at all, but still visually evocative of something like the Stryker Mystique tease at the end of Days of Future Past

I think he went to the universe of X-Men’97. A cartoon universe. It’s possible, we seen a version of it in Doctor Strange Multiverse of Madness. It’s possible or he went to the 616 or 838 universe.

I like to think it’s doctor strange or Loki. It could be Loki who is recruiting all hero’s for secret wars so he goes into the void to grab gambit. Or it’s doctor strange as I think that it could be in a moment in doomsday or secret wars where the avengers are talking and Deadpool brings out the sling ring and Deadpool mentions gambit so doctor strange decides to grab the sling ring from Deadpool and open the portal up as gambit comes out.

The other option I see is that the because void exists in a non-linear timeline. Then it could be somehow be someone from a future point of when Deadpool/Wolverine left the void, and it’s in the current Secret Wars timeframe. So from his POV it was minutes/hours, but from a timeline perspective it’s someone picking him up from the future for a team up in something like Secret Wars
Imagine going to see Fantastic Four First Steps, and the postcreditscene is the Gambit-scene, but extended:
Gambit: "Didn't think we'a be seeing you again around these parts.."

Deadpool may have gotten the ring but he’s never capable of conjuring the portal. Not everyone can conjure that easily.

Reynolds saved Gambit by bringing him to life in this movie, he saved him again as Deadpool with the ring as well.
If we follow the Loki logic, that stones only work in their home universe, would that mean the sling ring only functions as a sling ring unless it's in it's home universe and then also gains the power of the stones?
Common mistake. According to Loki and What If...?, infinity stones still work in other universes. They just don't work within the TVA because there are active dampeners preventing the usage of magic and powers and the organization itself exists outside of time and space. Technically even in Endgame, the stones obtained during the Time Heist became multiversal stones for that short period they were used outside their original timelines.
They dont have to be in their home universes. Just don’t work in the tva.

As much as I love the speculations, you could also just caulk this up to Ryan Reynolds having fun. You would hope that Marvel has all the story lines planned, but Ryan could have just wanted to film a backdoor for Channing Tatum to get a bigger role later. That could also be why it was cut. Marvel being like... "Yeah... we aren't sure.. lets cut that just to be safe"

Remember that the sparkle circles aren’t restricted to sling rings, but that depends on how cannon you see Agents Of Shield. Robbie Reyes’ ghost rider could open a portal by whipping his chain around, which he does once in the series. Not saying it’s Ghost rider per se, but don’t leave him out!

My guess is Gambit himself opened the portal…
1. He IS a thief
2. The shot doesn’t pan to reveal what his hands are actually doing as the portal opens.
3. Gambit being born in, and disregarded to the void does nothing for the writers, characters, or fans, and slyly inferring to the fact he IS a thief is slept on, and rewarding for all three.

The portal reflected on Gambit's pupils starts small, and gradually grows in size. The sorcerers' portals are shaped to it's size immediately, and formed from the edges (like it was drawn with a pen), they don't grow. Don't think Gambit is rescued by a sorcerer with these differences.

I have to profess another suggestion, especially given Ryan Reynolds penchant for giving cameo's or paying tribute: the portal broadens, and a glowing properly as befitting for the great creator, its none other than STAN LEE, rocking proper Beyonder style glowing robes, who says, naturally, "Excelsior! Let's get you home, son." Not a dry eye in the house, audience roars in approval.

The sling ring comes from Paradox's mouth without the infinity stones. The stones are now part of his mind?
I find it interesting that most people assume that it was a Dr. Strange Variant that was killed by Cassandra. Sling rings are not unique equipment to Strange, and from things like the Loki series, we know there are dozens upon dozens of realities where shenanigans happened with the Infinity Stones (and how they have no power in the TVA, and people use them for paperweights). So the sorcerer that was killed by Cassandra could have been any one of the dozens we've seen (if you count all of the ones in the big battle from Multiverse of Madness), or even a variant of the Ancient One herself - who has a similar build to Cassandra and would have made it easy to 'wear'.
I actually think it's just Deadpool coming back for his friend.
