I'm 37 years old italian and it's funny that you talked about tying our laces because since middle school it was never the norm to tie our sneakers (at least for my age group and below).
The only occasion to tie our shoes are laced mocassin, sport events and formal settings when dressing oxford or derby XD

Still disagree with your stance on wearing white socks with sneakers. If your wearing a chunky white (like Air Force ones)sneaker sock less or with no shows, it makes your ankles look to skinny, especially if you have large feet. White socks make your ankles look bigger to match the shoes. Knee high white socks with shorts also make your calves look more muscular. To avoid the summer camp look, just wear a nice polo shirt or buttoned down shirt with the shorts. Nobody thinks that tennis players look bad & that's their standard uniform

That's why I think these fashion 'gurus' should be more humble and come with 'guidelines', instead of being strict and issue absolute, unbendable rules... Like, there are different kinds of white shoes, feet shapes, and situations. There are always exceptions.

I put my laces tied and under the insert. I had to practice a couple of times, but they fit perfectly now. I just slip them on with a shoehorn and go.
I agree and disagree. There’s a time and place for everything. Some all white leathers are nice for casual or dress up, but pulling out a loud and or mixed color shows personality and confidence 😊
There is also protective coating for shoes...so shoes can stay white bit longer...but still thou...white is white and for certain weathers...
What about an off-white, no no lace, slip on canvas shoes? Also what can you pair it with?

The reason my no-show socks are no show is because within 5 minutes they have slid halfway down my foot. Got to go with the ankle socks. Also, I'm not tucking my laces under the tongue because that would be a loose fit which is not good for feet.
Buy Ondo socks. They don’t slip down.
Or you could be a man and wear white tube socks.

Take out the insert, place laces under the insert as you reinstall it. You can tie the laces to keep it snug, or untied for a slip-on effect

Ondo no show socks. They are incredibly comfortable and they don’t slip down.
Could you do one on black sneakers? I always find those way harder to make work with outfits.
I think it depends on the rest of your wardrobe. I wear a lot of black and dark colors, so black sneakers work well for me.
@@markanstrom2981 that's a good tip. I have noticed they work better with olive chinos than khaki. Denim shirts over lighter button downs etc.

She has multiple videos in which she proclaims that men should not even own a single pair of white socks. I quite literally own nothing but white over the calf tube socks, and they are always pulled up to my knees. I even wear them to work with my black dress shoes and pants. She’s a lunatic.

We don't have many choices with the superstars this year so far for vegan whites, I stopped eating animals so I can't rock real leather anymore, how you feeling the superstar-82-shoes/HP3169? Kinda the best I can do, I hate the hemp and recycled shoes they are making, so ugly, but these look pretty good, almost like wooden panels and I am as white as you can be before albino so cream and cloud have been making me not look so much like the living dead, though I love the look of white still.

How about "part white" sneakers. I bought 2 pairs of Cole Haan low cut leather sneakers to go with my black jeans. One pair is pure white, the other has a black upper with white soul. Should I have gone for monochromatic black. How about adding white laces on the black shoes to match the soul?

Over here in Europe, plain white sneakers are less in style than in 2022. Quality leather sneakers in one color still are but not necessarily in white.
I wear white socks with my white gym shoes. To wear any other color looks ridiculous and will cause my feet to perspire even more. I'll listen to what the doctor says to do regarding that. Outside of that, I agree with Ashley. She's spot on with the no shows. I wear them a lot. They are good for your feet and protect the inside of the shoe and your feet won't smell bad.

Ashley, can you please recommend some good no show socks/brands? I tried different ones, and the back/heel of the no show socks always come off, and wont stay in place, after walking for a bit.
Don't understand her problem with white socks. It doesn't look that bad, I wear them with vans old skools a lot..

Sorry i hv to agree n disagree on the shoe lace. Not all the time u need a clean no lace look, the laces actually adds a bit of ruggedness, just like how many boots are, it hav that raw look, its like u dont ask people to hide the drawstrings from hoodies, it makes it look weird. I think the key is depend on your look, if u r going for a clean chic yes it should be a considered option to optimise the look. On top of that over the years i realise some shoes they sell u the shoe lace that uses material or have a bad length that makes it extra sloppy, but it wasnt wrong to show the lace but how u manage it. Deeming it guilty outright is not exactly correct, n being a stylist myself i will never say never but more like reasoning why n how instead.

But we changing sneakers every 3 months, shoes are the only thing that stays in our wardrobe for few years if we’re not going to work in them, if we are working in them then maybe 6 months lighter shoes, 6 months lighter boots, no one likes to wear same sneakers or shoes for a few years so they don’t have to be timeless

im all about this but tucking the laces inside the shoe is really uncomfortable and style should never come before comfort imo. Note aside how do you guys dealing with super low socks? the back of my feet always suffers when no sock in there.
I just wear ankle socks. There's no point getting blisters/sore skin. That's a lot more uncomfortable and longer-lasting than tucking laces in.
With many shoes I replace the laces with shorter ones 😂 that usually helps with hiding them without losing comfort

Ashley is alittle too harsh on some of these. I get the colored soles etc but gum soles? She's alittle too harsh on these.
I'll go a step further. No socks with white sneakers are comfortable too. If it's hot out you are better off without socks. Your sweaty feet will dry faster.

I can't wear no show socks as my ankles rub & cut the skin against the shoe. So I always go for plain ankle socks that compliment the colours of the rest of my clothes

Gentlemen, always love your wife's choices in everything she does. Even if it's not your first choice when it comes time to decide which one to choose. I haven't always liked the clothing choices of my blondes, but if there is no problem with the activity in question. So where is the problem, its just like any other everyday situation. honestly, i think white sneaker are super overrated. Its neither elegant or cool looking. These days you either see Derbys if you are going for a chic look or Sneakers like the converse chuck 70s for a more Streetstyle look.
