I actually bought this kit back in early 2015 to use a base for an RG Build Strike. I never got around to starting that project. ...well, I suppose it was for the best 🤣
THis was my first RG kit and I've never seen anything like the legs. I was so afraid to bend the knee and I was so disappointed because I thought there was no ball joint at the ankle. I really didn't want to force it and accidentally break something but I couldn't believe that a RG wouldn't have an ankle pivot so I watched your review and I swear I love you for pointing that small fact out to me.
My first kit, it was fun, for me the loose part is the head. The jet pack looks good but I always detach it cuz its hard to pose with it without any stand.. Quite fragile when posing hard hehe
bought this and the sky grasper so I have all the optional weapon swaps needed for the Aile Strike. all in all the kit is perfect for RG starters and the detail presented with the RG series is refreshing for a kit this size.
I'm honestly stuck on either getting the RG or MG Agile Strike Gundam. I might get the RG and keep the backpack off it. Then have a MG with the backpack for display. I'm waiting for a price revel on the MGEX Strike Gundam because that might find it's way into my shopping cart.
Since the Aile striker pack is quite loose on this kit I just forego attaching it altogether and just pose it with the Grand Slam sword (from the April 2012 issue of Hobby Japan).
Got this 2 days ago as my first kit ^-^ Good way to pass the evening. My only regret is not buying side cutters as getting the parts off the runners with the hobby knife was more difficult that I would've expected.

Hi type v3, are you from ph? I saw you get your kits at HLJ, i used to years ago but suddenly they put it on hold at customs for taxation which never happened to me. After that I never ordered there again, seeing your orders coming from a huge HLJ box, do they still tax you? I heard they moved up the treshold to 10k this time. Thanks!
Too bad the Armor Schneider gimmick couldn't be place on the HG Revive version, but a High Grade could do so much. Great review, and Type V3 would you consider reviewing the HG Gundam Flauros?
I actually bought the HG remastered versions of Blits/Duel/Aegis/Buster since they were cheap to take advantage of a giveaway and even though they are old (and the stickers are meh) I actually liked them a lot and now I ll buy the RG strike and RG skygrasper. I ll be getting the rest of the seed gundams too since they aren't so many (and expensive) EDIT: I kinda want to find a way to make the perfect RG strike (without ruining the parts) If you have any suggestions I d be happy to listen

I know this video was posted years ago but all this quarantine business has me getting restless and I wanted to pick up a new hobby. Gundam Seed and Seed Destiny are my favorites, probably because they were my first and only for the longest time before I discovered how to watch things online so this model really appeals to me. I read that if I am just getting into Gunpla that I should start with the easiest grade and the only experience with model building was a short time doing planes and cars with my dad so I might be jumping into the deep end with this. Any thoughts?
The Aile Strike was my first RG and unfortunately i didnt have a stand for it. Its taken so many stage dives i now cant display it as the V-Fin is broken and the backpacks has all but imploded. My MG Sword Impulse did the same. Oh well, lesson learned.
that music makes me want to binge watch seed again... Still one of my favorite gundam series if only for the design of the suits. And just saying i don't like the astray at all.
Damn wish I saw this review first. It is very loose and can’t get it stand upright with the jet pack on. Might have to apply super glue trick to make some joints stiffer.
takei ryuu If you're a beginner get the HG. If you want something more detailed and complex get the RG. Be warned, RG model kits will have a large amount of parts and many small parts.
Maaaaaaannnnnn WTF Bandai haven' t done a RG Strike Noir, Buster, Blitz and Dual gundams yet? 😑 They give us a RG Build Strike FP before any of the ones I named.
The kit itself will be easy to tighten the joints. However I have one worry, and that is the hands. Does anyone know if the hands get as bad as the RG RX-78-2? Or is it better? And if it's the case anyone also know where I can buy better hands for RG's?
I don't really like how the head for the RG strike is like the old MG Strike... wish they did it using the MG Strike Remastered style... all other things about this kit is good though... the head just looks dopey...
I don't like the vents on RG Strike's mouthpiece which also appiled to RG Freedom. But overall, RG Strike's head is a good representation of the original anime design, just like the old MG. I like it when a kit respects the original design and only making structural improvement. Unlike the newer MG Strike, Freedom & (the upcoming) Providence that took too much liberties with an already good design (not a flawed design like RX-78-2). If I want a cool departure of the original design, I'll just buy the Metal Builds or the 3rd party kits of the MBs. Also, the proportion of RGs from SEED line is always off. Compare the HGCE of Strike, Freedom & Strike Freedom with their RG counterparts and you'll see what I mean. So far, the only aspect worth owning from SEED RGs are their Deactivated versions. Those are the ones I collect because I can't get the combination of grayscale+details anywhere else.
androyus that is preference though //:) .... as for the MG Strike Remastered, I believe this was created so that it will fit into the newer MG designs implemented in the other GAT X Machines... trust me (or is it just me? ha.ha.ha)... the old MG looks out of place with the others unless its the RM Strike and I pretty much like the details and proportions of the new MG strike but yeah who doesn't love an anime accurate depiction of the kit... It comes down to preference though... as for me I really like the new aesthetics and engineering, and updated sculpts of the new MG Strike... and yes I agree with you on the face vents of the RG... anyway what I did to my RG kit was to kitbash it with the HGCE strike which has the Strike RM's head aesthetics.. XD
Yep, all the new GAT-X MGs (+ Strike RM) are complete redesign of the original anime. Some parts are even complete overhaul that hardly recognizable from the original (eg. Blitz' shoulders & parts of Duel's Assault Shroud). That makes me appreciate the 1/100 kits of Aegis, Blitz, Duel & Buster for being anime-accurate so much more. I own and like all the GAT-X MGs, but I still keep the old 1/100 kits for posing with the old Strike MG because they look good together as the anime-accurate representation that the new MGs can never replace.
Z-2552 The RG Sinanju is the most ambitious RG kit yet. As Vince said, it's just Bandai flexing their muscles. If they do make a Kshatriya, it'll be huge and fucking expensive
No. The Skygrasper kit will allow building either a Sword Strike or Launcher Strike though. The Perfect Strike though has a modified Aile Striker pack - 4 extra batteries, holders for the Antiship sword and beam cannon, as well as recessed wings. This will likely go the P-Bandai route :(

if you have done normal model kits gunpla should be really easy unless your bad with small parts
