You probably wouldn’t do it but there’s a video with every opening from the persona series that’s over an hour long. You can really see how varied and wild the series is with all its style choices.
@@DefinitelyNotDefinitiveGames I request that you guys maybe look into doing it then! I think you guys would like seeing the progression and differences.
Persona 5 is about a group of highschool students that have the power to go to a world comprised of twisted human desires and they decide to use this new found power to change the hearts of corrupted authority figures throughout society from sexual predators to elected officials. Each persona Game has a theme and 5’s theme is breaking free from the chains society ties us down with
The games also place heavy emphasis on the usage of Jungian Psychology, with Persona 5 taking a couple of them more literally than the previous games did, such as personas being the masks that you wear.
As someone who absolutely loves these games I can’t wait to see more reactions! Fun fact: A big theme in Persona games, especially Persona 5 is Non-Conformity, Self expression, and rebellion. All of the art in these openings reflects that with the semi graffiti style, and the music behind them always emphasizes this. Honestly it would be awesome to see some reactions just to the music in the Persona series as most people would say it’s some of the best in gaming!
If ever there was a game for you guys to play, it’s Persona 5 Royal. This game is and always will be in my top 3 favorites of all time. It’s a long journey and a wild ride, but it’s absolutely wonderful.
Basicly persona is Japanese highschool by day, fighting and collecting demons by night. And all of this is done with style and to good music. Also the cats name is Mona and he wants you to go to bed... NOW! Can't wait to see what you guys think of the awakenings, when people unlock the personas inside them, those are always great moments.
Persona 5 is a mix of Japanese social commentary, high school drama, Jungian psychology and a dash of Gnosticism, along with jazz and turn-based combat using a variety of summonable entities.
You've gotta check out the openings for the other games, 5's openings are purposely vague and doesn't give you too many hints about the game, none of them really do, but whereas 1, 2, 3, and 4 use their openings to set up intrigue, 5 primarily uses them as a showcase of the game's excellent style. 3 and 4 both had a more "figure out what's going on" vibe with 3 having you ascend a massive tower to vaguely save the world from a thing called the dark hour (which is the best way I can explain it without any spoiler) whereas 4 is a murder mystery game. 5 is more of a heist movie type deal in a sort of parallel world, but with the caveat that they can steal a special treasure from someone to get them to admit to all of their crimes, so basically you're playing Robbin Hood. In the time between these plotlines in every game you also have to juggle the ordeal of being a high school student. It's an excellent series and I highly recommend you check it out.
@@DefinitelyNotDefinitiveGames imo 5, no longer need to set up intrigue, the others had to cause the brand wasnt well know, p4 kinda launched the game from a niche JRPG, to a series most ppl know something about, so by the time 5 was coming out, fans were gonna buy it regardless, so no need to set up, they could focus on the style and art, its kinda like once brand becomes big enough that it can be more creative.
Let’s just say the main theme of persona in general is be yourself and freedom. Although all games has an additional theme to them, that’s why you see a lot of dancing, free running and overall doing what they want.
Freedom ia main theme for P5, but for others it's different. For P1 it's a game about accepting yourself, for P2 it's your past sins and accepting their consequences, for P3 it's acceptance of inevitable death, for P4 it's about being honest with yourself and being open to others.
You have no IDEA how long I've wanted to see you guys react to persona 5 royal awakenings The game itself is really long but super fun it's a dungeon crawling turn based time management game if you were curious about that Persona dancing in starlight is a spin off where it's a match the beat game where the characters dance to remixes of the games music
I really love this franchice! Persona 5 is an amazing game and honestly once learning the story it really toys with your heart. I really look fowered to your next reaction to it!
I have devoted so many hundreds of hours to this series. And I regret nothing. So good. Typically this series will release a normal, vanilla version, and then a few years later will release a deluxe version of sorts with more content and characters. That's what Royal is. One of my favorite characters used to be very controversial over in the US. Then Royal came out, added some context and more content with them and they're pretty loved now
I always cry when I see Persona 5 Openings, even just the music alone. This game changed my life. I make it short this game is about teenager trying to fight against corrupt people that destroy the life of others and for the freedom to be who they are. The story is amazing and emotional
to answer Bethany's question at the end, each one of the main games has a primary theme, the dancing one is a spin off game but it mainly goes as such. P3: memento Mori, never forget that you are mortal and must face death eventually. (probably has the best story) P4: facing the truth and not letting other things and people cloud your judgment and trying to see past lies and deception (played as a murder mystery and probably has best characters) P5: Rebellion against corruption and being the one to stand up rather then just taking whatever's thrown at you. (best style and villains. especially with the Royal edition.)
In a recent video I mentioned Super Butter Buns for her For Beginners series, so it is super convenient that you are looking into Persona 5. She has a somewhat meaty video, I think somewhere in the 30-45 minute range if I recall correctly, that is an entertaining dive into the game and story. Also it is a great video to start into her content with. Persona 5 is a bigger beast than anyone, even longtime fans of the series, could have expected going into it.
Ah! Persona 5. My game of all time. If there was ever a game or game series that I wish I could forget to relive the awesomeness once again, it'd be Persona 5. I fell in love with games again because of P5. The story, characters, art style, battle system, music just pure perfection.
The Persona games have some of the best soundtracks in video games, and the entire game series has a special place in my heart. I hope you both react to all of the openings, because each one is incredibly unique and stylish and not a single one gives clues to the actual story out of context.
Y'all should check out the openings to the "Tales of" series. They also do the thing where they'll also make an anime after and have animation for certain cutscenes for the game as well. The most recent Tales of game Tales of Arise is getting an anime soon and some other project but the other series have openings for both the games and animes. More importantly Tales of often gets Ufotable to do the animation and they're known as one of the best anime studios in the last decade. They also did stuff for a few other games like the Fate series and Grand Blue Fantasy but Tales of is known to put some of those animations in the actual game and have these cool openings like Persona.
Surprised to see this on this channel. I hope they do all of the openings to this series, with each entry having fantastic and unique songs, I'd like to see how they feel about the retro aesthetics of 1 and 2, the hip hop of 3, the rock of 4 since they enjoyed the jazzy nature of 5. Appreciate it guys :)
As everyone explained the concept of P5, I’ll try my best to tell you guys about the main cast without getting much into spoilers. They basically form into Phantom Thieves in the Metaverse, basically an alternate reality where cognition takes shape, depending on a person’s view. - The black-hair guy (Codename: Joker) is the main protagonist. After a run-in inside a Palace, Joker awakens to his Persona. During the heist, his abilities increase as he is able to wield multiple Personas. He was then made the leader of the Phantom Thieves. - The little cat is Morgana (Codename: Mona). Morgana is a strange being that Joker runs into while in the Metaverse. While he looks like a cat, Morgana claims that he was human, or so he thought. In reality, he takes the form of a normal cat. - The blonde hair guy is Ryuji Sakamoto (Codename: Skull). He was a track & field athlete in Shujin High School who became an outcast due to an incident involving a abusive P.E teacher. Despite having a rough life, Ryuji is very protective of anyone he cares about when they get hurt. - The twin-tailed girl is Ann Takamaki (Codename: Panther). A quarter American-Japanese girl who is not only a student but also a famous model. She, Ryuji, and Joker all have a common goal, leading them to form the Phantom Thieves. - The blue-haired guy is Yusuke Kitagawa (Codename: Fox). Yusuke is the first member to join after the thieves have been formed. He is an oddball who’s into Japanese arts. - The short-brown haired girl is Makoto Niijima (Codename: Queen). She’s a class president of Shujin Academy, the same school the protagonist attends. As such, she makes sure that students are studying hard. She also serves as the tacticion of the Phantom Thieves. - The orange hair girl is Futaba Sakura (Codename: Oracle). Futaba is a hacker who became a shut-in after her mom got into a tragic accident. After overcoming the truth, Futaba joined the thieves to avenge her fallen mother. Futaba doesn’t directly fight, she only specializes in navigation and back-up. - The girl in pink is Haru Okumura (Codename: Noir). Her father is the president of a food-chain company. She became a thief when her father puts her in a arranged marraige.
The Persona 5 openings is less about lore and more about showing its special visuals and animations, from what I gathered, The Phantom Thieves (Which are made up of the main 7 people and probably a bit more, Joker, Skull, Fox, Noir, Queen, Futaba which is the lady that's computer smart, and the cat) are a band of people who enter called the metaverse, a supernatural realm born from humanity's subconscious desires, their whole goal is stealing malevolent intent, in other words, they're good people, doing stuff in a crazy realm made up of somebody's freaky desires, all because that somebody is starting to either affect or be affected by their desires in the real world. Thus, there's the line you kept seeing, "Take your heart", in a way stealing bad desires.
in persona 5 the main ones are joker, skull, panther, mona(cat), fox, queen, noir, oracle, and crow, and in the persona 5 royal trailer called crow and violet and in persona 5 strikers instead of crow and violet its wolf and sophie
Very excited to see this! Persona 5 is one of my absolute favorite games. It has amazing storytelling and acting that really gets you emotionally invested in all of the characters you meet and what's going on around them. The only way to actually know what's going on is by seeing the actual game since the openings are really just meant to be flashy without giving anything away, but it's definitely a series worth learning more about.
This game series is amazing I remember seeing this series didn’t think much of it till i decided to give it a chance glad I gave this series a chance 😊 Also the music is really good
The most hype parts of the game definitely have to be the awakenings! Absolutely can’t wait for you to react to the awakenings and probably get a better understanding of what type of game P5 is.
So to explain the intros the very first intro is from Persona 5 Royal which is an expansion/rework of Persona 5. Every Persona game has gotten one of these changes typically consist of adding in more Persona's, reworking of the combat system either minorly or majorly, adding in cutscenes for more context/smoother story telling and changing how enemies fight. Second Intro is Persona 5 itself, also don't be fooled despite the dancing there is very little to none of it actually in the game. 3rd Intro for Person 5 Dancing it's something that the recent Persona game gets its basically a rhythm game. Intro after that is for the animation, the animation is basically the story condensed into an anime meaning that you get only certain aspects of the story typically the most important stuff while the non-critical elements are shifted to the side. Next is Persona Q2 this is a game for the 3DS hence the very 'chibi' style artwork it's a game that's essentially a huge crossover between Persona's 3, 4 and 5. Game after that is Persona 5 Strikers, Persona 5 Strikers is a Dynasty Warriors style game made by the Dynasty Warriors crew, this game is rather unique in Persona as it's one of the few games that's an actual sequel to the main game instead of a spin off like Dancing and Persona Q2. The names that appear next to the character are the characters codename/Phantom Thief name which they use when they enter the metaverse. The character's code names are, Joker, Panther, Skull, Fox, Queen, Noir, Oracle and Mona. The cat's real name is Morgana and he's hard to explain without giving away major story details if you two wished to play the game. Persona is originally a Video Game series but it's been so popular it was given an anime series. Keep in mind that the anime is strictly a "Bare Bones" of events and focuses only on major story details if you wanna get absolutely everything you gotta play the game. The smashing of buildings in Persona 5 Royal can't be explained again without giving away major story details but the safest I can say is them smashing 'society' in a sense and not in a negative way.
Persona is a series in another series as I understand it. The „main title“ is Shin Megami Tensei. P5 also was split into multiple games. P5 / P5 Strikers / P5 Royal. P5S has different mechanics from the base of the classic P5 or JRPG and iirc has a continued but seperate story to P5 with some additional characters. P5R is more or less the slightly reworked P5 with extended but same story and one added character. Overall motivation is to change people’s hearts. To achieve this the group hast to enter the „mind dungeon“ of the target and steal their heart (as in things they love). The big second part is the dating sim with your companions to get bonus in dungeons. There are also „main-side“ characters which you have to interact with a lot. But they aren’t part of the active party you take to battle. I hope this can give you a small glimpse of what Persona is about. PS: There is a set timer to complete the game. Which is one year and you can only do so much in one day. In addition there are certain activities you can only do on specific times and or days. So max out your relationships you have to micromanage a bit. And there also is a part of collecting Pokémon in it.
First opening is Persona 5 Royal, a rerelease with some extra content. Second is the original Persona 5 game. Third is a Persona 5 dancing game spin off. Fourth is the Persona 5 anime based on the story of the original game. Fifth is the crossover spinoff between Persona 3, 4, and 5. Sixth is the Persona 5 dynasty warriors type spin off.
Also to add to add to what you saw there’s persona 5 then persona 5 royal the JRPG, then p5 the animation, dancing in starlight the dancing game, then PQ 2 the crossover of other persona games , and last was strikers the musou fighting game and the cats name is morgana
*I'm not someone who's finished Persona 5, but I'd say to explain the game in the most basic way possible, you play as the "Phantom Thieves".* *They're a group of (mostly) high schoolers that are secretly vigilantes (Joker's the leader) who enter people's minds to "change their hearts".* *Who's hearts you might ask? Usually bad people, ranging from a pervert teacher, to a crime boss, to a corrupt politician, and many others.* *The "cat" is Morgana, he has 3 different forms, one of which is a minivan because, magic I guess... In the game when night comes and you try to do any activities, do homework, play video games, start a Mission, etc. Morgana would constantly remind you how you should "go to sleep", which I think became a meme at some point.* *Oh and another thing, this game is all about time management. Missions have time limits, so you gotta make the most of it. Choosing when to study for the test, do homework, hang out with friends, even doing Phantom Thief related stuff. Though when I say "time limit", I mean time only passes when you do an action and stuff.* *Not to mention doing stuff can improve your skills, doing good in school increases intelligence, hanging out with fellow Phantom Thieves can improve both your relationships and their abilities in combat, and other stuff.* *Though if you're considering getting persona 5, Persona 5 and Persona 5 Royal are mostly the same game, except Royal comes with slight improvements, a few changes to the story, not to mention it's much easier than the original, at least what I heard.*
To clear up your confusion, these openings are from, in order: #1. Persona 5 Royal, an updated re-release of the original game #2. Persona 5, said original game, a JRPG #3. P5 Dancing in Starlight, an actual dancing/rhythm game #4. P5 the Animation, a straight anime adaptation of the game (though this video only had OP1) #5. Persona Q2, a spin-off dungeon crawler that's also a crossover with P3/4 #6. P5 Strikers, a hack and slash action RPG that's basically Persona 5-2.
the openings you reacted to were Persona 5 Royal, the enhanced definitive version of the Persona 5 universe. then the original Persona 5 game, then the spin off rhythm dancing game, then an animated show of the original Persona 5, then Persona Q3 which was another spin off featuring characters from Persona 3&4, then Persona 5 strikers which was the last other spin off of this series with more story and a different style of gameplay
If you react to P5 awakenings and don't wanna miss some details, make sure you react to a video that includes both P5 Royal (a "definitive" version of the game that includes a whole extra story with a new ally character and a new villain) and P5 Scramble (a spin off game that focuses on action instead of being a turn based RPG like the original)
Persona 4 and 5 are up there as my favorite JRPGS of all time!! I’ve easily put so much time into both games, the visual style, combat, and overall aesthetic of both games are so unique!! Joker is one of the best protagonists in modern gaming!!!
I can not express enough how much you absolutely need to experience Persona 5. Also Persona 5 Royal, The Animation and also Persona 5 Strikers. This franchise may look just like another run-of-the-mill anime/JRPG but believe me when I say it is much, MUCH more than that. Just experience it! Actually I suggest playing it together. I can guarantee that if you are patient and get past the first few slow hours, you WILL sink hundreds, even thousands of hours into this masterpiece and you will enjoy every second of it. Take your heart!
So I came into the Persona Series when Persona 5 came out, it's a game. The first 2 trailers you saw were the main game, Persona 5 Royal (the first opening which was a sort of remaster of Persona 5 with extra content added) and Persona 5 (the second opening which was the original that came out in 2016). Both Persona 5 and Persona 5 Royal are under the genres of: roleplaying game, dungeon crawler, life simulation, simulation, social-simulation, and strategy game. Despite seeing dancing in both of the 2 first openings there is no dancing in the games, however, the third opening was for the spin off series for Persona which is a rhythm game with dancing. Persona 5 did get an anime series for the games which was the fourth opening. The fifth opening was another spin off game series for Persona, which that one was called Persona Q2 which does show characters from Persona 3 and 4 in it with the Persona 5 cast. The sixth opening was for the semi-sequel game of Persona 5 called Persona 5 Scrambled, however when it was released globally it became Persona 5 Strikers, which is more action based than Persona 5 and Persona 5 Royal which are turn based games.
Glad you got to see the openings, the only game I played five time back to back. I loved the music, storyline and the art style is awesome. You got to watch the persona awakenings!!!!
persona 5 is a video game. The first OP you saw was for Persona 5 The Royal, which is a re-release of Persona 5 with added content, like more events and character (The girl who dance with the umbreala wasn't in the OG P5) The second OP was for the OG persona 5. The third was from a dancing game spin off. The fourth was the first OP for the anime adaptation of P5. The fifth is a spin-off game titled Persona Q2, where the casts of P3. 4 and 5 team up together. The six is a spin-off/sequel to P5 title Persona 5 The Scramble, that takes place around six month after the main game, and has different game mechanics
Someone replaced the song for the origibal opening for P5 with Tank from Cowboy Bebop and it fits so damn well! Persona 5 is an outstanding game. The story is so touching and it grips you from the start, the music is so damn good and gets me ready to go from the first go.
Persona 5 is a lot of things ... First off, it's a life sim, where you go to class, work, hang out with your friends, etc. However, there are alternate worlds you can go into, where you use superpowers in order to make changes to the real world. Joker is a special case, being the main character in a persona game ... where other characters have one persona (their true self with powers), Joker can collect dozens of personas, making it also a persona collecting game. That's the main game, but there are a few spinoffs.
Persona 5 has hands down one of the best soundtrack in any videogames i've played ever. Also the gameplay/mechanics/story is among the best rpgs as well !
What I love about this is that it took until Strikers before they showed people that the Phantom Thieves aren't a dance troupe. There is THE dancing game, but that's not quite the same lol
Persona 5 takes place in modern-day Tokyo and follows a high school student known by the pseudonym Joker who transfers to a new school after being falsely accused of assault and put on probation. Over the course of a school year, he and other students awaken to a special power, becoming a group of secret vigilantes known as the Phantom Thieves of Hearts. They explore the Metaverse, a supernatural realm born from humanity's subconscious desires, to steal evil/bad intent from the hearts of others.
i love this series but its basis it kinda dark. they have things called persona aka inner selfs given form but they must be at there lowest point to realize this power to summon them(which can be dark). everyone has it including morgana(the cat). also yes its both game and animation
Persona 5 (I played Royal, missed the first one) was one of those games that had a profound influence on my life. Persona 4 was the same way. I sank over 100+ hours in Persona 5 and I would do so again gladly though I wish I could experience everything for the first time again.
so theres the original persona 5 game, then theres it rerelease with added content called persona 5 royal, then there is a dancing spin off game, a chibi side game with characters from other persona games, an animation based of the main person 5 game, and finally theres persona 5 scramble/strikers which is kind of like a spinoff having a differnt gameplay style but its also like a direct sequel as well to the main persona 5 game
The art and music style of the Persona style is pretty great. They're worth checking. I love the intros, although they don't really reveal much as far as the overall story and gameplay. You should check out the intros to Persona 4 too!
oOo i requested persona and we got persona YOOOOOO honestly these games are incredible, even older games like persona 3 are so good it’s insane (slightly biased since it’s my favorite game)
Definitely one of the few ganes where the soundtrack, story, and gameplay all are cohesive. To answer Beth's question...yes it's a game..but it also produced an animated series later on. The cat is named Morgana . The replay value on Persona 5 (Vanilla, Royal , and strikers) is exceedingly high. The story itself is very detailed ...especially with the characters. The soundtrack was composed by Lyn. The series as well as the soundtrack is just addicting. It's worth playing over and over. The order you play is.. Persona 5 (vanilla) Persona 5 Royal Persona 5 strikers. Dancing star night and Persona Q2 are different games and fun to play
it’s fitting that this is for Wildcard Wednesday since i’m the game, the protagonist is considered to be the Wildcard, which is why they named him Joker. what it means to be a Wildcard is the ability to use multiple Personas, unlike everyone else who only gets to use one. By the way, Personas, as well as Persona as a whole series was inspired by JoJo Stands
First Dragon Ball, then Jojo, then Fist of the North Star, then Guilty Gear, then Naruto, then Blazblue and now Persona. Let the Anime flow through you
also, to explain what's going on they are mostly games, there was a anime that didn't go through very well. there's persona 5 persona 5 royal persona 5 strikers persona 5 animated persona 5 dancing and persona Q 2. also, the cast is Joker Mona (the cat) Skull Panther Queen Oracle and Noir.
oh boy... if you loved the song be ready to be blown away bec. every one of the chracters has their own unique OST that is awesome to listen to and yes this game has taken atleast a hudnred hours of my life and im still satisfied
Persona 5 is one of my favorite games of all time and there is tons of stuff to watch. Id recommend all Persona 5 awakenings and then maybe Boss cutscenes as well. Mementos dialogues have hours and hours of but if there is a "best of" you could find that's shorter id recommend that as well
Hey I love your reactions but if you can you have to react to the characters awaking moments there so epic and it’ll give you a better understanding of what the series actually is and the Trailer as well
Winter Request Fest? Also, I know that I have been recommending Persona Openings before, but just the Persona 5 Openings? I was not expecting that, I was thinking more towards doing all of the Persona Openings throughout the Series, but I guess, as long as you’re doing Persona at all, i am fine with it, i hope you’ll do the rest of them eventually.
Oh man I am so glad you finally started reacting to the Persona series, I hope your react to 3's trailers since that's my favorite game (ever!). I understand your confusion tho haha, for sure a weird experience if you don't understand the context of the story and universe.
This game is a mix of things. You fight in turn based game, but you also live your life as a student, make friends, go to class, date, work. It can have a slow start as it sets up the story, but I loved the game as an introduction to the series.
Persona 5 games have taken hundreds of hours out of my life. And I wouldn't have it any other way.
100% agree with you there
Bro same!!!
P5R gave me hundred hrs and every bit of it was fun. Can't wait for Persona 6
Suddenly I feel lucky for being late
I have all these games so play now
Bruh me too
You probably wouldn’t do it but there’s a video with every opening from the persona series that’s over an hour long. You can really see how varied and wild the series is with all its style choices.
That be cool
True
Never say never. We’ve done hour plus reactions before 😅
@@DefinitelyNotDefinitiveGames I request that you guys maybe look into doing it then! I think you guys would like seeing the progression and differences.
Honestly, the only opening missing was “Break in to break out” which was the original OP for P5A.
I'm so happy you guys are doing Persona 5 I can't wait for you guys to see they awakenings
yess please haha
Oh my gods, YES.
y'all just gotta do all the persona 5 awakenings
Oh their reactions to those will be so good!
That’s for sure something we are going to check out. Not sure when but have had them requested quite a bit 🙂

Lots of love for the music for sure. And love your description of Persona and its theme 😀
If ever there was a game for you guys to play, it’s Persona 5 Royal. This game is and always will be in my top 3 favorites of all time. It’s a long journey and a wild ride, but it’s absolutely wonderful.
High praise 🤩😀
That is, if you have 200 hours of leisure time on your hands...
Yeah Mona really is something else 😉
You can't do any metaverse activities at night, Persona 3 is the only game where you do stuff at night.
@@frozenfoxgames5300 It is a figure of speech.
Mona sounds like our little Zoe, she always wanted us to go to bed super early. Like as soon as it got dark outside and her dinner was over 🥲
@@DefinitelyNotDefinitiveGames the name will throw you off, but it’s a male lol
Ooh! Wouldn't mind seeing your reactions to all the Persona openings at some point!
The soundtrack is a banger, all around. Cheers!
At some point we will but heard there are a lot so going to be a longer reaction 😅
Persona 5 is a mix of Japanese social commentary, high school drama, Jungian psychology and a dash of Gnosticism, along with jazz and turn-based combat using a variety of summonable entities.
and guns, there’s also guns
There’s also hitler
Awakenings will definitely give you the best picture of the KIND of story you're dealing with here, and ideas on the characters!

😎🤟
Let’s just say the main theme of persona in general is be yourself and freedom. Although all games has an additional theme to them, that’s why you see a lot of dancing, free running and overall doing what they want.
We dig that theme 🙂
Freedom ia main theme for P5, but for others it's different. For P1 it's a game about accepting yourself, for P2 it's your past sins and accepting their consequences, for P3 it's acceptance of inevitable death, for P4 it's about being honest with yourself and being open to others.
You have no IDEA how long I've wanted to see you guys react to persona 5 royal awakenings
The game itself is really long but super fun it's a dungeon crawling turn based time management game if you were curious about that
Persona dancing in starlight is a spin off where it's a match the beat game where the characters dance to remixes of the games music
Even if it never ends up on the channel, treat yourself to the Persona 5 Royal OST. This series creates some fantastic music
😎👍🙂
The music in these games is one of the best it made me stand up and dance for once just a very Artful game
I really love this franchice!
Persona 5 is an amazing game and honestly once learning the story it really toys with your heart.
I really look fowered to your next reaction to it!
This was a cool intro to the franchise but we look forward to learning more about the actual story and characters 😀
Then Royal came out, added some context and more content with them and they're pretty loved now
Thanks for explaining what Royal is because we were wondering the difference 🙂
Who, sketchy-Aketchi?
I always cry when I see Persona 5 Openings, even just the music alone. This game changed my life. I make it short this game is about teenager trying to fight against corrupt people that destroy the life of others and for the freedom to be who they are. The story is amazing and emotional
☺️
to answer Bethany's question at the end, each one of the main games has a primary theme, the dancing one is a spin off game but it mainly goes as such.
P3: memento Mori, never forget that you are mortal and must face death eventually. (probably has the best story)
P4: facing the truth and not letting other things and people cloud your judgment and trying to see past lies and deception (played as a murder mystery and probably has best characters)
P5: Rebellion against corruption and being the one to stand up rather then just taking whatever's thrown at you. (best style and villains. especially with the Royal edition.)
Thanks for answering my question! 😀😊🙏
Oh shoot there it is! Definitely ready to see a bunch of persona vids!
😅🥳
Ah!
Will double check to see if that’s on our request list 🙂
Surprised to see this on this channel. I hope they do all of the openings to this series, with each entry having fantastic and unique songs, I'd like to see how they feel about the retro aesthetics of 1 and 2, the hip hop of 3, the rock of 4 since they enjoyed the jazzy nature of 5. Appreciate it guys :)
First touched on this series in Smash Bros and have been curious about it. Finally seeing a little bit about it but we need more for sure 🙂
You forgot the most important part about Yusuke. He’s always broke
@@Eclipse_NT Thanks, I didn't know the names get changed a bit, I only played Strikers, wish I could experience the whole story eventually though!
Persona?? damn, Now I'm excited for you guys to check the entire series of it!
“I don’t know what I’m investing in.”
Pain and catchy music.
And really trippy monsters.
Very excited to see this! Persona 5 is one of my absolute favorite games. It has amazing storytelling and acting that really gets you emotionally invested in all of the characters you meet and what's going on around them. The only way to actually know what's going on is by seeing the actual game since the openings are really just meant to be flashy without giving anything away, but it's definitely a series worth learning more about.
the persona 4 intros and awakenings would be amazing to see
Aaaahhh!! I'm so happy to see you guys reacting to persona ❤️❤️❤️ I loce this game so much, can't wait to see you reacting to the awakenings 😳❤️
Glad you enjoyed the reaction and look forward to more Persona on the channel 🙂
@@DefinitelyNotDefinitiveGames me too! 🤩 check out genshin too, they have a lot of content you guys haven't seen yet ^^
This game series is amazing
I remember seeing this series didn’t think much of it till i decided to give it a chance glad I gave this series a chance 😊
Also the music is really good
I just started playing persona 5 and loving every hr of it. This is a much appreciated video.
When you talk about gaming music, you cannot miss out on the Persona series. ❤😍
A great series with deep storylines and phenomenal music.
Be cool to see you react to the OG series, Shin Megami Tensei and see the tonal shift compared to Persona.
AAAAA YOU GUYS NEED TO DO ALL THE GAMES TOOOOO
You two should really play the Persona 5 games. The storyline is absolutely stellar and the style is there throughout
Persona 5 is a 11/10 game especially the royal version
Persona in general has one of the best character development and social system
Why don't you play a real shin Megumi tensei game !
@@harshildave4936 no
3:20 i just love this drop, everytime i hear it it gives me goosebumps
0:49 "visually cool"
Welcome to Persona 5, praised for having some of the most stylish visuals.
Honestly I’d love to see you guys play any persona game!👍
Also to add to add to what you saw there’s persona 5 then persona 5 royal the JRPG, then p5 the animation, dancing in starlight the dancing game, then PQ 2 the crossover of other persona games , and last was strikers the musou fighting game and the cats name is morgana
Wildcard Wednesday and watching persona trailers hahah the coincidence of that is amazing heehe
*I'm not someone who's finished Persona 5, but I'd say to explain the game in the most basic way possible, you play as the "Phantom Thieves".*
*They're a group of (mostly) high schoolers that are secretly vigilantes (Joker's the leader) who enter people's minds to "change their hearts".*
*Who's hearts you might ask? Usually bad people, ranging from a pervert teacher, to a crime boss, to a corrupt politician, and many others.*
*The "cat" is Morgana, he has 3 different forms, one of which is a minivan because, magic I guess... In the game when night comes and you try to do any activities, do homework, play video games, start a Mission, etc. Morgana would constantly remind you how you should "go to sleep", which I think became a meme at some point.*
*Oh and another thing, this game is all about time management. Missions have time limits, so you gotta make the most of it. Choosing when to study for the test, do homework, hang out with friends, even doing Phantom Thief related stuff. Though when I say "time limit", I mean time only passes when you do an action and stuff.*
*Not to mention doing stuff can improve your skills, doing good in school increases intelligence, hanging out with fellow Phantom Thieves can improve both your relationships and their abilities in combat, and other stuff.*
*Though if you're considering getting persona 5, Persona 5 and Persona 5 Royal are mostly the same game, except Royal comes with slight improvements, a few changes to the story, not to mention it's much easier than the original, at least what I heard.*
Context helps. You guys need to give this series a chance. It changed my life.
To clear up your confusion, these openings are from, in order:
#1. Persona 5 Royal, an updated re-release of the original game
#2. Persona 5, said original game, a JRPG
#3. P5 Dancing in Starlight, an actual dancing/rhythm game
#4. P5 the Animation, a straight anime adaptation of the game (though this video only had OP1)
#5. Persona Q2, a spin-off dungeon crawler that's also a crossover with P3/4
#6. P5 Strikers, a hack and slash action RPG that's basically Persona 5-2.
Persona is hand down the best game series out there. And tge only one i habe gotten emotional over after combliting🙏
the openings you reacted to were Persona 5 Royal, the enhanced definitive version of the Persona 5 universe. then the original Persona 5 game, then the spin off rhythm dancing game, then an animated show of the original Persona 5, then Persona Q3 which was another spin off featuring characters from Persona 3&4, then Persona 5 strikers which was the last other spin off of this series with more story and a different style of gameplay
The vanilla game intro (the second one) is still my favorite
you guys always manage to watch stuff related to the property im playing the same day or time i start it
Our tracking technology is working 😜
If you react to P5 awakenings and don't wanna miss some details, make sure you react to a video that includes both P5 Royal (a "definitive" version of the game that includes a whole extra story with a new ally character and a new villain) and P5 Scramble (a spin off game that focuses on action instead of being a turn based RPG like the original)
Persona 4 and 5 are up there as my favorite JRPGS of all time!! I’ve easily put so much time into both games, the visual style, combat, and overall aesthetic of both games are so unique!! Joker is one of the best protagonists in modern gaming!!!
"I'M NOT A CAT!!" (с) Morgana
"Time to button mash!"
I love how these 2 have no idea what p5 is, got a laugh out of it
I can not express enough how much you absolutely need to experience Persona 5.
The cat that's showing up in the openings is named Morgana also can't wait to see u react to the awakings
Persona 5 is what got me into the series and There’s also an Anime based off the game too!
Glad you got to see the openings, the only game I played five time back to back. I loved the music, storyline and the art style is awesome. You got to watch the persona awakenings!!!!
persona 5 is a video game.
The first OP you saw was for Persona 5 The Royal, which is a re-release of Persona 5 with added content, like more events and character (The girl who dance with the umbreala wasn't in the OG P5)
The second OP was for the OG persona 5.
They explore the Metaverse, a supernatural realm born from humanity's subconscious desires, to steal evil/bad intent from the hearts of others.
i love this series but its basis it kinda dark. they have things called persona aka inner selfs given form but they must be at there lowest point to realize this power to summon them(which can be dark). everyone has it including morgana(the cat). also yes its both game and animation
so the chibi video at the end holds persona 3 4 and 5 characters. also you guys should do all the persona 1st summons those are super cool
These reacts are really cute--love seeing a gamer couple enjoying new things together!
Persona 5 (I played Royal, missed the first one) was one of those games that had a profound influence on my life. Persona 4 was the same way. I sank over 100+ hours in Persona 5 and I would do so again gladly though I wish I could experience everything for the first time again.
Getting close to 200k, nice! grats. Can't wait for the awakening reaction, I'm new to the series too.
so theres the original persona 5 game, then theres it rerelease with added content called persona 5 royal, then there is a dancing spin off game, a chibi side game with characters from other persona games, an animation based of the main person 5 game, and finally theres persona 5 scramble/strikers which is kind of like a spinoff having a differnt gameplay style but its also like a direct sequel as well to the main persona 5 game
The art and music style of the Persona style is pretty great. They're worth checking.
I love the intros, although they don't really reveal much as far as the overall story and gameplay.
You should check out the intros to Persona 4 too!
Thats right, Persona 5 is both, a game and an anime, and both are very good, especially the game
Why don't you play a real shin Megumi tensei game !
@@harshildave4936 I already played smt, but I prefer persona for all the aesthetics, style and everything, its more my kind stuff
@@Nixtalker it's a meme my man. Just search it on RUclips !
😎👍🙂
oOo i requested persona and we got persona YOOOOOO
honestly these games are incredible, even older games like persona 3 are so good it’s insane (slightly biased since it’s my favorite game)
Persona 5 (vanilla)
Persona 5 Royal
Persona 5 strikers.
Wild timing, I just finished the main story of persona 5 royal today
First Dragon Ball, then Jojo, then Fist of the North Star, then Guilty Gear, then Naruto, then Blazblue and now Persona. Let the Anime flow through you
😂😁🤗
also, to explain what's going on they are mostly games, there was a anime that didn't go through very well.
there's persona 5
persona 5 royal
persona 5 strikers
persona 5 animated
persona 5 dancing
and persona Q 2.
also, the cast is
Joker
Mona (the cat)
Skull
Panther
Queen
Oracle
and Noir.
Persona 4 is my favourite game ever and the persona is my favourite franchise so it's great to see you react to it along side my favourite anime rwby
omg this is my favourite game next to the final fantasy franchise i’m glad u did this :))
I suggest checking out the 2 music videos from the Persona 5 Dancing star night spin-off!
OMG PLEASE DO ALL THE PERSONA 4 OPENINGS FOR ALL THE GAMES THEY ARE AMAZING
oh boy... if you loved the song be ready to be blown away bec. every one of the chracters has their own unique OST that is awesome to listen to
and yes this game has taken atleast a hudnred hours of my life and im still satisfied
Persona 5 is one of my favorite games of all time and there is tons of stuff to watch. Id recommend all Persona 5 awakenings and then maybe Boss cutscenes as well. Mementos dialogues have hours and hours of but if there is a "best of" you could find that's shorter id recommend that as well
Persona series definitely has some the best music to come from video games ever 🔥
Hey I love your reactions but if you can you have to react to the characters awaking moments there so epic and it’ll give you a better understanding of what the series actually is and the Trailer as well
YOU NEED TO WATCH ALL OF THE PERSONA 5 SHOWTIMES. THEYRE SO GOOD
Winter Request Fest?
Also, I know that I have been recommending Persona Openings before, but just the Persona 5 Openings? I was not expecting that, I was thinking more towards doing all of the Persona Openings throughout the Series,
but I guess, as long as you’re doing Persona at all, i am fine with it, i hope you’ll do the rest of them eventually.
every persona opening is art, even the very first one which is one of my personal favorites
It can have a slow start as it sets up the story, but I loved the game as an introduction to the series.
damn man the music in persona 5 is top tier
