    How do I remove the inside half of the cartridge? My plumber installed it upside down and the hot water comes out first

    • @moenfaucets
      @moenfaucets  2 года назад +1

      Hello a1510n. The Moen M-Core valve operates by lifting the handle and the handle rotating to the left for hot and the right for cold water. According to your description of what you are experiencing, you may have the Moen Posi-Temp valve, where the handle rotates only. The off position would be at the 6 o’clock position and you would rotate the handle counter clockwise starting with the cold water. The cartridge would need to be removed and re-installed with the “H&C” tab 180 degrees from the original installation. You can contact Moen directly for assistance in identifying the model installed and for further details in re-installing the cartridge.

    I have a BRAND NEW M Core shower valve. The blue core leaks out the steam of the valve. Tried to remove and re-insert it. All O rings and gaskets are fine. No grime or scaling in a brand new valve housing.
    Did I say BRAND NEW just installed?
    Leaks all the time, even with the shower shut off.
    Also, the hand shower outlet (A725 BN) has no gasket? WHY? How do you keep water from running down the wall and out the fitting and into/onto the drywall? What were you thinking here? LET alone trying to get the nipple to fit EXACTLY to the proper length. Need the engineer that designed the complicated cores need to design a better fitting.

    On the transfer valve I was wondering if it matters weather i cap the #2 or #3 port. I’d like the shower wand on the left side rather than the right.

      Hello and thank you for your interest in the Moen M-Core transfer valve. Moen M-Core transfer valves have been designed, manufactured and tested that if you are only using 2 of the 3 available outlets/ports, you will cap Port #3. We suggest using Port #1 for the primary showerhead, Port #2 for the handshower and capping Port #3.
      We recommend using Port #2 for your handshower and doing the plumbing/piping behind the shower wall to install the handshower on the left side of the transfer valve.
      If you need any additional assistance with the design of your new showering system, please contact us directly at 1-800-289-6636. Moen product specialists are available Monday through Friday from 8:00 am - 7:00 pm Eastern Time.

    I’m a master plumber for over 24 years. These valves suck I don’t know why moen would change there design. Moen is my go to brand but after these pieces of shit came out I ovoid them. I use omens old posi temp valves. Moen stick with old design. Who ever ur designers are give them a push broom because these are shit.
