The original creator of the comic strip about the Adams wanted to create a comic that was the complete oposite a real family. Thats why her parents are so in love and compleatly obsessed with each other, why they suport her in torturing her brother and why he is ok with it, even enjoys it. Why in the end they will always take care and be loyal to each other.
Jenna Ortega really is amazing. She was good in The Babysitter 2, she was the best part of Scream 5, she was great in X and now she killed it as Wednesday Addams. Her and Samara Weaving are the only 2 I'd consider modern day scream queens, maybe Mia Goth too, and I can't wait to see them together in Scream 6 next year.
what I like about the film is that it is filmed in Europe, more precisely in my country, Romania, and many scenes are filmed close to the famous Bran Castle (Dracula's Castle), where the myth of Dracula comes from, many scenes are filmed almost 30 miles from Dracula's Castle)

I went to Romania last year and just before I left I found out that this show was filmed there. I was a 30 minute walk from the greenhouse in Bucharest and an hour drive north to the castle they used for the exteriors of the school. It was amazing and beautiful over there!!! Saw Draculas castle as well!!!

My brother and I are 41 & 47. But we grew up watching all of the old shows at our grandma's house when we were dropped off in the mornings (our sister hasn't seen it yet). We also loved our generation's Wednesday. And we just enjoyed tf out of this fun ride. Even our 70+ yo dad was laughing sometimes. This hit all of the old stuff. BTW, did anyone think the old truck-driving lady who dropped off the first victim we saw...did anyone think she looked like the ghost trucker from Pee-Wee's Great Adventure?!?
i love this show, she did such an amazing job and she has to learn how to not blink so much. i’ve already finished the season, i can’t wait for the next season. favorite part in the whole season all i’m gonna say is the dancing part. i like xavier a lot, he’s not weird at all he tries to be nice, and if you noticed the teacher with the glasses she’s the real wednesday from the other one.
And that is so hard to do. Try it. Now imagine having to remember lines and blocking while carrying the character while doing this. Acting is a lot harder than people think it is.

Casting is great, but the series makes a few mistakes, like confusing the Pilgrims (Who stole no land, they moved into land the locals considered "Cursed", and had very good relations with the native tribes, due to their association with "Squanto", the last survivor of the tribe who used to live on the land they were moving into) with the Puritans of a century later (They were the "Witch burners", not the Pilgrims)
I'm watching this reaction right after watching the first two episodes and honestly I've never seen the Addams family or know anything about the Wednesday character but I watched this for Jenna Ortega and I'm loving it so far.

Yeah, she did one take without blinking and he liked it so much that he asked her to continue to not blink during scenes.
