You can stuff a sock with crinkled up, cleaned cereal box liners, tie the open end into a knot, and voila, instant crinkle toy for your pet. Add catnip or silvervine for cats.
If you have 3 mens tube socks with holes in the toes, repurpose by sewing them together into one long tube, fill with rice or sand, to make a draft stopper for in front of an exterior door.

Socks are great for packing glassware. Great for storing fragile ornaments that can fit . I knew about the loop pot holder,cleaning and dusting. I love socks and their designs and colors.

Fugal people always have a bottom jar. My Dad always kept spare buttons that way. I take sets of buttons and string them together with floss. The rest of the item from which they came always finds a second life one way or another.
I knew a guy who put 10 bucks worth of quarters in a long tube sock as self defense apparatus. And he asserted that it needs to be quarters because a 10 dollar bill is infinitely less effective than the quarters. He couldn't stress that enough.
I tried the scent sachets and the oily rice soaked through and stained my clothes. I barely even put any essential oil in the rice. I don't recommend this one unless you want grease stained clothes. I should have thought first before i made these, like obviously the oil is going to just soak right through. I'm just glad I didn't give any away as gifts! Thank goodness I know to use regular dawn dish soap on a grease stain to get it right out!
Awww...I'm sorry to hear that! I haven't had that issue at all. Essential oils, contrary to their name, are not usually oily. Was it a pure essential oil or a mix with another oil?
@@frugalcreativeliving I used almost a teaspoon of lemon essential oil in about a cup of rice. Maybe my essential oil is cheap or something, idk but I'm glad I could get the clothes cleaned up anyway! They smelled great, just had oily spots on them! 😆

I use the old socks to dust and clean the blinds. Lately, I've been making them into Zoikins(Japanese cleaning cloths).
