He knows the character well himself since Remy is his favorite character as well.

You can see that kid inside of him just bursting at the seams, so happy and joyful that he got to play the part and now we actually have a pretty good chance of having a The Gambit movie. There's a clip from SDCC 2015 where all the Fox-Marvel actors are on stage taking a selfie and when Stan Lee is shuffling to the side to get off the stage, Channing is the first one to rush to take his hand and help him. Dude is such a genuinely kind hearted guy that you can't help but root for him, it was heartbreaking as a fan to see how bad he wanted Gambit to happen but it just never got off the ground. I'm so happy he got to be Gambit for at least a little bit in Deadpool & Wolverine. Hoping there's more of that character in the future for him.
The love and respect he has for this character translates well onto screen. I assumed he was a little kid throwing playing cards around and to hear him confirm that was pretty fun.
Channing Tatum's Gambit was truly a surprising cameo, never expected to see him. But it was wholesome none the less! Hope his Gambit movie comes to fruitition.
The promotion for this movie was *stellar*. The trailers were good, the coverage was 110%, and the marketing was creative and entertaining without giving away the show.
And they kept all the cameo's secret until it hit the theatres. The shock and surprise was real. I could understand if they'd used the cameo's to hype the movie, but they had faith in the two leads enough to know people would go to see it in droves without spoiling the surprises.
I watched deadpool and wolverine 4 times on cinema. And with those entertaining cameos they all had i strongly believe Gambit, Blade and Eleckra will be coming back on our screens permanently again....❤❤❤

A solo movie just doesn't seem like something there'd be space for in the grand scheme. They'd want a younger Gambit for their younger X-Men.

Channing Tatum was the Gambit we all wanted and needed. Yes, for the 90's cartoon they had to have Gambit annunciate everything otherwise most American kids wouldn't have understood a word he said, but it felt so good to hear Gambit being the truest Gambit.
You can tell Channing was heavily inspired by the 90s X-Men cartoon. The more I think about his performance, the more I see an exaggerated performance of that version of Gambit, and it's great. I really would look forward to seeing what more a Tatum-Gambit interpretation could offer under more serious direction.

Channing has been in talks with having a Gambit solo movie since 2010. There was multiple rewrites of the script and directors quitting and being replaced. So when Disney bought Fox...it got scrapped. Kevin Feige was right that he couldn't fit Gambit or any of the X-Men until recently with Phase five with end credit scene in the Marvels. The X-Men movies are coming...it will most likely be in Phase 7. We are finally getting a Fantastic 4 movie and I'm sure Disney will do it right.

You can tell that playing gambit was emotional for him here. I really do hope that when mutants are introduced in the MCU for real, he's the forerunner for gambit in the MCU.

Channing Tatum was the Gambit we all wanted and needed. Yes, for the 90's cartoon they had to have Gambit annunciate everything otherwise most American kids wouldn't have understood a word he said, but it felt so good to hear Gambit being the truest Gambit.
You can tell Channing was heavily inspired by the 90s X-Men cartoon. The more I think about his performance, the more I see an exaggerated performance of that version of Gambit, and it's great. I really would look forward to seeing what more a Tatum-Gambit interpretation could offer under more serious direction.

Channing has been in talks with having a Gambit solo movie since 2010. There was multiple rewrites of the script and directors quitting and being replaced. So when Disney bought Fox...it got scrapped. Kevin Feige was right that he couldn't fit Gambit or any of the X-Men until recently with Phase five with end credit scene in the Marvels. The X-Men movies are coming...it will most likely be in Phase 7. We are finally getting a Fantastic 4 movie and I'm sure Disney will do it right.
Ryan Reynolds it's a truly friend and someone who cares about his friend's happiness, he made Channing's dream to play Gambit finally real, for me it was one of the most beautiful and kind moment that I've seen in Hollywood
He absolutely crushed it as Gambit. He knows the character in and out and they should absolutely make his movie. He was born for this role.
