What I am wondering is if a Christian, extremely pro life/anti abortion, pro gun, pro freedom, guy from Canada would be welcome in Idaho. I grew up in the most untouched part of Canada, in Yellowknife Northwest Territories so I take care of nature better than anyone I know. If I go skeet shooting I even pick up the wadding. I don't litter at all, and when I go to lakes or rivers I always clean up any garbage and litter I find because I really care about the environment fish have because I fly fish and like to eat fish from clean safe water. I've even pulled Band-Aids out of lakes with my bare hands. I don't want a fish eating that. I really don't want to step on anyone's toes or make people uncomfortable. I just really want to live in a safe place where I know that my wife and son will be protected from all enemies foreign and domestic and if a cracked out meth head tries to do them harm and gets put down for embracing evil instead of good, the victim of the crime doesn't do the time for the criminals actions. @@markm8807 $300,000 is the proceeds of a mobile home in CALIF. Every CALIF homeowner can easily afford $500,000 or more in Idaho. This is why building a 12 or 24 unit apt building in Coeur D'Alene, is a good idea. Soon rents will be $1500 for one bedroom and $2300 for 2 bedroom. Of course, then it is 7 people living in them. But that is ok. 1200 square foot, older home in Santa Cruz is $1,200,000. Heck, those homeowners can buy 3 homes in CDA and rent out two.
You couldn't pay me to live there. My nephew and his wife just moved up there because their son and his family are there. What EVER motivated that son and his wife to move to northern Idaho almost two years ago is a mystery to me. The son can pretty much live anywhere in the US since he works from home, but his wife took a giant pay cut in a different field when she moved there. It would be about the LAST place I would ever move. It might be pretty up there, but there is literally nothing to do most of the year, the weather is terrible most of the year, and, frankly, the white power militia-type politics would be downright cringeworthy. Furthermore, Idaho's minimum wage is only the federal level, while Washington, Oregon, California, and Nevada's minimum wages are way higher. This makes Idaho in general and northern Idaho in particular very unaffordable. I give my nephew and his family five years max, and he will be sick of it.
The good news is lots of caravans are headed to Coeur D'Alene and that will make the area more diverse. There are flyers given to the caravans - go to Idaho - no border patrol.
"Cool, cool". This 'list' caters to rich people clearly. Pretty biased. #1 Reason not to move to North Idaho: It's a Conservative Mecha!! If you're liberal and looking for a flourishing liberal community that supports inclusivity in all it's amazing and wonderful forms, North Idaho isn't a place for you! People may not be outwardly Racist, but they definitely are inwardly! Xenophobia is North Idaho's middle name and ignorance reigns supreme in the 'former' home of the Aryan Nations. It's almost as if people mourn their demise so they honor them by keeping with that 'White Power' spirit.

People from Idaho needs to stop bashing out of state people.

Canada sucks.
In general , Americans believe that Canadians are such nice people.
People do this so others don't move there, I have seen this attitude in the people of MT and ID
It's because people move to a nice area they bring their parasitic way of thinking with them. Then they try to make this like the s******* they left

I will admit, your housing prices are scary.
STL has massive employment opportunity. Headquarters for some huge corporations are here. Tech and healthcare is booming. If you like cities/nightlife/sports/cuisine it is great.
Despite this, home prices are cheap. A nice house for $150K. A beautiful old victorian mansion for your median sale price ($420K) in Idaho!
I'm just gonna put a yurt on my land. Start a new life in Idaho, debt free with a nice chunk of savings to boot. Thanks, Mongolians.
Good luck in N Idaho 300,000 if you can find one
@@markm8807 $300,000 is the proceeds of a mobile home in CALIF. Every CALIF homeowner can easily afford $500,000 or more in Idaho. This is why building a 12 or 24 unit apt building in Coeur D'Alene, is a good idea. Soon rents will be $1500 for one bedroom and $2300 for 2 bedroom. Of course, then it is 7 people living in them. But that is ok.
1200 square foot, older home in Santa Cruz is $1,200,000. Heck, those homeowners can buy 3 homes in CDA and rent out two.
Hope it goes horrible for you.
I live in idaho and you should move here because I like the peace and quit but theres alot of harsh weather

The word is spreading south of the border, that there are no border patrol in Northern Idaho. i think large number of migrants will migrate to the region.
