Yes, watch all of them! Some are more serious than others granted but it's a fun ride, and there's also the Chucky series which is pretty solid. Chucky is also supernatural that's why he retains his man strength, not easy to kill and well aways comes back due to the power of Damballa it gets even more supernatural over time once you guys continue you'll see hehe ;)
Don’t worry about the timelines. The whole franchise happens in the same timeline and it’s all one big storyline. It’s not like Halloween with many timelines
@@theworldisimmense True Childs Play series is one of the few franchises snd horror slashers to have one main continuity, the 2019 remake A.I. Child's Play being its own thing

Yea chucky and freddy are my favorite slashers as their personalities add so much to the movie, its not just a mindless killer, they are actual characters who enjoy killing.
Yep! That was played by Ed Gale. He doubled as Chucky throughout this movie. However last year. Ed Gale was caught trying to meet up with a 14 year old boy in a sting operation. He even admitted to it and others as well.
They used CGI for 1 scene, over 7 movies that's impressive. (there's a child's play remake with a Chucky CGI but it's not with the ogs behind the franchise, it doesn't connect with the rest of the franchise as such)

The great thing about this franchise is it’s been just the one guy’s baby for 35 years now, and every bit of it is still completely in canon, even the less popular stuff, which he keeps bringing back in unexpected ways.
Chucky was after Andy for the first 3 movies then there was a break in the movies and came back with “Bride of Chucky” which is so good! The Chucky TV series on SYFY is in its third season now and brings back a lot of characters from the movies including Andy. It is currently in a mid season break.
Awesome reaction from u guys! Gotta say Dourif excels as the voice of chucky, and provides some much needed wit into the film, because to be fair, it wouldn't work without the wit.

i checked out an interview of the director when he did one of the chucky movies, he said that when he made the first Child's Play movie he originally intended for it to be that we only see the low POV shots of the killer and the kid would keep saying that Chucky is speaking to him and Chucky is walking around and Chucky is doing things and killing people and the Adults just wouldnt believe him until we see those low POV shots, but in the end there was suppose to be a twist that THE KID, Andy was the killer this whole time. But the studio was so intrigued by the Killer Doll part of the story that they said to just make it about the Doll being the Killer ... when I watch this movie I can still notice the original scenes from where they shot the film to look like the child was the killer.
Such a classic horror movie. Its one of my favorite childhood movies and was the scariest when I was a kid. The wholr franchise is great except for 2 movies out of 7 or 8 total 😂 Great reaction tho yall❤

The movie that started it all. I remembered being scared of Chucky when I was young. Used to own a VHS bootleg copy of part 2 and watched it all the time back in the day. I always thought it was interesting that a serial killer possessed a doll and be out here killing folks lol. Mind you, some people get this part very mixed up. Chucky or Charles is NOT a satanist and doesn't believe in that. He is a believer in voodoo. He was taught the spells under his mentor. Like Freddy, Chucky knows when to make you laugh and knows when to scare the shit out of you. Hope you guys continue the series. It is a wild ride!

Thank you for reacting to the OG Child’s Play!!!!! The film that started the Chucky franchise and in contrast to the sequels, TV series and “remake”, Child’s Play 1988 continues to stand out as a pure supernatural psychological horror flick. This film should’ve had a better sequel - exploring Chucky’s past, his journey into voodoo and even killing real actual bad guys for a change! Or copy Halloween 2 1981 and kill horny and drunk hospital staff while pursuing Andy Barclay, his mum and officer Mike Norris! P.S. the Child’s Play theme tune continues to stand out - signifies Andy Barclay having his entire innocence lost and life changed forever.
When i was 7 I was channel surfing and I stumbled upon the shot of the burnt, melted Chucky marching forwards with a knife raised over his head. I had no idea it was a doll and thought it was some demon child that was melting and burning. That shot scarred me for life. Edit: watch the Chucky show after the movies. It's the best Chucky thing since chucky 2 imo.
Soon to be turning 35 years old on November 9th, this year. Way back when studios were trying to make that next, new horror character. Child's Play was one of the most creative concepts of the era. You should definitely watch all the movies, they get kinda silly and weird but they’re my favorite. Then there is the chucky show, that’s really good too, takes place after the 7 movies. Reboot is in its own universe
YES!! LOVE THIS MOVIE! I was scared of this movie when I saw it on HBO back in the 90's, I was 3-4 years old, my dad recorded this on a VHS tape with BATMAN 89 and GHOSTBUSTERS 2. Originally, Steven Spielberg was going to direct the film for United Artists, until he picked Tom Holland after he saw FRIGHT NIGHT. Spielberg was impressed at how Holland can create a sense of dread. William Friedkin, Robert Wise, Robert Altman, Irvin Kershner, Joseph Reuben, Howard Franklin, Rocky Morton and Annabelle Jenkell were considered.
Imagine growing up in this era and having a My Buddy doll which looks exactly like chunky 🤣🤣🤣🤣 Kid sister didn’t help either. I remember which one came out first the doll or the movie but I was traumatized either way 😂😂😂😂😂
Just so you know…. The Halloween series has 4 different storylines. 1. H1 and H2 2. H1, H2, H4, H5, H6 3. H1, H2, H H20, H Resurrection 4. H1, H 2018, H Kills, H Ends The Halloween series originally meant to be a anthology which is why Halloween 3 is a different story. But when H3 was released they realized people wanted more Michael Myers. Also it’s 2 complete remakes by a director named Rob Zombie who came out with H 2007 and H2 2009.
The remake is a different take on Chucky, it plays on technology and smart homes. Also Mark Hamill does the voice of Chucky, and surprisingly still a lot of practical effects.
Although I like Chucky The mother actually sold the Movie for me her acting made me feel everything she was going through…the moment she realized the batteries weren’t inside the Doll always gave me chills…she nailed that part fr
Yeah, they used mostly an actual animatronic Chucky doll in this film. Some shots puppetry was used and a few shots it was a little person in costume filmed on an enlarged set.
Child’s play is the only horror franchise that has one timeline (minus the remake which was made without the creator Don Mancini) The tv show is so good too!
It's so funny to watch the reaction of adults watching these classics for the first time. Imagine watching these movies under 10 y/o... The 80's movie genre was horrible crazy
Hey, all, new subbie here. Great video. Cool reaction. I'll be checking out more. I just wanted to say one thing about this movie. Did y'all know it was sorta loosely based on true events? It happened back in the 70's. This movie is set in the 80's when it was released but the true events it's based on happened in the 70's. There was this sick guy who lived somewhere in New York. There was this doll craze. I can't remember which doll it was and it wasn't a little boy. It was a little girl who got the doll. Anyway, this sick guy put a transmitter/receiver inside one of those dolls and this little girl got it. Her parents actually bought it from a store so it didn't go quite exactly like the movie. So, after that little girl got the doll, that dude started talking to her through that doll. He convinced her that he was an angel sent by her grandma or something like that. You how sick, twisted mofo's are. They'll say anything. The little girl also tried telling her parents but that guy would never say anything in front of adults because, of course, if an adult heard that, they'd tear it open to see what's going on. So, he'd only say things to the little girl. Then, one day, he convinced her to get on a subway like Chuckie did to Andy. Okay, this was a subway. In New York. A little girl. Alone. That's scary. And naturally, when she got to where the doll was telling her to go, well, you know what happened after that. But you know what? I'm just kidding. None of this happened but that would be crazy, right? lmfao 🤣🤣🤣 Did I have you going there? lol Were you thinking to yourself, "Holy sh*t. Did this really happen?" ha ha ha Were you about to Google it? 😆😆😆
Fun fact: Catherine Hicks who played Andy's mom and Kevin Yagher who made the Chucky dolls and animatronic Chucky puppets met on set of this movie, fell in love and got married. They are still married today. Also, they used a little person by the name of Ed Gale to double for Chucky, such when he was running around on fire. They did use Alex Vincent's (The boy who played Andy) little sister as Chucky for the very first scene when you see Chucky running by really quick before Chucky kills the babysitter.
This movie was a first fir me with two things: 1. It was the first movie where a person fell from a great height onto a car. Now almost all falls end in cars. Even an asteroid hit a car in Armageddon. 2. It introduced me to a Chicago with almost no Black people in it. It was glaring. I noticed after this movie that blacks were very often missing in movies except where there was a danger of crime. It eased up later, but even today, if you see a black person kiss another person, that person is not likely to be black. It's almost a formula with Denzel Washington. He doesn't do love stories, but his movies also don't do black women.
Chucky for me is the most out there and fun to watch slasher franchises you’ll love it bro watch all of them there’s for me one bad one but it’s great overall
33:07 the thing alot of people miss is that people panic in life or death situations and don't think of the rational solution, also she was probably going for the heart earlier and kept missing since she has no experience with a firearm
The Child's Play Universe in which it's evolved so much you may as well call it that has gone through movies has a series and you can even be Chucky in Dead By Daylight. No one can do Chucky better than Brad Doriff. Brad Doriff has respectively said that without Chucky he probably would have never been known. For almost 40 years of his he has voiced him. Even his daughter has a role in this universe.
FUN FACTS: The actor who plays Chucky is also the betrayer character in the second Lord of the Rings movie who was at Rohan and then returned to Sauraman's castle. The actor who played the detective not only played in The Princess Bride, he was also the vampire from the 80's cult classic FRIGHT NIGHT. I know it might be too late because you may have your horror list set up but Fright Night is a good movie. I also suggest some mystery thrillers: The Reaping (Hilary Swank and Idris Elba), The Devil's Advocate (Keanu Reeves, Al Pacino and Charlize Theron) and Mindhunters ft. LL Cool J, Val Kilmer and Christian Slater.
Chucky was my worst childhood nightmare . I'd have terrible dreams about him chasing me withe nice all the time While i'm running in slowmo and cannot scream
I hope you guys do the whole franchise +the show that takes place after the last chucky movie (cult of chucky) the 2nd child’s play is personally my favorite Chucky movie the 2019 chucky movie is a reboot but love your guys reaction
I think I was 10 or 11 when i first watched this movie back in the early 90s and it scared me to death as a kid that i couldn't finish watching it, i was at a friends house and asked to go home.
Hey Primate, great choice and reaction to a new franchise you haven't seen yet! Did you know the name Charles Lee Ray is a mesh-up of real criminals Charles Manson, Lee Harvey Oswald and James Earl Ray? Also when Charles Lee Ray does the chant to transfer his soul into the good guy doll he's conjuring a Haitian Voodoo god, the mighty Damballa ! So when you're thinking how is anyone struggling to fight a doll you need to remember Chucky gets his strength from Damballa. Anyway, I hope you both continue the franchise and the tv show is also connected to the movies so please watch the movies first. And the tv show in my opinion has more graphic and bloodier kills. The 2019 Child's Play movie was to be both a reboot and remake but they never continued. It was a good movie but completely different from this franchise.
nah Chucky is 1 timeline, theres Childs Play trilogy, Chucky movies and even the Chucky Series is all the same timeline. except for the 2019 Chucky, thats just a modern sci fi remake of the first Childs Play movie, that tried to be its own franchise but THIS childsplay and chucky thing is one whole timeline of just that
It's not practical effects, it's an actual actor in certain parts of the movie. Chucky in the makeup was Ed Gale, same dude who played Howard the Duck. That's why when he has the knife and walking toward him, he looks bigger.
33:13 Keep in mind that she was TRYING to shoot the heart in her previous shots but, not being a cop, her aim isn't as good as Mike when it comes to guns.
if you pause the movie at the right frame in the ending scene where chucky stabs the officers leg after he bites andys mom and then the scene where chucky is in the fireplace you can see chucky as this fat face costume being worn by someone😂😂i always found it funny lol but great movie
I watched this movie back in 2006 when I was twelve years old. That was seventeen years ago and I'm 29 now. Where the hell have you guys been to only be watching this NOW!!!
I remember which one came out first the doll or the movie but I was traumatized either way 😂😂😂😂😂
Fun fact: They used up to 8 or 9 (if I'm remembering correctly) different animatronics and an actor for Chucky during production of this!
Just so you know…. The Halloween series has 4 different storylines.
1. H1 and H2
2. H1, H2, H4, H5, H6
3. H1, H2, H H20, H Resurrection
4. H1, H 2018, H Kills, H Ends
The Halloween series originally meant to be a anthology which is why Halloween 3 is a different story.
You guys have to watch part 2 🔥
Although I like Chucky The mother actually sold the Movie for me her acting made me feel everything she was going through…the moment she realized the batteries weren’t inside the Doll always gave me chills…she nailed that part fr
You should totally watch the franchise including the new tv series!
Hell yes! You have to continue the franchise the next few are great in my opinion! The last few arent as great but are worth a watch!
I wanted to see your reaction to the kid crying. He did such an amazing job.
I hope you react to the entire Chucky franchise including the TV series I think you'll enjoy it very much. 😁
You guys should definitely watch Child's Play 2.
Yeah, they used mostly an actual animatronic Chucky doll in this film. Some shots puppetry was used and a few shots it was a little person in costume filmed on an enlarged set.
I remember I used to be scared shitless of this movie and series as a kid lol
Child’s play is the only horror franchise that has one timeline (minus the remake which was made without the creator Don Mancini) The tv show is so good too!
It's so funny to watch the reaction of adults watching these classics for the first time. Imagine watching these movies under 10 y/o... The 80's movie genre was horrible crazy
Chucky is a menace.
100% lol
None of this happened but that would be crazy, right? lmfao 🤣🤣🤣
Did I have you going there? lol Were you thinking to yourself, "Holy sh*t. Did this really happen?" ha ha ha Were you about to Google it? 😆😆😆
🤦♂️
I Think I Seen This But I Know Man Named Tony Garnder Who Made Animatronic Chucky and Recently Worked For Daft Punk's Helmets
This movie was a first fir me with two things:
You’ll love Bride of Chucky and Seed of Chucky; they’re more of a comedy slasher as well
Reaction to chucky saga
Childs play 1
Childs play 2
Childs play 3
Bride of chucky
Seed of chucky
Childs play (reboot)
Chucky TV show 3 seaskons
You forgot Curse and Cult!
Brad Dourif is the coolest.
Chucky for me is the most out there and fun to watch slasher franchises you’ll love it bro watch all of them there’s for me one bad one but it’s great overall
Hope you guys react to the sequels aswell they’re pretty good tbh love the content btw ❤️
2 goes up on patreon Friday!
Evil Conan O' Brian strikes again!!
Such a fun movie..
Great Reaction..
Chucky is finally here!!!!!
What’s crazy is Part 2 is even better
17:36 JACK MCGEE
33:07 the thing alot of people miss is that people panic in life or death situations and don't think of the rational solution, also she was probably going for the heart earlier and kept missing since she has no experience with a firearm
The Child's Play Universe in which it's evolved so much you may as well call it that has gone through movies has a series and you can even be Chucky in Dead By Daylight. No one can do Chucky better than Brad Doriff. Brad Doriff has respectively said that without Chucky he probably would have never been known. For almost 40 years of his he has voiced him. Even his daughter has a role in this universe.
the way this one ends is somewhat bittersweet for Andy because he loved that doll and he wanted him so bad and this is what transpired. Poor Andy
There's also a show.
The best part is when she threatens to throw him in the fire lol
Chucky was based of a real doll.
Why would he tell him where he has his own voodoo doll 😕
"He's gonna become it." How??? Lmfaooo
All of the Chucky movies and the TV show is all the same time line and are all a continuation.
Child’s play is the most consistent horror franchise right behind scream
@@jakepark9783I’d say CHUCKY is better than Scream.
@@ChuckyBoi88 facts both goat franchises ‼️
I hope you guys do the whole franchise +the show that takes place after the last chucky movie (cult of chucky) the 2nd child’s play is personally my favorite Chucky movie the 2019 chucky movie is a reboot but love your guys reaction
I think I was 10 or 11 when i first watched this movie back in the early 90s and it scared me to death as a kid that i couldn't finish watching it, i was at a friends house and asked to go home.
Andy grown up looks like 'Internet Comment Etiquette' Erik. Big money salvia.
It is practical effects, because most of the time they used animatronic chucky dolls, they were controlled by 9 people.
33:13 Keep in mind that she was TRYING to shoot the heart in her previous shots but, not being a cop, her aim isn't as good as Mike when it comes to guns.
After the third film they start to lean into the humor more which is fine and they’re good films but they get less and less “scary”.
if you pause the movie at the right frame in the ending scene where chucky stabs the officers leg after he bites andys mom and then the scene where chucky is in the fireplace you can see chucky as this fat face costume being worn by someone😂😂i always found it funny lol but great movie
I watched this movie back in 2006 when I was twelve years old. That was seventeen years ago and I'm 29 now. Where the hell have you guys been to only be watching this NOW!!! Someone my age range and older should have BEEN seen this movie especially if you're into horror like me. NO EXCUSE. Late birds.
FINALLYYYYY
second one even better hyped for dat
