This video is the best for eggs! I follow it every time I make eggs. They come out perfect! I also bought an ultra off of this video and I haven't regretted it! Thank you for your demo and unboxing!
It’s been 2 yrs since you filmed this. I hope by now you have realized your "10" in one is half "pre-sets". Meaning, the rice, sterilize, yogurt, sous vide, sauté & slow cook are different. The others are pre-set times of "pressure cook" ie egg, meat, cake are all pressure cook but the company just set a time on it. The nice thing is the last timing you used on any button is "remembered" by the IP. So, if you find you prefer to cook your eggs at 2 min, you never have to set the time after the 1st setting.
If 70 degrees is sweltering to you, never come to the South. For us, 70 degrees is like a perfect day.
Normally i love heat! The humidity is what I loathe, which I’ve heard is also major in the south
christschool I’ll get a bit chilled @ 70. Usually about 95+ & 100% humidity in southeast Texas.
We got this last week on Amazon for $70 but my wife is scared of it. I’m doing the first run of eggs with your video so if one of us gets scalded it’ll be me. Her words..... 😂😂
I was scared of mine too LOL. I keep watching videos until I feel confident. haaa!
Me too!! I’ve made pot roast and red beans and rice in 45 minutes compared to 3-4 hours!!! I can make all purpose shredded chicken in 20 minutes for different recipes for the week!! It really is a modern mommy life saver!!
I soo loved your video, Thank yu, I bought the Ultra mini 3 qt i love it I use it foe everything
, boiled eggs, steel cut oats for breakfast, beans, beef stroganoff, use it like 4 or 5 times a week...

I'm also a show me type of person. I also had a little problem putting on the cup in back when I first got it. Wait until you try the cheescakes. You'll never go out for one again. I'm glad you showed how it worked. I'm thinking about getting one more I.P. This might be the one. Oh crap! Now I'm going to try making hard boiled eggs! Perfect! I love them for my salads! Try Twin Cities Adventures for cheesecakes. His Pumpkin one is wonderful and his plain one. I'm going to try his Chocolate one next.
Thank you...I also have been wanting an InstantPot for ages... Finally the Ultra came on Easy Pay @ QVC. Grabbed it! WOOO... So I got the Ultra 6 qt. just yesterday... Set it up today... Afraid to try it but can't wait either. LOVE all of your rings too lol
Now that egg peeling was amazing. I just ordered a "used like new" Instant Pot Ultra 8qt from Amazon. The unit is from a 3rd party but guaranteed by Amazon. The classification "used like new" means all parts are there but may have damage to the box. I wanted so bad. It was in my cart but I waited to think about it. The next day the price dropped $45, so I decided if the unit was unacceptable I would send it back & if it was acceptable, then I found a great bargain. I can’t wait to get it. Thanks for the demo.
I love buying used from Amazon! I’ve always had great luck. Did it work out for you?
Hi I love you video. I just purchased the instant pot ultra unfortunately I had to send it back because the quick release pressure valve was not working it would not turn to the sealing position, so it would pressurize. I checked out the place you said you bought your instant pot but unfortunately that information that you gave " Sterling Table" ) did not open up. I got this name of the store from your transcript. I like the way this store packed the unit, and I like the fact that they sent recipe book, coupons, warranty. Amazon didn't send all of that, I even had some utensils missing, and the measuring cup,... I paid $159. For mine. So if you would send me the link and the name of the store you purchase your instant pot from I really, really appreciate it. Thank you, and stay safe
Good honest review! I bought a 6 first and now the 8 quart. Use them several times a week.. thanks
You're still helping people, just fyi. :)

That would be so fun! I’m OBSESSED with my instant pot lol
Hello! Thanks for your video, gives a great concept of size. Considering purchasing one of these but the deal-breaker for me is whether you can adjust temperature for cooking? Hopefully you can let me know... many thanks in advance :)
You can't adjust the temp in degrees...but there is a high, med, and low setting
They're really a great appliance and I've loved mine!
I would love to have 70 degrees here. It's bloody cold here.
Thank you so much for your video, it's helpful.
Excellent demonstration. I am thinking about getting this exact model. Surprised it doesn’t have an egg preset. Trick to having easy peel eggs is having eggs age a bit. Eggs cooked 1day after purchase will not peel as easy as those that were in fridge for a week before cooking.
You ought to see how hard it is to peel an egg that was just laid. I used to have chickens & used to know every way to cook the eggs. I couldn’t believe it the 1st time I tried to peel the eggs! But you’re right the older eggs peel easier. Actually though the eggs in stores ARE older eggs.
Great work TY. just bought 1 and doing spare ribs as i text
Great 👍🏻 video
Talking about nauseating heat it is 103 now in central Florida
How come your preheating takes less time then mone
Is it really a slow cooker if a bread/tortilla/whatever bag isn't melted to the outside?
Haha so true!
This is a nice benchmark video -- a little bit long, but from it I can tell a lot more about how this ultra pot works compared to what you see in other reviews. The fact that it takes 6 minutes to get to steam is a big interesting, since technically you are steaming from the moment the water starts to boil. I only wonder if you can steam the eggs with a glass lid setup on it just as fast.
Thanks for the comment! I’ve never tried it with the glass lid, but that’s a good idea! I still love my instant pot, I use it multiple times a week!
Make receipts !
There is an egg setting why use the steam?
Hah good question. I was following something I read online...I still don't use the egg setting because I've heard it can overcook the eggs
7 minutes to pressure 6 minutes cook time. A stove top could do that in 5
You are adorable. Have the same pot. I will follow you and boil some eggs. 😊
Really, I can boil eggs in a pot of water much quicker.
I’m not great at making them on the stove...so this way they turn out nicely! I did eggs because it was my first time trying it, I still do them from time to time, but I mainly use it for dinners especially if I’m at work all day.
Thanks for watching! :)
Cool, and thanks for posting the video. Jeff
I have been on a quest for at least the last decade to produce the reproducible method of cooking a perfect medium boiled egg. I don’t want a hard boiled egg with a dry yolk, nor a too soft boiled egg with runny whites. I tried many times using boiled water & it was impossible-- when I did produce a medium boiled egg it was by mere chance. Then I tried with the microwave. I tried all the new gadgets "as seen on tv" to produce the perfect medium boiled egg. I didn’t really succeed with any of those methods, either.
Then enter the electric pressure cookers. At last, something that does cook the whites and leave the yolk soft - if you so desire. It can also cook the yolks all the way through without making them dry - if you so desire. OMG! It is a device that can cook "boiled" eggs perfectly EVERY TIME. Really, Jeff, producing a hard boiled egg in a pot of H2O isn’t that difficult because the timing isn’t so critical 8-9-10 minutes. But try to produce an egg with cooked whites & soft yolks. It happens more by accident than design.
o.k. guess you got it.....too much yakkin' tho.....stay at it...
I don't think steaming eggs was the correct thing to do. High pressure them for 5, NATURAL release for 6 and then ice bath. Not trying to be rude but personally, it drives me nuts when people keep saying "so, yeah." Hard to keep hearing that over and over. Otherwise, enjoy. You'll get used to it and love it.
I definitely do say that a lot 🙃 Making videos still isn’t very natural to me so I add a lot more fillers than I would in a regular conversation. Thank you for watching!
This lady talks too much. I dont care you went to the park for however long, I dont care how hot it is outside. I come to you tube to learn something. "Just the facts ma'am. "
