Love these reviews of TJ and Costco type wines. Love that you group them by country (or regions sometimes) and that you keep your eye out for the most recent addtions, allowing us followers to make sure we get there ahead of the crowd. Also like your brief introductions to the growing areas and their history. Am particularly interested when you cite an unfamiliary or unusual grape. TJ's recently feature the wonderful Picpoul, for instance. Gratitude abounds for the effort you put into these RUclipss. Grazie mille.
Things come and go at TJ's. Gotta catch things. Really enjoyed the TENEBRES -French GSM for an amazing $7. Their lot of Louis Jadot Beauj. was a complex little chestnut too. Here today, gone tomorrow tho.
Thank you for these reviews of affordable wines. Since you have covered both Costco and Trader Joes, would it also be possible to review a few wines from Grocery Outlet? Any three wines that you think are a good value would be fine. On a different note, I was recently watching some episodes of Star Trek: The Next Generation and saw you on one of them as a security officer. It's too bad they didn't have you in some kind of wine related scene. 😀
Peter: think FlintIronStag23's suggestion of Grocery Outlet reviews is an excellent one. Even though they are not nationwide (yet) my experience with their overstock merchandise has been pretty good. They will eventually become a household name like Trader Joe's or Costco.
I don't think so. I have been tasting wine for a looooonnnnnggggggg time and am able to pick up the nuances of a wine when it enters my mouth. Now if I was tasting, say a couple of dozen Barolos I would certainly take a break every 6 wines or so and put a piece of bread or celery (a trick of the experts) into my mouth. Thanks for watching!
The wines are: 2023 Vignobles Lacheteau Vouvray $9.99, 2021 Ch. La Pirouette Medoc Cru Bourgeois $7.99 and 2022 Trader Joes Reserve Rasteau $9.99
Very informative. I learn something more about wine every time I watch one of your videos.
Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment.
Another Grand Slam Peter! Your videos are more like wine travel adventures. Your food pairings were The Bomb. You know we’re going to try them too.
Awesome thank you!
Awesome! The exact type of info and reviews I'm always looking for. Thank you, please keep them coming.
I just shot 4 new episodes yesterday. Will be posting them every 5 days as usual!
@@MasterSommelierPeterNeptune Great, thanks for continuing to share your knowledge.
Great as always
Thank you! Cheers!
Thank you for the great review……. Would be possible to leave the full name of the wines you review and thank you for
Great video, thank you

Thank you so much. I am super glad that you are enjoying my channel!
Thank you, Peter, for another excellent video. I'm off to Trader Joe's tomorrow morning to look for all three of these.
That's great! Thank you.
Great episode, once again. My wife and I will be in Queenstown, NZ for a week in December. Any southern NZ suggestions for us to check out?
Central Otago of course. Many great producers there. Among the best Pinot Noirs in the New World.

Yep, that is nature of TJs.

Thanks for the suggestion. We have a Grocery Outlet nearby and I will go there and pick out some wines to review.
Could you please provide a review of wines from Victoria, Australia (e.g., Yarra Valley, Mornington Peninsula)? Thank you in advance.
Wow thanks for the suggestion. I'll see if I can rounf up some wines from there.
Hi Peter, I notice you never clean your pallet between tastes. Is that really necessary? Your thoughts. Thanks
