Lindsay was right on point when she noticed the yellow color palette in Persona 4. Every Persona game is represented by certain colors. Persona 1 is purple, Persona 2 is deep red/light purple, Persona 3 is blue, P3P is pink, P4 is yellow and P5 is red.
P5 is red and black
Persona 2 is more golden-brown or reddish-brown than anything.
1 looks more grey
I don't think 1 and 2 had a set color scheme. I think P3 was the standard for that honestly

Here's an a horribly simplified version of what Persona 4 and 5 are about.
Persona 4: A murder mystery about stopping a serial killer from yeeting people into TVs using the power of friendship. While "searching for the truth".
Persona 5: A gentlemen theif story about rebelling against society and "stealling the hearts" of the horrible people in power.

Every Persona game has its own color, although they became way more prominent from Persona 3 onward. Persona 1 has purple, 2s (there are two Persona 2s) have blood red, 3 has blue, 4 yellow and the latest game, Persona 5, has a bit more vibrant red.
"They say that truth will out" is actually grammatically correct, I'm pretty sure. Took me years to figure that one out tho

Hopefully with the success of Persona we can get an anime for Shin Megami Tensei once the next game comes out. I've been wanting to get into the SMT/Persona series long before the impact of P5 simply because my favorite character from my favorite game series, Dante (guy in my profile pic), had a cross over with SMT3. The guy who designs the demons designed the demons and demon forms in Devil May Cry 3 and so Capcom leant them Dante as a boss and party member.
Anyways the reason I never tried the series is because I never had anything I could play it on. Recently though SMT3 and something else related were announced for Switch and I remember hearing awhile back that SMT3 was on the PS store I've just been waiting for a new SMT game to be out. I've been kind of afraid Atlus may kill SMT due to a good bit of Persona's popularity coming from it's highshool setting and being about rebelling against societal norms rather than some wierd ass kid draging god from depths of hell to kick his ass, leveling Tokyo in the process.
For these, the first two openings were from an adaptation of vanilla Persona 4, the original release and covers the whole story really well, and I honestly really like that anime. I recommend it if you don't plan to play the games, you'll still get the story really well.
The next two are an adaptation of Persona 4 Golden, the newer version of 4 that came out, including new characters and story elements added on to the original. The Golden anime pretty much only goes through those changes and really focuses on the new character added, so it glosses over the original story really quickly. It was alright, not as good as the first anime IMO.
Then the last two were naturally an adaptation of Persona 5. And while the songs and openings are killer (because the music is ALWAYS good lol), yeah I like many others were very disappointed in the quality of the animation in most parts and the pacing of how they told the P5 story. This one is a no brainer, definitely play the game instead.
They also adapted the story of Persona 3 into four anime movies instead of a series. I feel those were REALLY good and if you get into the series, I would recommend watching them for sure, but there isn't really an opening for them, just a clip show of the characters doing some stuff before the story begins with the same song they used for the games opening.
If you need help gathering the openings for ALL the games, there are quite a few lol, so I'm sure someone would be willing to make sure you got links to all of them. And if a game had a re-release on a newer console it'll have a new opening. The spin-offs also have great openings, and most if not all the spin-offs are still canon to the stories as well, so I would definitely not skip them!

Actually when P5 Anime got a dub it really ranked up, it made it better because its like playing the game all over again.

Id be 100% down for a play-through of p5 on stream. It’s definitely a long game and that can turn away people, but I definitely recommend it.
Every persona game has a completely different story with their little personas which is basically your starter pokemon and as you keep playing you can catch other personas and unlike other personas
Persona is like your high school story that ends in your graduation.
Something big always happens like a world-ending scenario that no one will know except the gang and participants.
you got sent to another world long nose guy who helps you summon your personality like an avatar to fight then the next day came like nothing happened.
You progress to get a stronger card avatar then beat the main bad guy at world end, save the day, and graduate.
at least that is the vibe I get at persona 1 3 4 5 play and watch

Personally, I'd suggest watching the OPs for the newer games and the spin-offs, the older games feel more similar to Shin Megami Tensei, the franchise which Persona is a spin-off of, though the ones I've watched are also good. Also, Catherine and Catherine: Full Body are from the same team making the Persona games, so might be worth checking out. Also, Persona 3 has an anime adaptation which is 4 movies, they don't have proper OPs but the initial song in each of them, especially the first 2 movies, are pretty good. Finally, I think Persona 3 and Persona 4 can be watched in movie format, but you should play Persona 5 Royal as far as 5 goes. And don't start with the Golden animation for Persona 4, it should be watched after the original.
The persona games are some of my favorite games. When it comes to P5A most of the issues were with pacing It's hard to cram 100+hrs into 24 eps and there were frequent drops in quality of the animation .
Persona Trinity is the one thats missing and was the first anime adaption of the series but it was more of a "fill in the gaps filler" for Persona 3, not sure if Persona 3 had a opening or not cuz i heard they were movies instead.
The first movie did technically have an opening, but it was just like, a quick visual of the characters right before the story started, and the song was the same as the games opening song.

The persona aspects of the game just explore the grow of a character itself but each story relate to the game thematic

This is clearly late and I'm not sure if anyone else said this but the opening you missed was for the Persona 3 Movie (I think that's what it's called) and Persona Trinity Soul.

Persona 4 the animation was one of the few anime that I watched that got me hooked on anime and now I am full weeb. Well it is what it is, you guys have to at least check out the Persona games if the time and money. Would love to hear your thoughts about it after you have played it.
The P5A wasn't too good compared to the game, but even so the first opening is a banger.

Each Persona game has a certain color theme. My favorite game is still P4 though and they will milk this game until we die because this game is very popular and we are desperate for content sometimes.
Yeah there a good 10+ op for the games since there are rereleases. Every game has a different op that not worth missing. So maybe need to make atleast 2 video for those ops

The persona 5 anime had great openings and endings but the actual show had...issues, quite a few infact. It wasn't s very good adaptation. It's an anime you can't really watch without playing the game.
Persona 4 anime though, that shit is great. It's not as good as the games but it's still a really really great anime and can be enjoyed on its own.
We...don't talk about the Golden anime. Let's just say that doesn't exist.

The 5 anime is “fine.” Compared to the game it is extremely subpar. You can’t cram over 100 hours of narrative development and character relationships into 24 episodes. The new English dub for the 5 anime adds a whole lot to it. Overall the 5 anime is just extremely rushed, the style of it is fine.

It isn't terrible, but there are some parts in the animation where you can tell that the animators really didn't care about the anime.

I think persona goes first before Jojos. So persona couldn't be referenced from stand. But it could be the other way around.

Personally I'd suggest playing the original Persona 5 first since I personally feel the new version changed the story as a whole and experience for the worse, but as a game the new version is indeed better.

Anime, watch the P3 movies by all means! P4 anime is good, P5 anime is... Not very appreciated. With good reason. (if youre not going to play the games, otherwise I'd recommend playing the games a lot more. Especially since the anime will tell you everything that happens in the games stories as well).

P3 and P4 have good anime adaptions, only P5 has a shitty adaption.
The Persona 3 & 4 Animes were good but 5's Anime was terrible (the OPs and EDs were the only decent parts of the show)... and Trinity Soul was Trinity Soul... don't watch Trinity Soul.

@@CottonPuffFluffer If you're talking about The anime adaptions its not the worst, its the best persona anime adaption in my opinion. But if you're talking about the games, it's 3rd best behind Persona 3 and 2... so not the worst.
@@CottonPuffFluffer The original (not golden) P4 anime is known as being the best anime persona adaptation... still you should never watch a persona anime before playing the games it is based on as you just can't fit 80 hour games into 25 episodes but the persona 4 anime felt like a nice bonus to watch after playing the game. Persona 3 was decent but was missing a load (though that is to be expected).
