Drew, first off, that is an awesome build you have there, Love it! I Received my Kiesel Carvin branded JB200C back in August of 2021 and i live in the North East USA, Brutal cold winters and hot humid summers and i still have not had to touch the truss rod for adjustment. I still can't believe it! The guitar arrived with perfect setup too. I haven't had to do anything except play it. I've had a lot of guitars over the years and still have a few, but none of them beat the quality of a Kiesel guitar. Also, i believe you can now save you build /s in the builder.
Love that guitar, dude! After playing it a couple times, I definitely feel like the slightly smaller frets are a pretty cool change-up from your other guitars, too.
great playing and great points. I just ordered a Vader 6 string and I'm excited, but a bit worried because so many people have issues with Kiesel's customer experience. No true custom shop treats customers the way their business does. Completely forgetting a $50 option, getting your specs wrong, going totally dark on comms, etc. are simply unacceptable behaviors you don't get with better led companies. . Couple things have changed since your vid: they did add a feature to save builds. they do offer a multi scale trem for 8 strings now on a few models
Thanks for the kind words, I agree their customer experience could be a lot better. I made this video so that it might help someone who is about to place an order so they hopefully don't run into the same issues I did. All that to say, I would probably stick to buying their instruments used, because you can get a much better deal and you'll probably find something very close to what you would order...or even better and less expensive than what they charge now. All that to say, if there was something specific I wanted from Kiesel, I would gladly order again. My thought is that if you're buying an instrument over 3k you should get better treatment than I did. Building communication check-ins with the customer would go a long way. And I'm not talking about changing anything part way through, that's ridiculous, I just mean letting the customer know where they're at in the build would add more excitement.
I thought it would be more of an issue but I have found that the difference is somewhat negligible. I thought it would be more drastic but the string tension feels great, currently I'm using D'addario 9-80. I do believe Kiesel offers multiscale with tremolos now, which they didn't a year ago, at least not on this model. Hope that helps.
It’s like what I always say. I love the instruments. But they’re really weird. There should be much more communication. At the point which your wood is selected and at a coupe points in the build process, they should be emailing you. Pics. Updates. There’s no reason not to. The owner is really good about putting his face on RUclips at least once a week. Maybe some of that effort on customer guitars would go a long way. But, what do I know. 🤷♂️
It actually was not available on this model at the time of order. I preferred having a trem on an 8 string over the multi-scale. I think Kiesel is offering multi-scale eight strings now though. That's how I would do it if I could do it all over again. So in short, getting a tremolo on an eight string was a higher priority than going multi-scale.
Great Specs. Classy build. I got two Kiesel's myself. Highly underrated guitars.
Thanks man! I love these guitars!

Love the content, love Allan Holdsworth LP hangings on your wall too 🤘🤘
Thanks dude! I found all of these together at a local record store, I was floored to find them.

I agree! Thanks for checking out the video Brandon!
What a cool guitar. Congrats!
Thanks Mark! I'm loving it. Do you still have the Canton, or did you end up finding a buyer for it?
@@DrewCreal I'm happy for ya bro. I did but then just ended up keeping it.
@@markjonesmusicpage that's a special guitar, I'm glad you're hanging on to it
That's a sweet axe!!!!
Thanks Jared!

I love my Kiesels. This one is sick!
Thanks a lot Michael, huge Kiesel fan here!
Im pretty sure with all that still weight less than my Les Paul
You can save the build and export a spec sheet from the guitar builder. Might have been updated since you used it last.
Thanks for letting me know Ryan!
What are thoughts on going from multiscale back to standard? Do you feel you are lacking anything? Any issues with scale length on the top or low end?
I thought it would be more of an issue but I have found that the difference is somewhat negligible. Curious as to how well the tremolo stays in tune
It stays in tune really well, towards the end of the video I dive the trem and play a few chords and it stays in tune.
Why did you decide against multi scale on this guitar? How is the intonation and tension?

@@DrewCreal they now have a multi scale trem for 8 strings. I just think Kiesel is a drag.
Bro I only have 6 strings
Feel lucky I only have 4
play some fucking holdsworth, bro. you're doing him a disservice
