Hi everyone, i hope you enjoy my little video on the AirTouch N20 by ResMed. Thanks For watching

Link to the N20 User Guide -
    www.resmed.com...
The ResMed #AirTouch N20 is very similar to the AirFit N20 but it has a new Ultrasoft memory foam cushion that is super soft on the nose and provides and incredible seal as it mould perfectly to the contours of each individuals face.
    It comes in 3 sizes
    Small / Medium / Large
There is a 'for her version' that comes with a lavender colour strap but it only comes in size small cushion.
The mask is interchangeable with the N20 infinity silicone seal so you can mix and match your seals as you please.
The mask has 4 components and is easy to assemble and take apart for cleaning. I do feel they could have made it a little easier to take off the cushion but it's only a small negative.
The Airtouch is perfect for those who have sensitive skin and suffer from red marks and sore noses. It has a nice clear line of sight and is very secure with 4 points of adjustment.
The frame has is soft on the cheeks and has a nice padded feel to the fabric.
The big downside is the Airtouch N20 seal should be replaced every month which will add an extra cost to your cpap therapy. There's minimal cleaning required with this mask cushion, simply wipe it down with a mask wipe each morning to keep it fresh.

Just seeing this RUclips video even tho I’m a long time subscriber and SLEEP HQ user. I just tried this mask starting Dec 31 last year. Even tho the supplier made me buy enough cushion parts for regular scheduled replacements I only used one for 3 months. It was fine. I only changed my cushion part today because I felt like it was getting dirty despite regular wiping. I found that the seal does fit a little better now. So I’d say 3 months is good.

My Swift FX has apparently been discontinued so I needed to go a new direction. My therapist suggested the AirFit N20. I watched this video and all the positive comments were enough to influence my decision. Thanks for the great review! I should receive my new mask in a week to 10 days and I'm looking forward to giving it a whirl. My good news is tomorrow we have the Christmas Boat Parade in the bayou and it's a time of joy and community togetherness that our entire town looks forward to each year. Merry Christmas everyone!!!

Hi Nick, thanks for the info. I’ve been using the Airtouch N20 for about a year. I’ve also been using the same one. I clean it with wipes and use a blow dryer on the memory foam on cool air and it plumps it back up. However, after a few nights of sleep therapy you will notice that your hypopneas raise a little. Maybe by 1 to 1.5 so then just
pull your Velcro straps ever so slightly , tighten them up and your seal is once again good for another couple of months.
I love resmed, but they have to make money obviously. Follow your own instincts , only you know what works for you with your CPAP therapy.
Having said all of the above , I make sure I wash my tubing and change my filters weekly. I wash my tubing, mask and water chamber with Dawn Washing liquid soap, rinse and dry afterwards, then you have a wonderful fragrance when you start your therapy for a Great nights sleep!!
Now, I would like to thank Nick once again for the informative tuition , demonstrations and informed opinions on his RUclips videos.
Keep up the Great Work Nick. I’M A FAN MATE!!

Thanks so much Nick! Your explained several things about the AirTouch N20 that my provider did not mention. Such as:
    - how to most easily remove and reassemble the cushion from the headgear... I was struggling with that. Fiddly is a great way to describe it.
    - the availability of wipes to clean the cushion.... much better for the foam than my previous system for which I used soap & water.
    - your pacing of the video... perfect.
    - your assessment of the N20 AirTouch... honest and to the point.

Thanks for an excellent review. I was told by my pulmonary doctor to search for a foam mask and give them the info to see if they can get it for me. I have a horrible allergic reaction to silicone, even while wearing liners. I am going to see if I can get approved for this mask! Thank you for sharing! I started C-PAP two days ago and woke today with horrible red rash, eczema, and eyes swollen shut because of reacting to silicone. I am super sensitive to all sorts of chemicals, but was not expecting this. My respiratory therapist had got the foam mask shipped to my home today, but no compatible headgear came with it. Hopefully I won't be bleeding by Monday from the eczema when I march into their office and demand parts. Loving my brain on oxygen.

Thanks for your informative and entertaining reviews and instruction. I have used the silicone N20 for years without complaint. I was surprised to get new foam masks sent with one of my resupply orders. I thought the mask felt really comfortable but the foam is so thick, it actually blocked my nostrils, making it impossible to breathe! I had to toss them in the trash, all new & unused in their cases but one, since I could not return them. I later read one has so go up a size in order to not have the foam block one's nostrils. The mask seems like a good idea, but with the thick foam right up against nostrils, it was impossible for me to breathe and in spite of playing with adjustments, the mask always ended up blocking my breathing.

    • @frankbruce7580
      @frankbruce7580 2 года назад

Thanks, Anna. Yours is the precise comment I was hoping to find! I came back to this video after purchasing the N20 Airtouch, because I also found that I could not breathe with the N20 Airtouch Medium size. For me, it was my first time using the N20 mask, so I purchased both Airtouch and Airfit style cushions - both medium - so I could try both. The Airfit (silicone) fit just fine, but the Airtouch (foam) did not allow me to breath freely. For this reason, I think that the size guide must be misleading, or else the Airtouch cushion design needs to be fixed. Again, thank you for sharing your experience.

Awesome instructions, insights on how to put on, clean, and use this mask. I tried it out one night about
+\- 7 months ago, it felt a little “overbearing,” e.g., too bulky. I didn’t give it a long enough trial. Love the quick release if have to use the restroom. Watched your video and now going to try again as ALL of the masks without memory foam have seriously irritated my facial skin. Will let you know....

Do your doctors make a big deal of learning your machine and making adjustments? In the US they people seem afraid to do anything without doctors approval. I am thankful for you guys sharing so we can control our own therapy and be safe. Thank you!

G'day Steve, It's a very interesting point you raise. You have to remember that if you take control and learn about your own therapy and how it works then the doctor doesn't get paid. In all honesty, for 95% of cases there's really no need for A. Sleep Testing or B. A Doctor / Physician. It's very very simple therapy and a person should in my view be able to just hire one for a few months and see if it improves their quality of life? Simple! At the end of the day the therapy just improves your breathing and sleep. They want you to think it's very complex, so you don't bother to learn for yourself and then they can keep you coming back for more appointments. ResMed in Australia will now post you out a hire cpap without any medical documentation. And why not! Good on them. Cheers

This is so true! I was given a prescription for CPAP twice and because I had no guidance or direction I sold both machines! Just this year out of desperation and poor work performance, I started reading cpap blogs and looking at youtube videos to learn about the machine settings, masks, and other tips and tricks and now finally I am reaping the rewards of cpap therapy 😊. NO ONE NEEDS A DOCTOR OR EXPENSIVE SLEEP STUDY! A simple home sleep study can diagnose sleep apnea! and if u already know you have it based on reports from your spouse or wake up feeling unrefreshed daily then u dont even need a study! You can just buy a machine from an online retailer and they will get u a prescription and/or send you a home sleep study kit! (Cant use insurance but u can make payments). From there just watch videos/blogs/user feedback like this and learn the settings and mask that works for you! It takes a while to get it right but what do you have to lose? The US healthcare industry is evil, insidious, and predatory!! So thankful for this guy and his videos!

I have used both the old and new N20s. While slightly more comfortable I do not find the foam ones worth the higher price and briefer life of maximum seal. In fact, the introduction of the new ones has had the very welcome effect of reducing the price of the silicon ones! I have to wonder whether these are marketed to women or newscasters. I couldn't care less if I wake up with creases on my face. The *only* reason I would use them is if they dramatically increase my mask leakage. I have not monitored closely enough to know. I agree the with your assessment of the finickiness of changing them. I am always concerned that I will break them. My RRT (Canada) says the schedule of replacement is exaggerated.
BTW, are *you* an RRT? I don't see your qualifications listed on RUclips
videos. I certainly learn a lot from your videos. Yours are among my
    favourites.

Same here. I’ve found the ResMed wipes (think they contain Aloe Vera?) are enough to cause a skin reaction. Especially if I don’t rinse with fresh water afterwards! This seal sound promising but you have to use the wipes to clean them, so I’ll likely have the same problem regardless?

That was a wonderful review as always excellent. One good thing that happen to me around thanksgiving was I received a call from one of my first cousin, I haven’t heard from in 55 years. It was such a surprise an a pleasure to hear from him. Also my bother who I haven’t seen in 5 years came to visit and he did tell me he was coming. He showed up at my daughter house and called me and said guess where I am, my daughter lives around the corner.
That was shock. And to top it off I had two visitors that came to see and my mom. My Mom is 87 and I am 69 years old. I can honestly say it’s was a good end of the year surprise.

I've tried this foam version for the last 3 nights and not exactly loving it. Remed myAir says there is leakage compared to the regular version and it tends to get hot on the face. I'll give it a few more tries with some adjustments to the headgear and see where I stand on this version. A positive comment is that I love my new Resmed Autoset 10 and using it every night, coming from an older RemStar it's leaps and bounds superior. Keep up this great channel!

I used a Medium N20 Silicon style for years and I just got my Resmed S11 on Nov 11, 2021. I got the new AirTouch N20 Medium. I used it for 2 hours and couldn't breath. It was too small, I had to exchange it for a large... The medium was too tight fitting on the sides of my nose. It was pushing my nostrils in... Something you may want to warn people about. Hi Nick, long time subscriber to your RUclips channel. Love your videos! I still struggle with my masks at night. I think I may only have to use my full face mask I recently purchased during early to mid Spring only, as that's when my sinusitis is really bad and I need strong antibiotics to get over it. Thankfully, I have a wonderful GP who knows all of my 'quirks' with my Lupus/SLE. As for this mask, which I've never tried, it looks great. Very similar build to my new full face mask the way it fits behind your head. And as I have quite long hair, I can put my hair through the hole to get it out of the way! Yay! And I have a memory foam pillow, several in fact, so the cushion on this mask looks awesome. I don't think I could afford to replace them as recommended, however. As for my good news for the year, I think everyday is a good day as I'm alive and mostly well. I love that you comment on your videos and even when I purchase an item from RemSleep, you put little notes in there to help me out. That's a BIG PLUS! So just wanted to say thank you for all you do for the cpap community Nick. :)

    • @CPAPReviews

Hi Cherie :-). I know of a lot of people who have both a nasal and a full mask as back up. They use the full mask during spring (allergies) and winter (cold and flu etc) and when they have no nasal issues they use the nasal mask for the rest of the year. I have had a few people email me since doing this video who have informed me that they last a lot longer than 1 month which is great news. I did suspect that might be the case. That being said, the silicon version is still a great cushion and gets very good reviews.
I agree with you! Sometimes we just need to be grateful we're alive so well said!
A big thanks for your business support also. Very challenging times at the moment so we really appreciate your financial support.

Monthly 🤨?? Crazy, I've had my Mirage Micro for 10 years, and have never replaced the cushion or the f/head pad either 😳 but that being said, I've had no issue with leaks and apart from looking a bit old, still seems to work as good as it did on day dot.
Have just been looking for spares for it, and seems it's getting a bit old in the tooth now, so am thinking I'll go with the Airfit N20, and I'll not be replacing a cushion every month 😂😂😂😂 and with the lifespan I've gotten out of the Micro cushion...I'll stick with the silicone one. I watched your review and thought it looks the goods 😁😁😁😁
