What do you think of the new Versa? A good value with these features or not? I’ll try to get the updated 2020 Sentra later on 👍. *Thanks for watching and have a great day!*
Sorry to be off topic but does anybody know a trick to log back into an Instagram account..? I was stupid lost the password. I love any tips you can give me.
Very good review. I like your honesty and genuineness - someone we can trust. I like how you are creating your signature trademarks- water bottle, night drives, 5 likes/dislikes.
I agree I totally trust this man. I love to support and spread the word. It feels like a regular 1 man show doing honest work. It’s not easy driving and filming and then editing and posting when you don’t get lots of time with cars. He makes it look easy. I love the channel.
I don't know how you have your camera set up when you're driving the car, but I like it! I watch a lot of car review channels and they're always fixed so it's kind of cool that it moves around with you and you get that wide-angle first person view.
Thank you! I’ve got it strapped onto my head lol. I started doing it because of the channel called “the topher”. All of his videos are this POV style so check that out too!
@@PrimeAutotainment he’s a good guy too! So many car review channels but I’m subbed to you both and Raitis Rides, Alex on Autos, Redline Reviews, and Car Gurus. I like your style a lot tho!!
I really like the clean look of the back end. Since it's production, other than the first generation, I was always a fan of the sedan version of this car. The hatch was completely lost on me after it's re-design. Definitely like the look of this model. Good work, Nolan!
I agree with you. It can be hard to make a small car like this attractive without sacrificing interior space by making hood/trunk longer but they made it work! Thank you very much!
I think overall Nissan did a good job on this car. Especially for the money...Light years ahead of the older one which unfortunately I have driven once or twice. A sunroof and a rear armrest would be nice, but kudos for them including all the safety gear. Like other Nissan’s, my main gripe would be long term reliability.
Definitely, those old ones were something else lol. Yeah it’s sad that they’ve got that reputation now...I’ve heard way too many bad stories about failures way too early 😕
I’m guessing it’s the transmission your talking about the new ones are redesigned and the fluid needs changed ever 30k miles the old ones dies from lack of maintenance due on part to Nissan saying it was lifetime fluid or having excessively long intervals
Almost missed my notification! Great review... that Versa is a nice little, simple car. I like the features Nissan provides. I'm scared of the Nissan CVTs though. Keep up the awesome work!
Glad you’re here! Thank you very much! Definitely not bad for this class or a car but I’m with you on those transmissions...I’ve heard too many bad experiences 😕
Nissan built this car to a value proposition. Not great at any one thing, but checks alot of boxes for most people. Its important to note this is built to a practical and value price, so don't expect a hot rod, but expect great fuel economy and a touch of fun.
No cruise control but safety systems i think the same. In my country (Thailand) call Nissan Almera, I'm so much surprise with the price, Thank you for a nice review :)
Great review Nolan. Very detailed as usual :-) Sadly, yet another car we don't get in the UK. We do get a Nissan Micra 5 door hatch, which has a very similar dash board to the Versa. :-)
I like the refresh of the design and the new features that comes with it. I heard a lot of engine power noise during your test drive, but it looks like it was barely moving. How does it perform during a very sudden quick stop? I still wouldn't buy one of these shopping carts. You did an excellent job reviewing Nolan 👍
Same here. It’s got a punchy little throttle out of the gate but it definitely takes a while to get up to speed. One time when I got on it...a few seconds later I was thinking I gotta be going too fast but it was only like 20-30 mph lol. Slow but decent for city driving. Thank you very much my man!
I own a 2020 Versa SV and you're right it is a very light car at 2600 lbs. so wind will cause car to move a bit on the high way and other then that its handle okay. Ride could be better but for this price point and class, it is a great value cars. CVT is great too
Good job Nolan! I appreciate your honesty!! If I were considering this class of car this would be last on my list. Too many better cars in this class. It's a cheap car and it shows.
My put off too. But Civic & Corolla have CVTS now... Topline SR should have rear discs & 360 camera. I'd take those over funky undercar/footwell lighting...
It's not that long ago that 122 horses was performance here in Europe. 2006 Audi A4 base was 101horses. So I imagine that 122 horses can get you around. Strange they call it a CVT though when it changes revs in obvious gear shifts. Btw, is there no navigation in the display?
Thank you...Lucky Brand Jeans and the shoes are Sorel. The jeans are one of the relaxed fits. They’re expensive but you can usually find them doing 40-50% off deals 👍
why do some Versa SR's have foglights, and some don't? what dictates which one gets foglights? i can't find anything on Nissan's website about it being an option, or part of a package or anything. kind of confusing! i know the Canadian versions have em. but i like i said, i've seen some US models with em, some without. and it can't have anything to do with what year model it is, i've seen 2022 US models with them on dealership sites. so ya confusing 😏
The flat spot on the steering column which is tacky I noticed that on mine. After using keyed and double key vehicles all my life, I still reach for a key when I put it in park. so I noticed that right away lol.
Rear drums are less of a hassle overall than rear discs. I had a 2001 Cavalier that went through front pads every 60k miles. The rear drums didn't require service until the car hit 164k miles. Most of the stopping is done by the fronts, so unless you have a high performance car, you won't need discs in the rear, anyway.
Great review! However: you're wrong about the steering needing more feedback/heft to it. It actually needs LESS feedback/heft. Versa steering effort is too heavy at speeds over 20mph. Under 20mph the steering is BEAUTIFUL. Better than most luxury cars. (Ditto for the Altima's steering). People tend to confuse directness of steering with effort of steering. The reason you have to make so many adjustments on the highway is because the steering is too DIRECT at speed. In the old days we used to have steering "play" in the wheel at hwy speeds to prevent this. But modern engineers are morons. Steering should NOT be variable-assist; it should be variable-direct.
The best bang 4 your buck is any used car you buy ! Wtf would you buy new ? As soon as the new car leaves the lot it loses value. Don't be that dumb and for gods God's sake, don't lease a car either !

Nice redesign of the Versa. A friend of mine drives an older model Versa & it looks NOTHING like this one. Great review.

You can see where the traditional key is to be inserted if it didn't come with smart access and push-button start. That's super tacky.

Is there a version of the Nissan Versa that comes with both power and heated seats?
Just heated. No power.
So if someone wants both power and heated seats, do they absolutely have to jump up to an Altima?
Sentra

All of this advanced safety equipment, and they put drum brakes on the rear???
