Imagine your bike at 600ft instead of 6000.....I'm in Indiana and I freaking love my 300XC! I bet it runs as good stock as yours does with the mods at elevation. The more I ride it,the more I love it!
I run the hi comp and trail tune on my 23 tx300 at 0 to 1000ft here in aus and I can guarantee you it’s so much better than stock 💪
I live at sea level in Wa state and have the 23 300 XC, just got the TSP Woods map with High comp head(50% VP 110 + 50% 93 non ethanol gas mixed at 60/1, it rips in green. The peeps at South Bay are really awesome to deal with. I also had them do a high comp head and woods map + fuel injection relocation kit for my Husq TE 150. It is really sweet.
Heck yeah
We just did this on the tx300 in the shop. It’s so good.
Awesome stuff
Looks like such a great time. Northeast Ohio was pretty muddy this weekend but I got some time in.
Nice riding guys!
Cool. Good to know. I don’t find my 23 300SX runs bad or is lacking… but on the steadier rides, it is a little spoogey on the silencer. It’s not an essential mod for me… but that’s irrelevant, anything that makes it feel better is worth doing. 😁
I run my 15 300EXC with S3 high comp head and 38HV Lectron. Then swap EXC & SXS CDIs plus PV springs depending where I’m going to ride. It’s very versatile and runs great.
The ECU controlled power valve is the biggest game changer for me though… the above is great but the ECU PV makes the difference between the Lectron and TBI for me.
A desert map/MX and a more XC trail map would be perfect for me… and those heads look sweet too… very well thought out and machined. 😎👌
It makes you wonder why the factory doesn't fine tune the ECU and head like TSP does, they certainly have the capability, also Ewen is standing up a lot more now and he does quite well on that 125, he's getting to the point of 250 territory.
Because if they leave it rich on the bottom it shouldn’t blow there, where most people use them most of the time. And if it’s lean up top that’s likely to do with emissions I’d guess.
Remember these bikes are ran all over the world with all sorts of different fuels. KTM has to put a safe tune up in these bikes so they can run anywhere on anything.
@@memphis28571yeah, pretty much 👌
Nice! Bike sounds so good and clean.
Great video as always. I think you may have mentioned this in the comments of the last vid, but I would love to hear a comparison of the tsp tune with the rk tech head vs the tsp heads
I will do that test
Great video, and man ur boy can rip right along very well
Thanks
I just got the tune back for mine yesterday. I have Kelsey's head also. Tune works great with his head too.
I bet it does.
@@highlandcycles do you plan on trying the rktek head with the tsp tune? I'm curious if it's worth me buying the tsp head as well.
@@palcolandcattle4259 yes I am
Morgan had a bikegasm!
Yep!!
Once you made the change on your rear suspension you were a completely different rider.
Your son is a bullet! He's getting so good so fast.
I love TSP and the low compression head! (Hard enduro)
Was that a 2019 chasis from Bibs? I heard those are great handling frames.
Yep. It’s a 19
I have been waiting for tuners to come up with better mapping. I can tell from your clips that your engine is running better and the del saggios are even better than the 6500s. DOUBLE BRAP ON THAT MORGIE!
Oh yeah
I just ordered the same set up for my TX 300.
I’m looking forward to having as much fun as you guys.
I also have a 23 TX300. How do you like the TSP setup on it now ?😊
Absolutly incredible!!!!!
I'm a track fairy down in the same state as TSP. Thought the TBi's were going to put dave out of the mapping business, but not the case. Bike has a very "just runs right" sound to it.
Fun video, awesome trails. Curious how you feel this set up is compared to the XC-W trim version of the bike now.
I like it better. I really like the hot map with the XC. Not all the time of course but I like it when I want it. I would like to do this setup on the W and see if it ends up with the same power. If so, that might be the ultimate weapon. I like PDS for the gnarly stuff.
Ewen doesn’t seem so easy to keep up with these days Morgan he’s flying👍👍
Yep
Put kelseys head on with the tsp tune. I did it on my TM and it's awesome.
I’ll be testing that
I had my TPI 250's ECU tuned to get it off the factory's stock map. The bike runs get and has more power than I can use so I didn't bother with a head.
I hear ya. For up here and up to 12K it’s nice
I like how the bike sounds no bobble or clean out from idle.
Yep
Were you running the 6/14 map update prior to the TSP tune? Did you see any reduction in spooge with the TSP setup? Great review by the way!
I was running that. Still spooges
Great video and info, Are you still running a clutch weight?
Yes I am! I really like it on this bike.
Your channel ROCKS!!! Watching your son's rear suspension though, it appears it's too stiff. Would you agree?
Yeah. He doesn’t weigh enough for the springs. But he’s growing like crazy so I’m waiting
High compression is a very good mod if you ride at high elevation.
At sea level, you might need race gas, but at 5,000’, maybe pump 92
Yeah.
I am anxiously awaiting the ERM from TSP for the 2024 XCW
Me too!
Sometimes technology isn't evil...good stuff! 😜That's a trail I'd definitely like to ride.
So much goodness
Hey Morgan, Just bought this kit for my 24 XC 300. Went with the high comp head and doing the trail tune. What plug are you running? are you using the 8E that was supplied or the 7E?

Great vid and review. Please don't take this the wrong way but since there were no arrows on those trees I'd recommend not putting your son in front of you. Kids simply don't have the experience of dealing with oncoming traffic. Had a friend lose his 15 year old son by someone Arkansas Dave's size coming the other way going for his PR. Keep it safe but have fun,
I hear ya.
Arrows on the trees?? Lol the west doesn’t have signs on single track. I’ve never seen an arrow on a tree in years
It's called an organized event, like an enduro. They put arrows on the trees so everyone goes the same direction. Really?@@josephflaherty3918
I’m debating on getting the tune cuz I already have Rk tek head, tune with med or low comp head, or injector relocation kit just can’t decide
I hear ya. The tune is amazing!!
They do the ERM now, which allows you to do your own tuning off their base tunes, but the base tune smoothes out the sputter the factory tune has, and inproves throttle response. The relocation kit gives it more bottom end pull and gives some of the 2 stroke rush back. Also allowing you to run premix. Worth it
Is the white map similar at all to the stock map? Is it way less sploogy off the bottom with this kit?
It’s better than the stock white map and yes it’s much cleaner
Where are you guys Riding! Looks Amazing’

@@highlandcycles just bought my first New 2stroke Ever. 2023 Te300i HE. Planning on Making quite a few Changes and been Binge Watching Tsp Power Kit videos and Yours is the Best so Far ! Seems like you are in Favor . I have only Sat on this Bike and Probably wont get it Broke in before December . Would you Recommend Changing Stock Pipe and Silencer with this Kit ?
TSP Tune with the High COMP-res-ion head~!!!!!
The Rekluse Radius CX autoclutch prevents 450F’s from flaming out on the trails and is a must-mod.
I am not a big fan of Auto Clutches but if I were forced to ride a 450 I would probably get one.
Not sure if it's a 450 thing but I never have flameout with my 17 350xcf. No Rekluse needed.
@@christobey4198 450’s are way worse
I ride a YZ450F in the woods and it used to stall every 5 minutes or so. And, I’ve ridden for 50 years. Increasing the idle helps. But, the Radius CX is great.
@@christobey4198I think motocross four stroke models are much more likely to flame out than woods models.
I haven't gotten the map update on my 23 TX yet. Is that necessary with TSP kit, does their ECU tune replace that mapping? Thanks.
There’s a map update? What does it do?
Yes there is a map update. It helps clean it up on the bottom and helps with some ghost codes that are popping up. It is unnecessary with the TSP map
Did you keep the air forks on your xc 2023?
No. I run 6500 kit
Cleaning up the bottom end should eliminate the spooge, Tru?
At least help
@@highlandcycles did u have any?
@@nightrider4370 before? Yeah. After. A little
👍
Does the bike run cooler with the tsp billet head?
I am sure it does but I haven’t tested it specifically
What's your sprocket sizes?
13/52 right now
excessive spooge after the TSP/ECU mod ?
Still spooge but not as bad as
@@highlandcycles thanks much.... Great channel btw...
Put the RK head on it I bet you wouldn't notice a difference it's all in the tune.
I thought that too. But the RK head is way more aggressive. The tune is the biggest part but the head does change it
I know you talk about the 6500 kit being worth the upgrade, But I have a 6500 kit in my 2022 300 xc, and it feels no where near as good as stock yamaha kyb sss forks. What gives??
Who tuned it for you?
Ride JBI
@@JacobYoces Did they tune and spring it for You? The 6500 in my 23 XC 300 came stock as an MX kit. There was no trail/ enduro version. The tuner did some valving plus springs for woods to make it sweet. On the 2017 500 the 6500 Explore pro version needed only springs for my weight. He said later WP sells the Exact (MX) and Pro (enduro?) kit for the 500, not the 300 XC.
@donpizzo8963 they did both. Actually I had them do it twice because the first set up they did was too stiff. The set up I have now is definitely plush enough in some cases, but I feel like it beats me up compared to stock yz250 forks. Those felt soft and plush on top, and they just roll over little rocks and chop, then they are stiff enough to pick up the pace on the rough trails. My forks feedback every little rock and quick bump into my bars, no matter what I do to the clickers
@@JacobYoces that is odd. Mine don’t do that
Its the ECU tune
Agree
Over the past 3-4 months I’ve ran the trail tune with tx300 stock motor, tune with hi comp and med comp, factory maps with hi comp and med comp , all make a big difference. But nothing compares to the head and TSP tune together. It’s So good with the high comp head 👌
@@darrenh4045 I agree
That one dude liked his own husky better.
Sounds very crisp! Where are goys riding out of Montrose?
Yep. Uncompahgre plateau
