Great video, Peter. My limited experience is that Kirkland, over time, has gotten better at negotiating for good or very good wines, and offering them at great prices by cutting out the Tier 2 costs. Appreciate your take here. One question: where do you get info on the wine sourcing? I’ve never found tech sheets, and they are inconsistent with putting that info on the label (assume some winemakers might not want it to be known). Cheers!
I regularly watch the programs of many wine "experts" and without question your content and your communication skills are the best. I have enjoyed your wine-paired meals at local restaurants and have taken (and passed) a course at your school. I highly recommend any viewer desiring to learn more about wine, or simply wanting to enjoy a day of drinking, to investigate your school's offerings.
Thanks for these videos! Appreciate reviews on good values from Costco! Keep up the great work Peter! There are some good value non-Kirkland wines I regularly pick up at the local Costco - $23 Pouilly Fuisse and $18 Willamette Valley Pinot. Think people could appreciate these tiers as they're affordable and also great value for future video considerations.
I've tried all three of these wines myself and the fact is your assessment fits mine exactly. It really gives me confidence that I'm getting what you're getting out of the wine and I can trust what you say for wines I haven't tried. Thank you.
Another great video. I miss being in the US and being able to try those Kirkland wines already, although I already have tried these three. Some friends from California have told me there is now a Ribera del Duero Gran Reserva which I would love you to try and comment on. Cheers!!
Great video, fantastic reviews and on point with what I'm looking for. Thank you! I'm very happy to see the reviews of sub $10 wines that I can easily find. Too many reviews are of wine I can't get or afford. This is actionable content. THANKS!!!!
The Malbec really improves 24 hours later. I would rate it a Friday to Saturday wine. The Chianti I have also tried and I agree with your opinion. Also agreed on your opinion of the Barolo. Will give the SB a try
The Kirkland SB has always been a decent every day white - but this 2023 is really good. Punches WAY over the 7.50 price, it’s a complete steal and would be a great buy at twice that, IMO. I also get some tropical fruit when I drink it.
Hey Peter, over the past year I've made a habit of collecting wines thinking they'll all improve with age. Online, though, I'm reading that ~98% of wines should be consumed just after purchase. Apparently, it's only a select few that age well. Maybe you could make a video about this. By now I have a bunch of bottles. I'm sure some will mature nicely, but I worry others will spoil. How can I know when it's time to enjoy them?
Thanks for the suggestion on a video on what wines age. I can definetely do that. There are certain varieties/wines that have proven ability to age. A wine needs structure, complexity and balance to age well. Watch my video "Does Chablis Age" for an example. Thanks for watching!
The Black Rooster is the Mark of the Chianti Classico Consorzio. It is a membership of Chianti Classico producers. Its role is to protect and promote the Chianti Classico wines. The overall quality if Chianti Classico is very high.

Thanks for the recommendation. Will definitely do so.
Really enjoy your videos. Very informative for wine novices. 👍
Thank you for watching!
I've tried all both the Sauvignon Blanc and the Chianti Classico Riserva, both are good wines for the price. Thank you!
Glad you liked my review! Thanks for watching.

Wow Matt thank you for your positive review. Glad to be of help. More to come!
@@MasterSommelierPeterNeptune Great, I'm looking for to it.
Another fun episode - too bad the cote du rhone village isn’t out now . That wine is my fav of all the under 10$
I'll keep my eye out for it.
Peter,
sometimes these find their way into late Friday, after the better stuff is gone.
Thanks for the video.
Thank you for watching!

Peter, can explain the significance of the black roster on the Chianti? Any association with quality?

Love your recommendations!!!
Thank you Katherine!
I picked up a bottle of the Kirkland Sauvignon Blanc after watching this video. I thought I detected Oak on the nose. Am I nuts? Thanks
there is no oak on that wine
The wines are: Kirkland 2023 Signature Ti Point Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc $7.59, 2021 Kirkland Signature Chianti Classico Riserva $8.99, and 2022 Kirkland Signature Malbec $6.99
