You just remind of myself, I recently retired, When I was your age about 30some years ago I used to do a lot of walking adventures walk long ways by myself and people used to say to me same thing "to take a ride", but I just walk, I did this in so many countries including Cairo walked to places where no one walk to, I guess if you were there 30 years ago I would've formed a duo with you in these walk adventures and could have been fun to do, I still do long walks but in my area, no travel for me in this troubled world, travel used to be fun 3 decades ago not now.

Yeah I love just wandering, it's the best way to explore new countries, cities, places. That sucks to hear you don't think travel is fun anymore though. 30 years ago I was just 5, so I wasn't traveling then. But I do love it now, and there's so many more countries around the world I want to explore. I would love to go back to India again, and Nepal. I want to explore more of the Middle East and Africa, and a thousand other places. It's a big wide world full of troubles you are right, but also amazing and beautiful places and people. Thanks so much for watching 😊🙏

Egyptians who have never been to this neighborhood warned me about it and told me it's not safe, but I have been here many times and have only encountered friendliness, warmth and hospitality from the people here. Yes ❤️ I agree. And there is a way to function as well. Smile, smile, smile. Speak! Making connections with people goes a long way too. Maybe you don't know much Arabic, or maybe you're fluent, i don't know. But a few words can go a long way. Even if you ask "English?(ing-gleh-zee)?" And nobody knows. Learn how to say "sorry, i dont speak Arabic". All of these little phrases, when said with true intention and heart, means a lot.

Hmm, yes it's always dangerous for a woman alone, no matter where she is, it's just a sliding scale of how dangerous in each situation, and this neighborhood could be viewed on the higher end I guess. I didn't feel afraid because of the friendly people. It's just another place where people live, and their living conditions are worse than other neighborhoods, but why should I view them any differently or feel any more afraid than another neighborhood? They were very kind people that were happy to help, just like any other neighborhood of Cairo that I have been in.

Everyone is entitled to their opinion and I respect that. Thankfully, I don't always need to heed other peoples opinions or advice, however. I've been recommended not to go many places all over the world and ignoring that has given me some of the best, enlightening and interesting experiences of my life. I follow my intuition and if i get a bad feeling I leave. Maybe one day I'll be wrong and suffer the consequences. So far I'm happy I went there and the other places I've been not just in Egypt but India, Vietnam, etc. People tell tourists not to go to the Bronx in NYC, i lived there. People in US told me not to go to Egypt at all. This was also my 3rd or 4th time in Manshayit Naser, I've never had any problems (unless you count a group of children following me and my friend wanting to say hello and ask us our names 😅). I don't think me going to Manshayit Naser was courage, but other people may have that opinion, just like you have yours. I appreciate your concern but I solo travel the world as a woman and there are always risks, but if you walk around afraid you miss many different experiences.
