The Converse Chuck Taylors are classic shoes man and I love their history or backstory but they are among one of the most uncomfortable shoes I ever wore too. I agree with you DJ and I would give it a 2 or 3 out of 10 in terms of comfort.
My go to in this price range would have to be the Adidas Forum '84 Low's, the Hi's are my all time favourite sneakers, build quality for the price is insane!

I think the “Nike Court Vision low” is a cheaper, more comfortable replacement for the wt AF1. IMO, the AF1 is like wearing bricks!!
