I always use a cup to cut out the center of the bread, then toast one side of the bread first. Once the first side of the bread is toasted, flip it over and crack an egg into the center. Let it sit for about 2 minutes on low heat. Make sure the bread is fully buttered before doing so. I always make sure to use butter for toasting the bread in a frying pan, NOT oil. Oil will make it soggy and takes out the flavor. Once the yolk looks ready and the egg white is completely done, then remove it and enjoy! Anyone can add their own salt and pepper afterwards.
