Sketch to image on Samsung is insane. I took a photo of my 5 month old son and I, and added christmas hats using the Sketch to image. It worked perfectly, so I could send them to my mom for a little early Christmas card.
2:39 I have a Samsung and the ai photo editor can be dumb sometimes. If you look closely you can see you didn't select the face of the small building on the left. Therefore it tries to continue whatever it thinks is there.
For Samsung, you used Galaxy AI, but you had to use the Eraser because Galaxy AI only fills the image, and the Eraser erases the image. So, for the first one, it was better suited to use the eraser feature. I did the same thing with the picture that you did it with, and it erased the building in front of it.

@@noufiyamol7615 At Google, development doesn't stand still either. What good is a very fast function to me if the result is initially significantly worse for larger objects? In addition, with the Magic Editor, it is actually the case that three suggestions are made at the same time and you can choose the best result. I have really seen many, many comparisons, and in 80% of the cases the Magic Editor is better. At least currently, that's the state of affairs.

It is impressive how well the Apple clean up did, given that it runs on the Neural Engine ON THE DEVICE, not a farm of 4000000 4090 GPUs. Means you can use it offline on a plane etc, and it will only get better in the feature. Might not be the best right now, or ever, but is good enough, and the offline part is definitely a win for me.
Fr haha. The Google/Samsung AI are obviously impressive in their own right but this comparison video seems to misrepresent Apple’s on-device approach to AI. Apple is offering a very different product from the others and when compared to them in this way it just seems inferior.
It is interesting to note that the majority of Google AI features can be accessed on Samsung devices (and potentially other Android devices, as well as iOS devices, although I cannot confirm this with certainty) through the use of Google Photos.

What a fantastic video to watch, mate! This is one of the main reasons I use the Pixel 9. Even if you aren't a professional photographer, spending just a minute tweaking your photos with the magic editor can dramatically improve your results.
What about: * picture remastering *removing shadows *removing reflections *live effect *portrait studio... Are those not AI? Try to view things with a neutral eye

What is your point method? Samsung's Object eraser isn't quite right, but how did it get .5 point? And the last thing in the selection of the pixel was not correct. The output would be different if the selection had gone up last in pixel
Sometimes magic editor wont remove the selected object. Eg: overhead cables in the pictures. To fix it, instead of shading over the undesired object, i would zoom in and tap. that would autoselect the object. And then erasing works
Samsung has many on-device tools that show up when you swipe up a photo. The features available depend on the photo, but it works really well. Most underrated galaxy ai feature imo
You gotta use Eraser function for erasing rather than photo assisst. Samsung's got two very different functions: the eraser, which is quick and doesn't need much processing, and Samsung was the first to bring bring eraser ,even before google. The other function which is shown in this video is photo assist, which is more like generative fill.
The way apple does things in much faster way and without cloud processing makes us realize its potential. Their should be an option for deep edit feature that may take time but gives the best result. Bring it, Apple!
You will need to bring server-grade chip into iPhone to realize a proper local processing. What is the point? The cloud is the now and beyond. Apple is going the wrong way.

Yo just wanted to mention, I think for the Samsung using the AI button to do the erasure is actually just telling it to replace image not erase it, its a bit weird, if you want just erasure then click the edit pencil, go to the 4 dots option and hit object erasure tool, this will only erase object and not replace it
I mean the Pixel might be better, but they are all terrible right now. Anyone buying new phones for these AI features are just offering to be testing data at this point.
Great comparison as always. What would be interesting is a comparison of the latest iPhone 16 pro whatever with Apple photos vs an older iPhone 13 or 14pro with Google photos. The first image with samsung was because you used generate and not object erase! I used it from a screenshot of ur video on my s21 and it was onpar with what Iphone did.
I support Apple's approach. Local LLMs are the way to go as it doesn't rely on the Internet to do these simple tasks. For now, they are behind tho. They have an advantage in NPU performance so I'm sure they will catch up soon
I'm not sure if they really have an advantage at the MPU. At the moment, Apple's self-dictation function is slower and much more error-prone than Google's. When it comes to photo functions, it's more important to me that the quality is right, even if it's currently still in the cloud. Google's development doesn't stand still either.
On pixel phone u can still use in phone local addeting tols the it was released with the pixel 6. U got more options and even the magic eraser still work great and I use it to this day
I am using a google pixel and I love it but the button to open the magic editor never shows up so I can't use it fully. It only appears randomly sometimes. When I press where the button is supposed to be it vibrates just as if I clicked it but nothing happens...

For all people saying apple will catch up android AI feature in a few years, no they didn't. In fact Apple is planning not to give their user ANY Generative edits, so you will not find any of this generative edit in iPhone.
I had the s24 ultra great phone but right now i am using the 16 pro max and i am loving it. Always have liked their OS i never cared about the echosystem. Iphones are good phones that do the job right with fluidity.

Sketch to Image is the same as Reimagine though. Its not fair to give grade for that.
