    I have a 2019 Nissan versa ( previously.a service car at Nissan dealership) and experienced the first issue he mentioned ( rpm vs speed). Changed the gas cap and cleaned the Mass air flow sensor, problem solved. It has 112+k miles. Extended auto warranty is offered up to 150k but declined since it's pricey. Automatic oil transmission flush is recommended every 30k miles.

    2014 Versa SE
    1) Transmission runs high RPM and fails to shift - They settled a law suit over this, but did not recall. I was S.O.L. and had to replace the transmission
    2) Electric door locks continue to fail - Had mine replace 4 times while under warranty, but now have to unlock back doors manually
    3) Unusual wear on battery - 4 Batteries in 5 years

    • @chuckh4077

      Jeez. That is not normal for that many batteries in 5 years. Were you getting the very cheap ones at autozone? You must get the more expensive versions. I get one that is $150 and it lasts over 2 years before needing replacement. We have very hot summers where i live so the batteries don't last long due to AC running while idling.

    I bought a new 2012 Versa SV sedan when they first came out. I initially loved it. It was very spacious and comfortable to drive, and the fuel economy was stellar. However, the black paint started peeling in several places the first year. Nissan took care of it under warranty, thankfully. At 30k miles I took it to the dealership to have the CVT fluid change. The dealership said their computer told them the fluid was still clean and to wait to change it at 50k miles. Well, at 38k miles the CVT started slipping and making horrible squealing noise. It was only once in a while, so it was one of those situations where the dealership would've just told me they couldn't duplicate the issue. So I kept driving hoping it would totally fail before the 60k mile warranty expired. I got it to 56k miles and it was still slipping and squealing only on rare occasions, so to avoid risking having to pay $6,000 out of pocket for a new transmission on a 2yr old car, I opted to trade it in. I was very disappointed.

    Some of my problems:
    1. I drive a manual, the clutch pedal has a very squeaky bushing,
    2. The starter gets covered in oil vapors since it's so close to the oil filter that it collects dirt/dust, giving the engine a struggle to turn over due to a dirty connection on the negative
    3. I thought the wheel bearing gap issue in the video was my problem but mine is more of a screen door spring squeak, maybe a strut?

    I thought I had issues with my transmission issues. Turns out it was two lights on my rear driver side. If your vehicle is in drive and your drive sign is blink in a 2014 Nissan Versa I’m 100 percent sure that’s the issue. I drove with the light off in my vehicle as well. I had no issues until I used my left turn signal. This was while all my lights were off. For all you Nissan Versa drivers who have this issue try that first before you get ripped off by a mechanic. They’ll put in a new transmission or even just change the bulbs because they know. I will still being having my car looked at by someone I trust. However 13 bucks vs thousands of dollars? I have to give credit a RUclipsr who has a Nissan Sentra. Their cruise control light was blink and their car had the same issues as mine. Changing the light solved the issue for them as well.

    I have a 2016 Versa, every summer I have problems with gas fumes coming into the car. Have had it checked by Nissan and other mechanics , no gas leaks were found, no check engine lights, and it only happens on a hot day in the summertime, all winter long their are no issues what so ever. Any idea what it could be?

    • @blackwidow8520
      @blackwidow8520 Год назад +1

      Wow this is EXACTLY the issue I am having with my 16 Nissan Versa! This past 3 days the temp has been 108-112° and yep... gas fumes into the car. There are no leaks to be found. I'm sad you didn't get a reply...did you ever find out what is causing it?

    • @waronfearmongering6751
      @waronfearmongering6751 Год назад

      @@blackwidow8520 Unfortunately not, it doesn't do it when I take it in for a mechanic to look at it of course. From what I found out that I think it might be the issue is there is a rubber hose with a valve that looks like a PCV valve going from the charcoal canister and pushes into the frame of the car near the gas tank. That is where the excess fumes come from and what I think is happening is the fumes are making their way into the cab of the car through that hole. A mechanic told me that it shouldn't do that, cause that's the way it's designed. So I pulled that hose out from that hole and rerouted it back under the wheel well alongside the charcoal canister without bending it, so far it seems to help keep the fumes out, but unfortunately when you get out of the car, it stinks to high heaven from fumes. I have contacted Nissan and got nowhere, at this point I am forced to sell the car or only drive it during winter, which is the only time I don't experience the fumes. Sad though, it has been a good car up until this point, this problem started for me around 65k.

    There mass airflow sensors and powersteering module and lower control arms are pretty common too also the air intake housing rubber part always is torn in the back behind it if u squeeze it at..
