they used to be cheap and lasted for 10 years +++ my last pair lasted me 8 years, make it look like new in Thailand, and i gave them away. TuT) i miss them so much, but basically i only use Tiger! or Trueno! that's a shoe you never hear about! Trueno!

Japanese made stuff tend to be better built than rivals like China or Vietnam. Examples would be, soy sauce, vehicles, livestock. It's always been a quality based country, they're just using it as another reason to buy their stuff. Simple advertising stratedgy
