I own over 100 pairs of shoes, but I only wear three. Back in 1985, Air Jordan was officially launched. I saw those and thought they were the greatest things I've ever seen. I saved my money and got a pair of those shoes. That changed the trajectory of my life and career forever. I became obsessed with shoes from that point on, which brings me to the point of this video. I have wasted so much money on shoes that I have never worn. There are only three styles of shoes that I wear on a regular basis, and these three solve every style problem or situation that comes up. Workout & exercise shoes did not make the list because these are not stylish, but you need them for working out. So, the shoes I'm talking about today are stylish and needed for specific events like weddings, job interviews, parties, or casually kicking it.
Minimal leather sneakers. It is the most versatile shoe; you can dress down or dress up. They're clean and minimal, and you cannot go wrong with them. They are way cooler than boat shoes and come in a variety of variations. I personally love the gum sole.
Hybrid shoe. This can be dressed up or down and works with literally every outfit. There are a few different loafers, but you need to make sure that you have the right profile. It shouldn't be too fat, and the toe box should be nice and rounded. You can choose from black or brown, but brown is more versatile. The double monk strap is my favorite. You can elevate your style by wearing these. Cap-toe lace-ups work with dress jeans, and they work incredibly well with a suit. This shoe type adds style, texture, and dimension to any outfit.
Boots. Rugged/casual, Chelsea, and Chuckka boots are amazing options. These boots are versatile nowadays, and if you opt for suede, you're adding richness to your outfit. Don't worry about messing up the suede because when that gets a bit rough, it looks a bit more aged, which equates to sexy.

I hope he’s wearing a pair of shoe liners (we used to call them ‘womens peds’); however, I’ve always winced when I see a man wearing loafers, dress shoes, etc, appearing to be sockless. It looks unhygienic, smelly, and thoughtless. I also hope this shorter, ankle-grazing dress pant look dies very soon. When fashions get shorter/smaller/tighter, it’s a sign that the economy is doing poorly, as clothing manufacturers are able to use less material, and thinner material, in order to push these ‘fashions’ at us while charging higher prices as they deal with higher inflation.

But you can also wear long sock.. if you don't need the air flow.
Because if you can see the end of your socks then you don't really look like you know how to dress yourself... in my opinion!

In my opinion Chelsea boots are a must-have. They look amazing under my formal wear, but also elevate your casual outfit.

I can’t do white sneakers. I do own the all black Thursday sneakers. I’ve had them for 2 years. I haven’t taken them out of the box since the day I bought them. I don’t even know if they fit properly. I’m a boot guy all the way. I probably have 20 pairs of boots from Redwing to Nick’s. Most of them are from Origin though. It’s just a damn good boot for $300. I get a $150 yearly boot allowance from work and I have amassed a nice collection.

Good videos always but I need to kick something here. What is it with this trendy dress sneaker “on “? I see too many guys were on TV with their suits. It’s too dressed down. They don’t replace dress shoes. In my opinion they look too fashion forward and some of them look gangster. With the loafer, the penny loafer is OK but one better option I would suggest is the plain toe loafer.

The number of shoes you have doesn’t really matter in the big picture, just like many other social rules.
With boots I always make sure that they have steel toe & electrical insulation as well because when you’re doing actual work you want to make sure that you’re protecting your feet and body from any possible unforeseen problems that may arise. I got a $400 pair of awesome Redwing boots that had been discontinued but still in stock during the back to school sales which I paid $80 for them. I’ve had them for nearly a decade and they’re still in great shape. I personally don’t like the low cut sneaker myself especially white because they always seem to end up getting spoiled through random issues that with a black or darker sneaker isn’t as big of an issue. Every white pair of sneakers I’ve had had become beyond salvageable within less than a month but darker shoes I’ve been able to maintain the fresh look of them for years. Personally I swap out of his list the low cut sneaker (with the exception of All Stars because I grew up on the west coast and they hold a special place for me in style) with Jordans but I prefer older retro Jordans because the last decade they’ve lowered the quality in them significantly which have them fall apart before the fabric actually doesn’t look new anymore. I have a few pairs of dress shoes from Gucci which I’ve picked up 2/3 of them from Gucci outlet stores (you need to go over these with a fine tooth comb because they will have at least one flaw that won’t allow them at the actual Gucci stores but you can get them for a fraction of the price) and my horsebit loafers from Gucci that I got at their actual store that are my main shoe when dressing up if I’m using black. We gotta be willing to change our styles up as men based on the specific occasion that we’re going to so that we look like we actually belong at the place we’re currently at. This goes with the wardrobe as well I have a few suits that I don’t wear too often but they can range from professional, to casually nice upscale event, and finally black tie events. I usually like to dress more casually but I do have a large collection of polo’s that range from plain to unique patterns that I’ve matched properly with other pieces for the same style of event so they complement each other. I’ve always been most comfortable in khakis/jeans with a tshirt (can be a plain tshirt to a wide variety of different shirts based on where I plan to go with it) along with my basketball shoes/sneakers that match my specific outfit properly. Women definitely love it when we are able to look fresh in any situation and your womans friends will let her know that you look good which will drive up your value with your woman as well. Also never put them on a pedestal and learn to be naturally more reserved which will drive up your value. You need to be confident enough to engage in conversations with her & her friends which will get you points from her and her friend circle. Always be working on yourselves gentlemen expanding your knowledge base as well as skills which will help increase your value.
All of these are bunion-shaped. No one should want these. Narrow toe box, thick sole, elevated heel, all of this stuff is terrible for your entire body. Once you wear a shoe that is foot-shaped and lets your feet do what they need to do, you won't want to go back to "regular shoes".
Then donate the remaining 97 pairs.

Sketchers has some that go up to 16 and also wide fit, just when shopping for the shoe select the "don't see your size" option and new sizes will show up :D not all have the same sizes though, some fall short, some do have bigger options

I went through a Timberland boot phase. Still love the Drifter style boot in tan as well as black. But I realized I just had to many different styles and colors so I donated a lot of them. I focus on quality and I'm very picky now with shoes and boots. I love Thursday Boots quality and styles but I also do see some nice styles with Johnston & Murphy.
Only boots I have are Nike boots and they're still great til this day for me.

Yes it’s an Ad for Thursday Boots but the video is literally really helpful about choosing what shoes to wear . I actually have a few jackets and boots from this company and I couldn’t agree with him more . Their materials are SUUUPER high quality. Their style is timeless as well . If I could buy all their items I probably would I highly recommend. It’s a solid Company 💯

Not including workout trainers or indoor shoes like a pair of driving mocs (Don't include these two as they are not going out shoes). The only 3 would be a Brown Brogue Boot for casual, a Black Oxford for Formal and a Brown Penny loafer for again casual but summer friendly.
