ive had that mask for a while - the first one made a hissing sound - it was replaced and the new one is great air pressure at 10 max - its the best nasal mask i have no problems with he pinching issue or the swivel - great review and so funny too thanks rob
I'm not sure about this mask, kind of makes you look like a really sad elephant. But I don't think you get enough credit for your editing skills, your edits are hilarious. I've only recently been diagnosed with sleep apnea so been on CPAP for about 2 weeks. It's been hard getting used to sleeping in a mask. Essentially haven't slept for two weeks. But I've bought 3 different masks so far and finally after switching out the dreamwear nasal pillows for the cushion I've found "the one" I think. Watching your videos whilst trying to fall asleep at night massively eased my anxiety. Thanks bud x
I was very stubbornly resistant to using my CPAP at first (...three years.) My brother had been on it for years before me and talked me into just committing to using it every time I sleep, naps included, for a month. Now, 7 years later, I couldn't imagine going to sleep without it! He was right....if you can just force yourself to do it for a month with 100% compliance, you will be fine from there on.
I had big problems getting the strap/headgear to stay put on the mask frame after I removed it to wash it. Even holding it in place while I put it on only worked for a minute and the little "buttonhole thingy" popped off the hook again. It happened even after replacing the headgear. I jury rigged it by: 1. hot gluing the strap to the frame hook and 2. using zip ties around the strap connection so it can't pop off.
Been using the P10 for years. My only complaint for the P10 is sometimes I experience some soreness/irritation on the edges of my nostrils due to the nasal pillows. I use some ointment if necessary. The N30 has such a similar design I'm tempted to try it out. In your video it actually seemed noisier than the P10, and looked far more awkward to remove the pillows for cleaning. Some people have commented that the N30 is slightly more difficult to get a good fit. Where the hose connects to the mask looks much the same as the P10, and I have had no issues there. Would have been nice if the N30 had used the same fitting as the P10, that way I could just swap the N30 pillows onto my P10 mask and give it a try.
@@daleadmire1451 I switched to a new AirSense 11 in January and decided to stay with the AirFit P10. The N30 supposedly was a bit more vulnerable to leaks and more awkward for side sleepers. The minimal comfort benefits of the N30 over the P10 wasn't enough for me to make the change.
I love the fit and minimal headgear. However, I don’t feel like any exhaled air is coming out the vent…. Can you take out that little filter!!! Help. I do love this over the n30i that I’ve had for years. Thanks Lefty!!!! Martha
I just got this mask, along with some others to try, and I fell in love with how comfortable it is--but, unfortunately, my numbers aren't great with it. The nose piece is a little too soft and moves out of place easily. The strap doesn't have enough structure to stay put, either, and if your hair is more than a few inches long, forget it. Taking it apart (especially getting it back together after cleaning) is far too fiddly for a supposedly "minimalist" mask. My sleep tech gave me a F&P Evora nasal mask, and while it's not nearly as soft and cushiony, it basically fixes ALL of the above problems, and I finally slept the whole night with a mask on. It's a far better product.
I tried it didn’t like it think I need to get a small, I have 3 different masks now sick of buying new ones I’m in Australia I have the P10 nasal pillows now all different sizes 😮
I love the P10, but hate how the P10 straps has limited adjustability and stretches out quickly. But guess what? Wait for it........... BOOM. Looking forward to another great big "Thank you, and thanks Buddy".
Great review. My favorite nasal mask is the swift fx, and fx nano. I think the swift fixes all the issues you mentioned. Apparently Resmed didn’t demo this mask before releasing it. I sleep on my stomach, and all my masks need to accommodate that. Without a swivel valve, you can’t do that. My main mask is the F30 full face, and I can still sleep on my stomach, by adjusting my pillow with that mask.
Hey Jono, I know I’m a year late but I’m also a complete stomach sleeper. Do you turn your head to the side or do you use a face down pillow? I just picked up a face down pillow and it’s amazing. Sometimes I’d wake up with a tweaked neck so this resolves that issue. Plenty of room for any cpap mask. Presently using the Dreamwear nasal cushion but have also had luck with the N30i. I’ve got an Evora on the way but after seeing the review, I’m considering also grabbing a nano. Any negatives about the nano you’ve noticed?

I just have a question to ask you I've been using my CPAP for about three months and it has helped me I do feel awake now and don't feel tired but ever since I started using it I have a hissing sound in my ear and fill light head pretty much every day. Can the CPAP machine cause that ?
Can you sleep on your stomach with this mask? I flip flop a lot and this is the mask my insurance company authorized so I am worried it won't be good for me.
I'm curious to why you think n30i is a bad mask? As a beginner i found it very lightweight and easy to use. Theres was small leaks but it was fixed by switching from the medium to small piece. Thanks for the videos, they're really good.
Extremely uncomfortable and leaky. You'd have to see the video for specifics, but it's the hard plastic digging into my face. (I'm mostly a side sleeper)
I think this pillow stretches out during the night because mine always feels deflated and starts leaking after abt 3 hours and no amount of adjusting fixes it. It’s just done for the night. I am about to try out the ResMed N30i with newer nose cradle.
This mask was incredibly loud for me during exhale. If the diffuser supported a higher exhaust rate without being loud then it would be almost perfect.

Love my N30! Best mask I’ve ever had and we tried many in the beginning. I do think a swivel at the hose would be nice but that said I haven’t had any issues with it.
I just got a nasal cradle mask n30. When i lie on my back, seems ok but when i turn on my side, seems like there's an air leak and noisy. I like sleeping on my side. What type of mask can you recommend that's quiet and comfortable (no air leak) when i change my sleeping position.
Wonderful lightweight little gem! But I'm having problems with the N30 blocking my breathing with nasal passage swelling when the pressure starts to increase on my AirSense 11 Auto. I maxed out the humidity and it helped - but just for one night. The next night [all controls same] the swelling came back again and I had to go back to my F&P Vitera FFM. Any other ideas? 2 questions: (I'm hoping I get a "yes" for at least one of the questions) 1-does the nasal pillow insert for the P10 fit in the N30? or Can you use the headgear for the N30 on the P10 mask? Huh, looks like you answered the 2nd question with a "yes" ~3 days ago. Any update on whether the N30 headgear works with the P10?
I don't like the reassembly of the cushion or the headgear onto the stabilizer. Seems like a hassle. My nose is always slightly sore (not the interior) from the cushion pressure. Otherwise, I do ok with it.
I wish the P10 had the N30 head strap adjustment! I'm using the N30 now and having previously grown accustomed to internal nasal pillows (8 years), it's a bit irritating at first to feel air against the external edge of my nostrils-- it wakes me up repeatedly and I may have to try another mask.
ResMed could have made these straps easier to remove...the SoClean really deteriorates the elastic. By the way, just got the Hurricane Dryer you recommended and it's a game changer, thank you.

Just tried it last night. Fairly comfortable but I woke up with under my nose sore. I had same problem with pillows only in my nose. Any ideas how to deal with this? It's the 4th mask I've tried and still looking!
Do you think that strap assembly will fit the P10? From the video, it looks like it might. The simpler P10 strap gets loose over time and there's no easy way to tighten it up.
@@Freecpapadvice Thanks! I may give that a try. Of course being a new part, the strap assembly alone may take a while to be generally available for sale. I'll look for it on Cheap CPAP Supplies. :)
I normally use the P10, but occasionally my nasal cavity gets sore, so I bought one of these to use for those times. I was frustrated that, unlike the P10, the "starter" pack doesn't come with a variety of sizes. I started with the medium per the guide, but it leaked and whistled and I felt like I couldn't get enough air. I coughed up the extra $31 to try the small wide (MUCH different shape). They need a prescription because it's the way the law is set up....unfortunately. I think it's dumb. Jason, which mask did you like better, the N30 or the Dreamwear nasal mask? I have both, and while I have more leaks with the N30, the N30 is so much lighter that I like using it a lot more.
The dreamwear without hesitation. While I don't like nasal pillow masks in general, I'd rather use the P10 than the N30. I can see where the N30 would be great for a very large number of people....it just wasn't my favorite. That's interesting that you had leaking with it as well. I'd be really curious to hear if this is the norm for most people.
@@Freecpapadvice Yes, I used the N30 again the other night, loved the lightness and quietness of it, but had 16cm 95% leakage number. Had 0cm leak number the next night with the Dreamwear. So I guess I'll have to pick the Dreamwear for better therapy :-).
Interesting, I wonder how this would fit my face. I'm having trouble with my dreamwear mask because I seem to be in between sizes. The medium fits the width of my face well but the large has a bigger nose hole. But the large sits too wide on my face and is hard to get a good seal. Maybe this would work. Then again I could carefully snip the hole bigger on my medium. I need a minimal contact mask that doesn't leak. Arrrrgh.

Dear Lanky Lefty 27 :) I am a viewer from Norway. Very cool channel which makes cpap fun - especially for beginners like me who are a bit worried to start this kind of therapy. Here were I live I only have access to the Resmed products. Would you mind answering which are your favorite Resmed masks in the three categories (full face/nose/pillow)? I would really appreciate hearing back from you! Yours sincerely, Andy K from Gardermoen, Norway.
TheLankyLefty27 Well look at that - the perfect video to answer my questions 😊👍🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 Thank you very much for the quick reply - I really appreciate it 😊 Have a great summer! Greetings from Scandinavia 🤜🏼
TheLankyLefty27 by the way: How on earth are you able to speak normally with the nose mask blowing high pressure air into your nostrils....?? 😂 If I try to speak, air comes rushing out my mouth and it's impossible to speak normally!
It needs a head strap that goes under the ears. I've found that the "i" masks don't have enough head straps, at least in the wrong positions. It needs to have a strap that goes under the ears otherwise as you roll over at night it tends to try to come off, at least for me. And the last thing, 100 bucks, come on man!
I have tested the new N30 and there are several design flaws with it. 1. the head gear is too tight if you have a big head, the pressure of the cushion around the nose will start to hurt after about 20-40 minutes and becomes so annoying, that you cant fall asleep with it . The P10 headgear already had this issue. And Resmed didnt fix this at all for larger heads with this one, just a joke 2. the cushion feels soft and comfortable at first, but then becomes really annoying and uncomfortable after a while, because the air blows it up like a balloon and makes it kinda "hard", which directly leads to 3. of the cushion pressing from the outside against the nose sides and cutting of the amount of air you can breath in 4. the opening of the nostrils is in my opinion way too small, this issues is present on a lot of Resmed masks, not sure why they make the openings a bit larger, Philips masks have a way larger opening space 5. one of the worst issues with this mask in my opinion is the connected tubing in the front of the cushion. It is kind a fail of a design, because if you lay down, the soft rubber tubing will bend around and will lower the amount of air which flows through it. You can easily feel the difference, by just lining up the tubing in a straight line and you can breathe in better, compared of it laying down and it bending. leading to the most annoying thing of this mask 7. the tubing makes an annoying noise because it comes in contact with the air flowing out in front of the cushion... no matter how you align in your bed, it will always just lay in a not 100% straight line away from you leading to this annoying noise. Does Resmed test their own masks? I could easily have listed all these issues just after 1 hours using the mask, and even come up for some solutions redesigning the mask a little bit. For example making the first 1 or 2 inches of the tubing not soft but straight pointing away from the cushion, this would had fixed problem 6 and 7 easily. 8. last but not least I find it really hard compared to other masks to breathe out with this mask. My N30 has a 360° moving tube btw around the connection to the cushion, yours doesnt have for whatever reason. It also seems you have the "silent" version which I dont have, maybe the silent one has a fixed tube connected to it, the other not.

Please can you helpe me🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏 I will take CPAP but I dont know which one is the best Dream station or Res Med 10 thanks alot
You can't go wrong with either.
@@Freecpapadvice Thanks alot 🤗🤗I chosen the Res Med 10 wiche me luck😊😊😊
I can't believe this thing is a $100 bucks for 5 cents worth of plastic. I don't need one of these units to sleep, but I'm looking for something like this to wear under my welding helmet for avoiding welding fumes.
I love n30i just got another... Please dont tell it is not great mask, tried other masks also Philips dreamwere till now n30i for me is perfect fit.
I say there are masks for every face :) this one i probably could not use as i sleep face down and would damage it after a week or two...

Hi Andre. I show them here. P30 pillows and F30 and F30i would also be recommended in addition to the video: ruclips.net/video/YfDtbOjpdaA/видео.html
TheLankyLefty27 Well look at that - the perfect video to answer my questions 😊👍🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Thank you very much for the quick reply - I really appreciate it 😊 Have a great summer! Greetings from Scandinavia 🤜🏼
TheLankyLefty27 by the way: How on earth are you able to speak normally with the nose mask blowing high pressure air into your nostrils....?? 😂
If I try to speak, air comes rushing out my mouth and it's impossible to speak normally!
I’m just here for the ADHD and funnies so thx bro
It needs a head strap that goes under the ears. I've found that the "i" masks don't have enough head straps, at least in the wrong positions. It needs to have a strap that goes under the ears otherwise as you roll over at night it tends to try to come off, at least for me. And the last thing, 100 bucks, come on man!
0:31 You know what they say about men with big noses :P
Yup, they have big masks.
Dud. You lost me OUT!
Don't these companies send out Beta versions to test before final design? Duh!
HELLO PAPPER PEOPLE
