If you don’t like the winter, get a book. Read, pray, reflect, take a course. That’s the beauty of winter: it makes you look inward and know yourself.
For low to middle income viewers or even those who are affluent yet prefer to be prudent with their finances, know that North Idaho truly is a beautiful place; although it has it's ups and downs, a lot of the people genuinely are nice here, especially those who work at stores like our local Grocery Outlet or EntertainMart(be prepared to be welcomed with a "hello, welcome in"). know that you can still work/make a modest income and still make ends meet here(I rent here currently and make around $20,000 a year for a decent apartment in Northwestern Post Falls, and even though it's a wee bit financially tight for my cat and I at times, it's still doable). The housing market will most likely inevitably correct itself, just have to keep pushing through the storm, ya know? For me, it's definitely been home that has really helped me build myself from the ground up, and for now, I will continue going onward; thought I would share
Here's one people need to consider before moving here -- pine pollen. My allergies are much worse since I've live here then they every were in California.
I miss old CDA- so many people from CA & now EVERYWHERE else have changed it so much. I wonder if people realize if there are no decent jobs? Completely tourist industry. No manufacturers, etc. Unless you like retail & healthcare.
If you want to live in the PNW and want less harsh Winters, consider Seattle and Portland.
You guys answered all the questions I had. Very informative and to the point. Thank you. Love your channel keep up the great work.
To people planning on moving here; Leave your Liberal politics in the crap state you're leaving from. North Idaho is nice for a reason!
Yes thank you!
Yes please do we don’t want it here we like our peace
Will do. I promise. Voting Red. I hate being in a blue area with all of these crazies. I’m the only person in my immediate family who votes Conservative. My husband also votes Conservative.
AMEN!!
I lived in CDA for a year, and I completely agree with the dark thing. A joke in our family is that you’d start day drinking at 11am because it got dark at 4pm.
Thanks for all of your great information. I can tell already that the winters would do me in.
I used to live in Couer d'Alene and Athol 20 years ago. WE are in a florida now and hoping to move back up there this year cause we hate Florida. We are looking for 10 to 20 acres of land. Trying to decide and find what's available for either open land with nothing or something in our price range with some sort of small liveable house to get through till something better can be built. So that's our hurdle now is finding out forever home up there with what we want.
Boy, do I agree with you! I also lived in Florida- and get this: I am Cuban I was born there though I grew up in Chicago. As an adult I moved to Miami but could not take the endless summer and the humidity. And I could not stand the people! No we live in Utah but are looking to move to Montana or Idaho. I love that part of the country and we vote pro-life and aRepiUblican.
I live on 4th st and CDA Ave 2 blocks away from the lake and tubs Hill is awesome too hike
The dark comment - is it dark during the day in the winter, or does the sun come out? I am ok if it's sunny for at least the middle of the day, I don't mind dark at 4pm. The summers the sun stays out late right (that's what I heard). We are coming to Sandpoint to visit in August and I want to also come in the winter to snowboard.
How's it for family living? Is there much to do for kids? How are the people to new comers?
Be in town 6-16 for 3 days, hope to stop by the office
The Dock Side is awesome too goo eat out
What kind of work is out there?
How much average annual snowfall do you get there? I moved to Traverse City, Michigan in 2013, and that winter we had 13 feet (156 inches) of snow (mostly lake effect).
Typically only a coupla feet on the ground at once…these last few years have been weird and we haven’t gotten any snow til like mid January…I’ve lived in Cda my entire life
Why was that girl wearing a mask at home? Alone? Is she a ... (gasp) ... DEMOCRAT???
HAHA
Lol they always are.
Thanks for all the info! Love your videos.
My husband and I are looking to move there from Utah in 2023.
He is a broker and developer- do you think there is still plenty of room for more developers or is it already getting too saturated?
I am an artist, teach therapeutic intuitive painting, and spiritual healing. Is there a market for anything like that?
No stay in Utah
@@jaxonschillinger3261 bahaha ya that’s what we say to all the people flooding into our state as well 😜
