Thing (the hand) is not CGI it is a real person doing 99% of it, the CGI is used to remove the person and arm
Raul Julia was dying from cancer, not a heart attack. He did his final films specifically to help support his family after his death. He knew for years he was dying and was in pain for several years leading up to his death. It’s visible in Street Fighter that he was living on borrowed time.
Christina Ricci, who played Ms Thornhill but also Wednesday from the films in the early 90's, said she gave no tips to Jenna Ortega and allowed her to develop her own version of Wednesday.
Jenna actually did fencing training (in addition to the cello, archery, and canoeing). Pretty crazy what prep she did for the role.

Thing isn't CGI, actually. he's mostly an actual hand actor with a greenscreen outfit etc. there are some scenes where he is CGI but not many.

I know I'm a little late but I wanted to touch on the Luis Guzman casting. There was some backlash because people consider Raul Julia the original, but, The Adams Family was originally a series of comics in a newspaper, and Luis Guzman was cast to match that, not the movies.
For anyone sensitive reading this, it wasn't an anti Raul comment but a simple fyi for those that didn't know. Both Raul and Luis are amazing imo

Wednesday is netflix's #1 english language show. Its #2 overall behind Squid Game.
This show is its own universe. Its not a continuation of the movies though it does share some traits. The charcters are more closely based on the 1930s comic strip depictions.
Yes Wednesday is a psychic or a seer. Her powers are only beginning to Manifest in the show.
Thing was actually a hand actor. His name is Victor. They only used CGI when they couldn't use him. Thing is 90% a real hand.
Her shoes are designer. The sneakers are by Naked Wolfe, I have a few pair actually. Her black dress shoes are from Prada and $2000! Later on she wears a pair of Valentino heels, again 2 grand.

This show is so good, it's alot of fun, abd Jenna absolutely kills it as Wednesday.

Jenna Ortega is amazing as Wednesday and I’m really looking forward to Season 2. This is actually how Gomez looked in the original 1930’s comic strip. Tim Burton was an executive producer and directed the first 4 episodes but the actual show runners are the duo who created Smallville for the WB/CW.
this wednesday and the 90s wednesday, are completely different, almost completely different people so i don't want you to look at it as its the same Wednesday just grown up, i mean she has powers in this one so it's like a completely different show. The two shows aren't related in any way other than it being the addams family.

Hogwarts is Hogwarts. Good grief. So tired of reviewers making all the false (read: stupid} associations between Wednesday and Harry Potter. Can we just enjoy each story for what it is?? I think both are excellent in their own right. Highly doubtful Wednesday was produced with Harry Potter in mind.
