    2019 Nissan Versa
    2019 Nissan Versa Expert Review
The 2019 Nissan Versa sedan represents an increasingly difficult-to-find creature: a safe, reliable and nicely equipped new car for under $13,500. The Versa is miserly with fuel, but not interior accommodations, and that includes its trunk. The base model is a bit Spartan but gets the job done. Rivals such as the Toyota Yaris iA, Kia Rio and Hyundai Accent all cost significantly more than the base Versa, although admittedly are also better equipped. Moving up the Versa trim ladder, however, quickly remedies this situation, offering options like cruise control and Intelligent Key remote with push-button start. Regardless of which trim you choose, power will be supplied by a 109-horsepower 4-cylinder engine not as peppy as a Kia Accent or Honda Fit, but still acceptable.
    Driving the 2019 Nissan Versa
The Nissan Versa has held the title of the "least expensive car in America" for over a decade. But in its all-new third generation, the Versa has relinquished its title and appears to be a better car for it. The 2020 Nissan Versa starts about $2,000 more than the model it replaces. But this price increase gets you a modern-looking, better-driving Versa with more standard features than the outgoing model.
The redesigned Versa sits 2.3 inches lower, is 1.8 inches wider and has a 1.6-inch-longer profile than the previous generation. Its styling bears a strong resemblance to its larger sibling, the Nissan Altima, which is a big step up for the subcompact. And while the price has increased, you're getting more features than before. Formerly top-trim-exclusive features such as power windows, power locks, and keyless entry with push-button start are now standard on the base S trim level.
The new non-turbocharged 1.6-liter engine makes 122 horsepower and 114 lb-ft of torque, an increase of 13 hp and 5 lb-ft over the old model. It's paired with a new continuously variable automatic transmission, as well. Those aren't huge bumps, but in a car like this every little bit helps, and the extra power comes with no fuel economy penalty.
Overall, these changes add up to a significantly better car than the one it replaces. The Versa is worth considering if you need a subcompact car with modern features but don't want to break the bank.
    Overview
The 2020 Nissan Versa is revitalized with a comprehensive makeover that has the previously subpar subcompact sedan looking like a value superstar. Along with a sleeker-looking exterior and a more upscale interior, the 2020 Versa sedan boasts driver assists such as adaptive cruise control and rear automated emergency braking that's currently not available on any of its rivals. Although the Nissan is no longer the cheapest new car sold in America, the Versa now has the style and substance to compete with the best subcompact cars on the market. Expedition Money LLC

I have a 2017 versa. I love it. Cheap to maintain, easy on gas. I get 27mpg around town. Simple analog gauges and controls. Sure it's not going to win any races but if you want a decent low cost car then I recommend it. The negatives....lack of storage, lots of plastic around the dash.

I have the exact car but it’s a 2018. I love my Versa, I highly recommend it if you’re looking for an affordable car. It’s fun to drive, very comfortable, and the backseat is surprisingly roomy for passengers. The trunk is also very large for a subcompact car.

This is the only car I've ever owned that I have to check if it's windy before going on the highway.

I have the 2019 base model with the manual transmission and ive had it for a year. I have a 308 a month payment, good on gas, reliable so far, i get 29 miles to the gallon(i floor it all the time), the plastic is hard thick plastic, roomy for a little car(big back seat 😉), trunk space is good, A/C. My only complaint is lack of power but it is what it is and when there are strong winds it moves side to side and rain makes it worse. This little car is a solid B Minus. The Kinda Car you wants if you dont wanna hurt your wallet, Drive Something New, & That Takes you From point A to Point B.

I totally agree. One thing that struck me was how open it felt inside despite being really small.

My brother bought a really basic version with roll windows and no key fob, it looks pretty damn cheap, but I suppose it’s a pretty good value for a college kid though

the S Plus model i have doesnt come with a keyfob (manual locks & windows) and for some bothersome reason, this car SUCKS if its windy outside. Not sure if it doesnt have sway bars or if its due to the fact its only 2400lbs, either way youre gonna get pushed around no matter what. Its a decent car but man i just wish i researched it first. Definitely taking mine back when my 6 months comes around
