Hi everyone, about this shoes I can say just ONE thing. Is of the most COMFY shoes I ever tried till date!!! Is that type of shoes that you can wear them even without socks on your feet (even though I don't encourage no one to do that, because of the "hygiene issue"). This Onitsuka Tiger shoes has a plush leather, I hope they will remain like this all my life... I meant the quality of the fabrication of this model. First time I've tried them was 3-4 years ago (and as always i had luck to catch them in Sales at around 45€ each pair and I brought 3 different colors of "Mexico 66" because of the good quality). This year they weren't to many available colors as I hopped to be (even in online stores). As always if someone has some questions about this or other shoes, please go ahead and ask me. This ones are closer to a sock than a sneaker, so I think you will be OK with this particular model. For me are one of my favorites all times. Crazy comfy for the thickness of the sole!
Never try it those slip-on model. I wasn't interested in them... I feel that maybe are oriented more towards feminine side... being without laces (not really sure). Plus the leather with get loose sooner or later, I see it all the time with these laced ones... so loosed leather + some kind of loosed elastic band... But, never tried... so I should hold my opinion for myself (at least for now, because I'm just speculating here). Maybe if they wouldn't give them holes, I might say they look even cool. For me THAT will make more sense, I think. And I can see a good use in them, for people with disabilities or even for elderly people I believe, IF they could add a ticker midsole to have a cushioning... to have a REAL complete comfort.
ruclips.net/video/DiZcYhBuuLM/видео.html Hi, here I have Mexico 66 SD version were you can hear my opinion for both models (I also try SD black version, but I didn't make any videos of that one... and same opinion like this silver version). I hope this helps!
The comfort is amazing in comparison with the high of this sole (that isn't much on this sneakers), that being said I guess it depends a bit of the feet of every person. The weight you have, the climate etc. Using them for 4-8h for me it was not a problem (for long drivings at least and some short breaks), but I can say much more... P.S: I used to go to work at least 6 km walking back and forth for 1 entire summer and never had problems with them (that was my choice to make some exercise). I hope this helps!
May I ask, is this a true to size? Because my size on nike shoes is 9.5. May i know what size would be best fit on me? 9.5 or a lower size like 8.5-9? Thanks 🤔
Hi, I added a pinned comment with more INFO about mi sizes in different brands. I hope that helps! P.S: For me: 8 US = 8 Adidas = 8 Onitsuka Tigers (now ONLY depends how everyone has the widths on his feet, you should keep that in mind) I would NOT go any size lower in OT, maybe +0.5 up because my Nike 41.0 = Onitsuka Tiger 41.5, but in US I've see it that 8.5 in Onitsuka Tiger doesn't exist so... 8 Nike=8 OT
I wear 10 in everything from adidas stan smith, gazelles, rivalries, new balance 990v6 but had to go half a size down for the tigers. Tried it in London regent street store. Same size had too much room in the heel for me
Is almost impossible to guess your correct size but I will try to give some useful guidance. I will have to know your size in few other brands and even then I won't fully know if is the right one or not. I will explain why. The length matters, but is not the only one. I recommend to measure your feet (Idle will be after 8PM or after school or long shift). Draw a sketch of both feet (all 360°), placing first the left one on a A4 plain white sheet of paper. Your heels will have to be touching a wall and this measurement have to be when they are a bit swell ! Be sure to check Length and Width for both feet and keep the biggest values of both. I.E have 26cm and in Onitsuka Tiger Mexico 66 size ES 41.5 or 8 in US: My feet have - Left: L=25.7cm and W=9.7cm - Right: L= 25.9cm and W=9.5cm You also keep in mind that when they swell (and they DO all the time when you have them in your feet for longer periods of time or you do any kind of exercises) they will increase their sizes. So now they will be at: Left = 26.2 and Right = 26.4 cm (more or less). When someone is asking my size I say I have "26cm" because that one is in between the biggest and lowest values of my feet. In Onitsuka Tiger the feet with 26cm = ES 41.5 = 8 US = 7 UK and they fit me perfectly after 30 minutes of use (be sure to check their Size Guide that is very accurate from my experience). The first sensation is that they run a slightly narrow but, they loosen up so nicely that after 30 minutes of use are one of the best shoes that I know after trying hundreds of shoes (or maybe even thousands of them) all my life. The feet can be flat/low arch/medium/high (mine are medium closer to high) and the shape of the toes can differ quite a bit. Mine are in between Roman foot & Egyptian foot (in my newest videos you can see them at some point). So hard to guess successfully, without trying them out. That remains the most reliable method known so far. Next will be a Brannock device but, it will depend how often you will measure them in order to remain accurately. Every few decades it will be necessary. I hope this comment is useful to you somehow!
